Jul 28, 2009My application stands at the minute where the user can fill in a textbox, hit search and gets the results. The problem is that the user only get the exact name i.e. if he types in golf he only gets golf, what I need it to be able to do is when he types 'go' and hits search it shows all of the entries that contain 'go'.
My Current syntax is

Feb 23, 2010I want to show data in a grid. I tried DataGridView but i have some extra requirements which aren't supported:
1. Rows should be able to group together (like in a TreeView)
2. I can put icons in the cells
3. I can add color to the cells (like in a RichTextBox)
Does anyone know about a FREE (or a low cost) control which support those requirements? Maybe DataGridView does support those functions and i just don't know..?

VS 2008 - Property Grid - Click On Item Show Its Property
Mar 18, 2009I have a listbox with several list items added. I want that as user click on an item, I should be able to show its property. This should change for different items. For example (hypothetical) : Listbox has numbers 1 - 10. Now when I select 1 I should be able to set property - Name, Lastname, Colour, Age.
When I select 2 I should be able to set - Age, Hair Colour (clr shows), Weight, Date. When I select 3 then - City (combo box drop down), Country, Age only. This way value changes for diff items. One way is to put them in property grid and show them. Though this looks nice but adding/removing items in that is not easy. You need to have a class that refer that to prop grid. Do I have to code for each classes for all values in listbox or is there an easier way to manage items in property grid. If you think prop grid is not the right tool for such an activity then can you suggest something else.

Command Item Template For Grid Doesn't Seem To Work - ASP.NET | Dream.In.Code
Jul 28, 2009I have a page with multiple RadPageViews, some with RadGrids in them. They all need command item template in order for the user to edit and refresh the grid. On my first page view, the item template works perfectly, poping-up the edit form for the user to edit the data of the selected row. On my second page view, the command item template buttons don't seem to want to work (not even the refresh). If it were just the edit button then i would suppose there'd be a problem with my edit form, but not its that no buttons seems to work (not even refresh). The grid does display the information correctly too.
