The remarked area works fine when I'm accessing a specific table. I've successfully inserted the products_model field into the combobox too. The datagridview does show the table names in the db using the SHOW TABLES sql statment, but I'm not understanding how to get this info into the combobox instead.

Jul 13, 2011I have a folder with a bunch of different files in it, and I want to display each file name on a line in a single textbox (or block, i don't care) so that the user knows what files are available to be read from. The name and number of files within the folder will change frequently, so making a .txt file with all of the file names wouldn't be an acceptable solution.

Apr 12, 2012am trying this program for school (spent hours upon hours upon hours working on this) and I just have not gotten it to work. This program is supposed to take a name and birthdate and make sure that the birthdate ranges are correct. For example the "month" field should have an input between 1 and 12, the date field should have an input between 1 and 31, and the year field should be between 1850 and 2012.

Show Whitespace In A Textbox / Richtextbox?
Jun 27, 2011There is an option in Visual Studio (since as far back as I can remember) that allows you to see "Whitespace" in your code. This is often seen in file differential viewers as well.
I'm wondering if anyone knows how this can be accomplished in VB.net (or any other way) so that i could use a similar type of display option in my software.
I have not yet tried to do this but my only first thoughts would be to override the "paint" of the textbox to actually add the little tab "arrows" and space "dots" manually via GDI, or create a texbox control from scratch. Seems to me there could be an easier way to do this.

Sep 5, 2011I am doing work for a client who has lost the source code for one of their VB.Net WinForms applications. The assembly they have is not obfuscated at all. I am trying to recover as much of the source as I can as C# source and have tried several tools for decompiling assemblies, including Reflector, ILSpy and JustDecompile (all the latest versions), but they all produce code with a huge number of errors in them. Because of the large number of errors in the generated code, I am going to ask about the specific errors (in different questions), get more directed answers and in this way try shed some light on why all the tools are having difficulty decompiling this assembly. This question pertains to the fact that the code generated by all these tools always have a large number of invalid member variables (fields) such as the following:
