Asp.net - Show A Grid Similar To A Calendar Showing On Columns The Day And On Row Months?

I have a request to show a grid similar to a calendar showing on columns the day and on row months.
Something like this

Is there a way to do this, considering that The Start day of the year must be the real day name, not a constant and this must be generated dynamically

I am writting software for a touch screen (windows CE) as well as a desktop pc (windows XP)I have the software working for both, but the problem I am having is the Calendar.I need a Calendar for the current month, as well as allowing the user to go back to other months.I was going to use the control in vb.net called 'MonthCalendar' but when I add it to the form and make the control bigger (as in font) it adds to months when viewed on XP but when I copy the exe to the touch screen it only shows the 1 month like its ment to.Is there a better Calendar control I can use or does anyone know how to make it so that it only shows 1 month in the 'MonthCalendar' control?I am using VB.net 2008

create a calendar program very similer to Outlook's Calender.But only on its own, i want it to be able to have multiple user access so several people can check eachothers calender obviously.But i have no clue where to start, doesnt have to be the exact same as outlook just have the same functionality.

I'm making a seat booking system in vb.net (WinForms) and I need the user to be able to select the seat they wish to use and for it to change colour (so they can tell that it selected).
I began to try using buttons, but 480 buttons seriously slowed down the load time for the form. I then tried a data grid view with buttons in the rows/columns, but couldnt make that work properly.
Would it be worth trying to use 480 picture boxes and change their background colour? Or would that just slow the form down the same way as 480 buttons?

I have students who will be enrolled into a course. The student grid view has many columns like client_no, student_name, date_of_birth, address, etc. There are over 100000 students so I will need to filter the student grid view to find the correct student to enroll in the course. Once they are found, the user selects them and somehow moves them to the enrolled grid view. If a student drops out then they would be removed from the enrolled grid view.This process needs to be easy to understand and use. Are there any examples available or other suggestions on how to do this?

I'm in the process of developing an application to keep track of employee's shifts. the top of the grid should display the days, the left side the employee name. The grid will display the type of shift (N for night, D for day) I just need some direction as to how to develop the calendar grid...I have a database with all the required information (I have a "Shifts" table, which contains the employee name, the date of shift, and the type of shift). Times are not relevant since employees will be either working a night or day shift (type of shift). I'm using VB9 for this project.

I have a custom class (Class1) with a bunch of properties. One of the properties of this class is another custom class (Class2) with its own properties.I have a property grid with the selected object set to Class 1. I can see Class 2 as a property, but i would like to expand Class 2 to show its properties in the same property grid.
Im basically trying to do the exact same thing as the Font Class on a form. If you look at the properties of a form in the designer, you can see the font property. You can then expand that to show the properties of the font class.

I'm trying to put a listview on a VS 2010, vb.net winform form. I
1. drug the listview from the toolbox to the form.
2. right cick and did an edit columns
3. added two columns with the names of (chLocationID, chLocation) and the text of LocationID and Location.
4. when i click ok, nothing shows up in the listview designer.
In the code behind i did a for loop to add some data.
For Each O In oS
Dim itm As New ListViewItem
itm.SubItems.Add(O.tblLocationID.ToString)
itm.SubItems.Add(O.Location)
itm.Tag = O
lvLocation.Items.Add(itm)
Next
when i step through the code.. it says that it adds the row.. a lvLocation.items.count give me a value of 1.. which is correct but nothing displays on the screen.

I would like to create a tabular view of my data in which i would like to show dates as column header and room no as rows header. And room reservation data in that tabular form. I would also like to make date zooming from year, half yearly, month, week to day. Denote the reserved room in some color along with name too.
To my requirement, i found windows live mail's calendar control abit matching without zooming functionality.

Now what i want is that when user select some option from the combobox then some of the cells only in the same row get filled automatically according to the selected option.
like if there are 4 fields in grid : emp_id , name , age , salary
and id column is of type combobox then on selecting the particular emp_id from the list , its coressponding name get displayed in the same row and then user can enter the other fields.similarlly when the emp_id get selected in the 2nd row of grid then 2nd row column "name" get filled.

In my datagrid view I set the header columns to speccific colors after the grid is filled:

This has worked fine, until I set the "Enable XP visual styles" on the project properties page. With this set, the colors dissapear from the header (although they still show up correctly in the grid). If I turn the flag off, the header colors are back to normal.

I want to show data in a grid. I tried DataGridView but i have some extra requirements which aren't supported:
1. Rows should be able to group together (like in a TreeView)
2. I can put icons in the cells
3. I can add color to the cells (like in a RichTextBox)
Does anyone know about a FREE (or a low cost) control which support those requirements? Maybe DataGridView does support those functions and i just don't know..?
