In my Windows Form I have a ComboBox that is filled by a Stored Procedure with a list of names. I have the Combobox set for AutoComplete to "Suggest" and From "ListItems". When a user starts to type in and the AutoComplete does not find any matches in the listitems the user can tab out of the ComboBox and leave what they typed in the combobox even though it is not one of the Valid Items. Is there a way to check the Comboxbox to make sure of of the selected Items has been selected?
As part of the application I'm writing in Visual Basic, I have written code to display records in text boxes and cycle through each of them one record at a time. This is the form I'm having problems with. As you can see I've created a tab interface which is working. There are five text boxes on it which are binded to the Staff table in the database. When the tab is changed, the binding is changed to a new field. However, unfortunately, when a new record is selected, the data bindings do not update, and instead, the first record is always being used. am using sql 2005 and vb 2008.i need to compare dates and select matching records betweem a selected date range.say records between 11/13/2010 and 11/20/2010.e.thing is working ok except when it comes to selecting dates between 11/1/2010 and 11/9/2010.this is happening because when am retrieving the dates from database,its being retrieved in the format 11/01/2010 instead of 11/1/2010 and so it reports no records found,and knowing the limits of sql 2005 this is the only way i can retrieve the date.
