Sql Server - Make An Unordered Lists Of Reverse Chronological Dates In Asp.net 2.0 With Vb

I need to create an unordered list of dates for a news items archive... It should look like this
2011
Dec
Nov
[Code].....
I can carry on with this adding in the for loops for months nested under each year however it doesn't seem very practical and will generate links for months even if there are no news item entries...
Is there a way I can build this tree automatically and only include the years/months that have news entries. I can pull a list of SQL Server timestamps from the DB for all the news items and then would like to populate the list based on that...
I have herd that a new type (or old type) of connection when the server connects to the client. Is it really possible to do such a thing with mulit-Servers trying to connect to one client.How would I make one like that O.o.
I'm trying to make my timer go in reverse. I had it earlier, then I tried to make it include milliseconds now it won't work at all. I swear I had this same thing before for seconds, now it won't work. What am I missing?

ok, I'm basically trying to make mulitple drop down lists on my form. When the page loads, I can get my main dropdown list, called makelist, to fill in with the items that I want from a txt file.
What I'm trying to do is whenever the selectedindex is changed in makelist, it has to load a different dropdown list, called modellist with items from a different txt file.
How do I make the default modelbinding handle Lists?
Let's say I have a ShoppingCart class, which has a ShoppingCartItem List:

However, when I submit the page, no values are picked up, not even the CouponCode field. The model object is empty. What gives?
Ultimately, my goal is to add/remove items clientside via javascript and then have the modelbinder pick up the changes automatically when the page is submitted.
Update: I was just missing the Property keyword from my model properties declarations. It's too late, and I got to get some sleep. :)

Ours is a transportation company. We do services/transportation/logistics for various companies.I am working on Scheduling a work order process for those companies who are registered with us.While during the process of registration, a company will specify the week number to execute a job during the contract period.So this will be a routine service which we need to perform for every number of weeks specified For Example: if any company specifies the week number as : 2. that means for every 2 weeks we need to do the service for that company during the contract period.

I populate the array on Form1_Load.When I click the button btnReversingAnArray the first time all are sorted in reverse except for Wendy and it is the last item shown. ie..(The book I am even shows an image of the list Box and their example also shows Wendy as the last item)

I have a server which has around 300+ users on it. Though the problem is that its coded in VB6, and if somebody has a bad ping, everybody has a bad ping. I have an application in which i have a database .mdf file in directory which i use a connection string to give a path of to access it, which means without installing sql server i can access database. Connection string below to access this database(.mdf) which placed in the directory.

Now the question is that if i access this .mdf file without installing sql server, i also want to access to this .mdf file on other computer(client) after creating DSN or any other connectivity tool.
Let me know you that when i install sql server 2000 or 2005 i create SA user name and password which i use to create DSN on client computer and give SA username and password in the connection string that successfully works and client get access to sql server, connection string is below.
