Search, And Then Select From A Search, In A DataGridView Table?

I'm a bit of a noob at this and finding that all my research that's led me to wanting to do things right for data integrity are making it a bit more complicated on the front end.
Presently I have a Form in which I have two DataGridViews that I'm populating, each with it's respective stored procedure.
What the form is for is for linking rows from the one DataGridView (I'll call it DGV1) to a different one in the other DataGridView (DGV2).
Now to facilitate the ease of doing this for the user I want to both have the dgvs fully populated so that if the user wants they can just slide on through and manually select the rows in each they want and then there'll be a button to select which I'm planning to then use another stored procedure to then insert this connection between these two items into the database.
Another thing to facilitate this is a search bar. I want them to be able to type in something and have the datagridviews both navigate to where their selection is as well as selecting it so that it's then ready to be bound to the selection in the other.
What I'm wanting to know, and having a hard time figuring out, is how do you get such a search function to work on DataGridViews that I have bound to these read only stored procedures? How do I search and select within the DataGridView? And then how would I go about using the selection from two different datagridviews and putting those as parameters in the stored procedure that I wanted to use to then record the relationship in the database?

I'm using SQL as a database in VB 2010, I already add a table to my form as a datagrid view but I don't know how to add buttons for filtering, deleting and adding things in my table, for example I want to have one button on my form call it search button to search in table names or Phone Numbers. how can I do that and where shall I write the code?

This is the code I posted before. I have a thread open but it is confusing. I have a search of a datagridview. The search works. Now I would like to highlight the corresponding row of the search result. Scroll down to the highlighted row. If there are multiple results to the search critiria the next one should be highlighted.

Am developing a software for submission as project. As a part of it, am planning to create a Phonebook package. I created a database in access and i integrated it in VB.Net.
Information:
Database name : Contacts.accdb
DataTable : Contacts
Contents in table : First Name,Last Name, Phone, Address...
Platform : VB.NET in Visual Studio 2010
I integrated the access database in VB.NET using Data->Add new Data source and I successfully made it. Now I got a DataGridView. :) Now arises a question How to search a name in "First Name" Column? I just Googled to find row Filter. That appeared gr8 to me till I got a problem of adding new records. Once I applied Filter, I couldn't see the Addition of new records and I can't make selection process in DataGridView. Then I found that Filtering is not Searching. Any one to help me in searching the data in Dataview?

changing the way the site search is done from just search a phrase as one string to searching a phrase "as multiple words" search. For example, if I search "cute puppy" right now, it will search it for "cute puppy" as phrase and won't match just "cute" and "puppy". The way the search is implemented is by passing a search phrase to a Stored Procedure in SQL Server.So now, I need to change to site search so when "cute puppy" is searched, it will search two words.... "cute" and "puppy" instead of just "cute puppy". Below is how the store procedure is implemented

I'm creating a search function to search through a binary file and find a record based on the users input. Surprisingly, that isn't the problem! The problem I'm having is that as part of this I'm using a procedure to display results in text boxes, and I'm getting the error "Too many arguments to private sub display customer"I've encountered this error before, but never really knew what it was... I have a search function in my app which is a groupbox with a textbox that contains the search keyword and a couple of radiobuttons. Do I have to create a keydown event for every single radiobutton and textbox? Or is there a better way? I tried making a keydown event for the groupbox but that didn't work.

Im making a search function for an application and they need to be able to search by any value in the DB in any of the three tables. Im wondering the best wayto about this. 2 of the 3 tables have the same columns while the last one is totally different. Below is what I kinda "thought" itd look like but no.

I need to query the results the user can search for anyterm and if it matches something in the columns it return it to the user. I am developing a application in which i need to get images from a search engine. there are many choices to do that google,yahoo, bing etc. I chose bing simply because microsoft provides tight integration with bing and it offers more functionality to developers. So after searching some more i learned how to use this service in my application. I have an untyped dataset which is programmatically bound to a form in vb.net 2008. The first record in the dataset is not necessarily the record the user selected to view. I need a way to, after the binding is done, move the dataset to that particular record. I have a currencymanger in play for use of displaying the current record of how many records. I think I need to do a search and find the row number of the select record and then use the CurrencyManager.postion to do this but have had no luck in 3 hours to locate anything I can use.

I have created a SELECT FROM WHERE query to perform a search here is my code:

I have a listbox populated with dates in the format of dd/mm/yyyy e.g. 12/03/1983, 06/07/1987 etc.. Could someone please post the code that I could use so that I could search the listbox to multi-select the dates that fall within a specific month (not year or day). So for example I might want to highlight all the dates that contain the month **/10/** (october). I'm really struggling with this.

My application stands at the minute where the user can fill in a textbox, hit search and gets the results. The problem is that the user only get the exact name i.e. if he types in golf he only gets golf, what I need it to be able to do is when he types 'go' and hits search it shows all of the entries that contain 'go'.
My Current syntax is

I am currently using the Directory.GetFiles("Path of folder", "Specific Data") to search a folder for specific files and then do something with those files - this works perfectly. However i would like to search all sub folders within the top level folder also.I have seen ways to return what directories exist within the top level - which i could then use to search but was wondering if there is an easier way.

I am to make a program that lets the user save certain data values with a delimiter(":") to a text file(done) Example of data entries [code]Then i am to load those values to a listbox , i was able to do that as well and i include the delimiter when i load the values.Now i am supposed to let the user enter any month/year value for date(mm/yyyy) such as 06/2010 and if any of the entries match the search string then either the program selects those values in the listbox or a popup msgbox is used to show the entries. How the result is displayed is a little irrelevant, but how do i search and atleast select the matching entries in the listbox ? and not just the first instance but all instances of the search string.
