I'm making a hangman game right now, and the way it works is: It takes ten words from a text file and puts them in an array.It's supposed to take one of those words randomly and change all the letters to asterisks and display it in a text box for the user to start playing.I'm currently having trouble with converting the whole word into the right amount of asterisks to display.As you can see, I've already started trying something with a for next loop to go through the word and replace each letter with asterisks.But I'm not sure of the exact 'wording' of it.

Presently what it does is it searches and if a record is found it displays at the tooltip "Record Found" if not it says "Record Not found". However, sometimes you have 2 or more records. I have made an app that the user has to type a number, and i want the process for the app to do this how evermany times the user wishes it to do.
for example, the app is ment to create a line in a text document, so they write in textbox1 what they want written on the line, and then in textbox2, tey say how many lines they want to create.
So,

TextBox2.Text = "782"
It will create 782 lines of BLAA. not just one...

I have tried using split , but the problem with this is that it only splits up characters with one space between them, and there could be multiple spaces between characters so it ends up storing blank spaces it a string array.[code]

so if i say want to cruise 29 miles at 12 knts it gives me an awnser of 2 hours 24.6 mins instead of 2 hours 25. Although i do realise that 2 hrs 24.6 is technicaly right i was wondering if anyone here could help me with getting it into the correct format?
im trying to make a fast food program on which the user will input the amount that he has, then he will check on what he wants, by using check boxes. There are 7 different check boxes with 7 different amounts of money. I have the program somewhat finished (thanks for the people that helped me before) but theres still a couple of things that I still need to get finished but I dont know how to.I need to be able to get how much money the user has (this will be entered threw a text box, I think I accidentally messed this part up, because I cant get it to work right, (theres alreasy a permit amount of money in there and it needs to be what the user enters instead of the permit, 5.59, one) and this will be the maximum amount he can spend, then the user will check on the food he wants (and the program will add the sales tax also) then it will produce an answer saying if you have enough money or if you dont. But what im confused on is how do I get the users amount of money and make it the maximum mount he can spend and make sure it doesnt go over the amount that he has checked.[code]

I then want to put some kind of a table or grid looking thing on the right side of the form that will display their choices so that everyone in the shop can look at it see that "John is on bay 5 until 3:00pm". At the end of the day I want all of the combobox choices to save to a file..I dont really need the table or the grid thing to save..just the choices.
