In this mode the application start minimized and an little icon appear in the notification icon area. With this icon you can maximize the app or exit it.If you exit the app and start it again using the Menu (Start/programs etc) than the application start in minimized mode (and in this case I would like to have it in normal mode) because the setting autostart is still true.Is there a way you can detect when the application start when windows startup using the above registry or when people click on an icon in the programs menu (or desktop)?

Apr 27, 2009I created an ActiveX Control in ATL, which I can succesfully use in for instance Internet Explorer. When I want to put that object in a VB.NET (2003) app, I get some problems.
First I 'Import' the control, using Visual Studio, so there are COM Interop DLLs created. Then I insert the control in the toolbox and drag/drop on a form. The control is succesfully created.
However, when I run the VBApp, it crashes. The debugger tells me that it gets a 'Class Not Registered' error.
Same when I create a pushbutton and create the object manually:

Mar 6, 2009I creating a dice game with VB 2008 and am having some problems with control features.When the game starts I'd like the controls to be disable until the user formally selects a NewGameButton.Also, during the game the user gets 3 chances to roll the dice before they select a check box for the type of score they want. They cans select a score at any time during the 3 rolls. I disable the selected score with an AcceptScoreButton, but I can't figure out how to limit there score selection to 1 checkbox per roll session. VS 2010 Creating A Custom User Control, Don't Know Where To Start?

It would have the properties:
StarCount (number of stars)
StarValue (number of stars highlighted)
I want to draw the stars using GDI+, have them highlight on mouse over, and change the StarValue when clicked.I have an idea on how to do this from experience with working with forms, but I'm having some difficulties with the Control development part. I couldn't find any tutorials which didn't inherit a control (such as a checkbox or button), and I have no idea how to make my control editable in the designer.
I think what I need to do is create StarCount as a property like this:

I also want to execute my drawing code at design time, so I can see the stars while laying out a form. as a side note to that, I don't know how to change the size of the control at run or design time, nor how to disable the user from changing it at design time.as a side note - I know that there are a few star rate controls already floating around the internet, but I do not like the quality of them (or at least the one's I've seen), they felt very windows 98. Sep 20, 2010Is there a (simple) way to connect a textbox, label etc. to a property in a class?I have a project with a complex series of dialogs to enter data into a list of a costum class describing an experiment with many parameters that are stored as properties (both simple variables such as strings and integers, but also more complex ones).I need both to be able to update the list of my experiment class, but also to go the other way to populate the dialogs from the class.It can of course be done outside the class and the dialogs in separate subroutines. This however, quicly becomes unmanagable and hard to maintain as the dialogs and experiment class is expanded with new elements.If there was a simple way to connect say a textbox or label in a dialog with the appropriate property holding the information it would make it much easier.

Update: Running them without cancelling takes with Task.Start 9 sec and Thread.Start 3 sec accordingly.

I imagine I'll need to use a loop... but I can't figure out exactly how yet.I need to send anywhere from 1 - an infinite number of files names to this application. Each file has to be sent one after the other. The command runs fine from a DOS window, but can't be found when I use it this way. I also tried using the SHELL command just to test and I get the same results. No idea why it can't be found, as like I said it executes from the command prompt just fine.
