I have created a crystal report directly connected to Access 2007 (.accdb) file. In windows form i have below code and when i open the form i am prompted for database login. how can i rid from this database login?

I get an error everytime i try to load my report, it gives a report load failed error message. BTW I am meaning to change the msgbx to messagebox.show once i get this piece running. I don't know what could be the issue. Any assistance would be great. I think it may have something to do with my sql adapter.fill method.
I barely use windows form but now I have a windows form application, there is a Listbox control, which will populate Active Directory search result, not like other regular database.I am thinking it would be nice if user can print off the search result in the listbox?
I was thinking using a Crystal Report viewer, but how to define the data source, it is not like regular data source that I can set up a connection, the search result is a dynamically generated data table, not from database.

I tried out by extracting all text from pdf file and then displaying it as a text in a crystal report. It worked but while doing so it extract only pure text, all formatting(i.e. table etc) are removed.
View 2 RepliesI'm making a printable Purchase Order form using Crystal Report. This report retrieves data from two tables. Example, I have fields PONumber,DateofPO,Airline,DateofFlight,ETA,ETD from a table called tblFlight. I have fields PassengerName and Rate on another table called tblPassenger. Each PONumber can have multiple passengers. How can I get it so that I'll just be generating one PO that shows the multiple passengers while the rest of the items show only once? I've placed the PONumber and DateofPO on the PageHeader and the rest of the items on the Details section. But right now, on the Details section, if I have 3 passengers, the other fields also show 3 times on the report. Also, I'm considering to make a query but I have a conditional statement on my query, a WHERE clause that retrieves data dynamically. My problem is I'm not sure where to put the query, will it be on the .rpt or just on the Form? NOTE: I'm coding my SQL queries on the application itself, not inside the server, so no stored procedures/functions for me here.

I have tried Variables!Claimant.Value (for a variable called Claimant) but I get an error "Reference to a non-shared member requires an object reference." I have tried qualifying it with Report. and also with the report name in front of it but I get errors with this also.I have the variable CLaimant defined in the Variables section of the Report Properties.

I am trying to build a setup file which will install my vb.net application with database and crystal report files to the client.
1.) I created my vb.net application in release mode.
2.) I created new setup project and added my vb.net application project in that solution.
3.) Also added the primary output in application folder
4.) [dun know how to add database so] created app_data folder inside the application folder and added the database file manually from add->file
5.) [dun know how to add crystal reports so] created reports folder inside the application folder and added the reports manually from add->file
6.) Build solution.
7.) Tried deploying in client machine.
8.) Application runs fine and works great. But crystal report files doesn't. When i try to open crystal report some long error messages comes in my way.
So I would like to know is the way i am doing to add the database file and crystal report files correct? how can i make crystal reports work in client machine?
I plan on designing a Crystal Report, and then calling it through VB.NET code. Will the end-user need a Crystal license in order to use the crystal report part of the program?

I am generating PDF file using Crystal report ExportToDisk method in VB.NET 3.5.
Locally and on integration environment generated PDF file is much readable i.e.font size is good. But the PDF file generated on production environment is different in formatting.The lines are wrapping and font size is also little small. There is not Adobe installed on integration.
is there way /means to export from Crystal Report To Microsoft Word and print that document without opening Ms Word Program by vb net

View 1 RepliesI have a database app where on a button click, I export the current record to crystal report which in turns converts it to a PDF file. Upon application startup, I export one record into PDF just fine but when I move ahead to the next record and I click the export button, the new PDF file that was exported is now blank. If I restart the app, I can then export the one record again but any subsequent record will export to PDF as a blank PDF file.
To sum up:I can export one record once using the below code snippet but when I try it for a second time on another record, I get a blank PDF file (only the crystal report formatting is in the PDF).

I have created an application using vb.net 2008 and for reports Crystal Reports Basic for Visual Studio 2008 but the problem is, when I run the application in another machine away from developing box, I get the Load report failed notice. I don't have any idea on how I should approach this issue. I tried installing the CRRedist2008_x86 and CRRedist2005_x86 but still the problem won't go away.

I want to display the data from the table, column name "Remarks" in report footer but when I try to call the data it doesn't show the remarks. I'm using VB 6 and mdb files as my back end.
