If MD4 sums are easier/simpler i can use those instead, im lookin at a few hash app sources now, so i think i can see how to get the md5 but not the crc32 yet, or how to rename the 2 files and folder based of the text file.

View 5 RepliesIm trying to write a loop that will read through a number of *.csv files in a folder and then stuff the data into SQL. The code works and will happily put the data i want for a named file into SQL no problems. So when i had that working i then tried to loop it so that it would do the same for all files in the folder until all files had been done, and not error out if there where no files etc.
Maybe im tired (well, i am) or not had enough coffee but i just cant get this to work, it should be simple - i know it is infact, but its making ME feel simple.i think i should have an integer count in there, but similar examples ive seen dont use one. Also when trying to open the path i get an error at runtime "the path is not of a legal form"

I have a ticketing application and I want to create a date based, sequential, ticket number.I'm leaning toward something based on Posix time as this generates a sufficiently large number and the likelihood of any two ticket numbers overlapping is slim to none (two people would have to just happen to hit the button at exactly the same time on two perfectly synchronized systems).Has anyone done anything like this or have any code snippets/ suggestions? It would be wonderful if i could setup a custom menu programatically as well. I have seen some documentation on Imapi 2.0 but i have not been able to find too much suppoert for it. I have also found a few SDK's out there but most are over $1000 which just isnt in the budget.
1) Is there a library included in windows 7 that will allow me to do this.

i am coding an application where I want to populate an array with the contents of a sequential file that is already populated as salary.txt in the debug folder. Basically, I want to copy the contents of that file to an array so that I may use a code to go with the intSubscript of the array. Right now it functions as just an array for this purpose, but I want to populate the array with the sequential file first. All attempts to do this, with stream writer etc and readline, I am just getting the first item in the file. I have tried to loop it and still only the first is accessable. Driving me batty, turning to the masses for guidence.[code]
