View 2 RepliesI have been working on an HTML editor, and I need to know how to make the "Preview" tab show a preview of the HTML code located in the TextBox in the "Code" tab.
View 37 RepliesI was wondering if anyone already done this. And off course How?I'm working on a project to get several departments incoorperating the same budgetting systematic. Yeah hell is pretty near so far.
What I need is a way to create a preview in excell for the template they are defining in an application. As the end user will enter the data in an Excel sheet... YES this IS mandatory in this phase.
So I want the department manager to drag items into a treeview defining a template and generate a excel workbook and show a sheet with the result of his definitions.
Question? how can I show an Excel sheet within a vb.net application?
We're using SQL Server Reporting Services embedded using the Report Viewer control on a Win32 VB.net page. Currently targeting .net 2.0, we can possibly move to 3.5 if it'll fix the issue.
When you view the report you can see the entire thing, however, when pressing print preview the last page of the report fails to be shown. The page number on the bottom of the report will say "Page 1 of 2" or Page "1 of N" but you can only actually see pages 1 through N-1.The same thing happens when you just try to print the report. But if I go to print preview, back to normal view, and print preview again I can see the entire report.
I have been working on a program (obviously) I have several textboxes and a webbrowser. I want this webbrowser to show a preview of what you have so far in these textboxes. Up to now I have:
For Each ctrl As Control In Me.Controls
If TypeOf (ctrl) Is TextBox Then
WebBrowser1.DocumentText = CType(ctrl, TextBox).Text + WebBrowser1.DocumentText
End If
Next
End Sub
When I debug it everything is ok until I press preview. I type hello in each of the boxes. By the way all textboxes are small and positioned close together. So I type H in one box E L L O etc and i press preview. And H only appears in the preview. I press preview again then H appears Once Again.
I'm trying to build a project where I have a set of products in a listbox. When you select an item in the listbox, a picturebox shows the preview of that certain product.I practically finished the entire project as well as the picture part; however, I realized that the way I set up the coding, I used image locations from my hard drive meaning that someone can't view them on another computer.This is a portion of my coding:
[highlight="Dim PicSelection As String
PicSelection = ListBox1.SelectedItem
Select Case PicSelection[code].....
I have a FileUpload control in my aspx page and I want to display the image selected before postback so that user confirms the image to upload.

View 1 RepliesI have an application which has multiple files .rtf I open it on a rich text box.
Here is my code for print preview
PrintPreviewDialog1.Document = PrintDocument1
PrintPreviewDialog1.ShowDialog()
I press the button for preview and it shows me the preview. But if I change the content of the rich text box with another file, the print preview shows me empty. How I can send it to a new preview?
I would like to prepare a preview window to zoom inside a picturebox. In my form, I have a picturebox (name picSource1) and inside the same picturebox, I have some other pictureboxes (like picsmallSource1). All of them make a detailed whole photo. My aim is to make a new form with a new picturebox (name it picDestination) so that when mouse comes over the source picSource1 (and of course the other small pictureboxes inside this), Form2 becomes visible and picDestination shows the zoomed part where the mouse cursor shows. So while the mouse moves over the image, the new picturebox shows in real time the zoomed version.
Public Class ImageEventArgs
Inherits EventArgs
Private _image As Image
This code works very fine but I should revise it to somehow "overlay" the picturebox1 with other small pictureboxes, isn't it?

View 4 RepliesI am trying to get a access picture attachment to show in an vb.net picture box. At start up, I add an attachment field to the database, and add pictures to the database in jpg form. I then connect the database to vb project using the general vb settings. The connection is successful, I then add a picture box control to the form along with changing the attachment field to a picture box setting at this point every thing should be good. However, when I go to run the program the picture box remains empty.
View 1 RepliesSometimes, I have a picturebox lets say 100x100. But the image it will display is actually 100x400. I don't want to increase the size of the picturebox itself. Instead, I would like to create a vertical scrollbar (or horizontal if needed). I could not find a scrollbar in the toolbox, so I guess I have to code it. But, how? And I still wonder if I didn't make a mistake and didn't see the scrollbar in the toolbox.
View 3 RepliesIn my form, there are many controls and the people who will use the final program are not very computer literate people. For this reason, I would like to use arrows which blink beside the control in order to show the order of controls to use (just like a visual guide). I also make the controls active-inactive in a proper order but a visual guide will also be musch of use...I guess I can do this by either using picture boxes beside each control or draw method (which I do not yet know how to use). But if I use a picturebox, how will I give the blinking (or fade in & out effect)? For blinking effect, should I use a timer or anything else?
View 3 RepliesI have a form that contain an big image and an small image.The small image will be showed on top of the big image. Both images are in .gif format and the small image background is transparent.I set the picturebox's backcolor for small image to transparent, but I only get the backcolor of the form in stead of the big image.Is there anyway to see the big image at the transparent area of small image?

View 4 RepliesMy two forms are: form 1: 2 picture boxes (#2 is hidden) form2: 1 button
My code for this button is:
Private Sub Button1_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Button1.Click
Form1.PictureBox2.Visible = True
End Sub
In my program I want to do the same thing, but I'm using MDI forms - for some reason it doesn't work like above. I tried the same as above as appropriate for the new project but it doesn't show the 2nd picture box.
I have done a lot of googling and tested a few snippets of code i can't seem to get this, all i want to do is show an image in my picturebox1 that is from the web instead of on my harddrive, i thought:

How do you make the image in a picturebox vanish when you change an option? I have tried a few different ways that i have seen but none have worked. I have it set so when i change an option in a listbox it will change the picture and data in other controls, however one option in the listbox has no data to fill in those controls and so gets left blank. However when i click on that option right now the images that were in the picturebox before get left behind until i click on another option that has a picture. So how do i remove the picture from the box?

I have a picture box. The user can click with in the picture box. Anywhere they click it will draw another Ellipse. The problem is the edges of the picture boxes cut the image of the newly drawn ellipse. Is there a way draw the new ellipse so the user can see the entire thing?
