Unable To Scroll Custom Content In WebControl
Jul 2, 2009This is really annoying. I am implementing Google Maps in Windows Forms application via the WebBrowser control. The map and the directions are too large for the Window and I have the ScrollBarsEnabled = True but, the scroll bars never show up. The only way to get to the content that is 'off-screen' is by clicking and dragging the mouse downward. I have looked for other properties but, none seem to be appropriate.
I would be glad to provide code snippit if needed.

Apr 16, 2010I have a gridview in asp.net using vb 2005. on " Protected Overrides Sub Render"some of the data in the columns gets modified. when i do a view source.. and look at a column1's values it says 0010. in the render i am taking a value of ab0010 and turning it into the 0010 that is seen in the view source.. later on, there is a button_click event that goes through each line of the gridview and grabs some values. Here I'm doing a CType(gvr.FindControl("column1"), Label).Text the value is coming back as ab0010. so the question is.. the view source shows something different than what is in the viewstate?

Jun 10, 2010I'm looking at a website using Internet Explorer and Firefox. In each browser I select view source and see the website's URL in the links. These links were concatenated together using HttpContext.Current.Request.Url.Host in the code behind. However, when I use netcat or Burp Suite v1.3.03, looking at the same links I see the servername instead of the website's URL.
My question is - Why does view source in the browser display different links in the page source than what netcat or Burp Suite outputs? Is the browser rewriting stuff? My thought to correct is to have a web.config setting which is used to create the links. Next question - Does anyone know of a configuration change to make to IIS to return the URL instead of the server name or a .NET function that I should be calling instead to get the URL that the website is running as.

May 24, 2011I am trying to add datagridview control in my custom control but i failed.I started creating new project[windows custom control library], added datagridview control on it and also added a property naming "DGVMain" which refers to datagridview control.I compiled it.
While testing i find its properties like visible and other working but when i click on columns property it doesn't work. i.e i cannot add/edit columns into the datagridview of my custom control.
Did i miss any steps or do i need to add some more actions?

I am trying to do the datagridview1.rows.add("info here"), however i receive an error i cannot do this programmatically. I DO know the code to post to MySQL via the "insert into" la la la.However, I was curious if I can do this via the datagridview a bit..easier/simpler, such as a "datagridview1.rows.add(stuff)" sorta thing.
2. I am attempting to make a custom control, and as with ANY control, they have their.. settings. Example, a textbox, or label, has so you can set the Text. and color, etc.Others, have it (such as datagridview) have the little icon on the control itself, where you click it, and it opens a small window with settings.

Jan 1, 2012I'm looking for a way to create the treeview structure in memory with a classes, so I can loop through them, like with a collection and easily load the data into a treeview, listview, datagridview or simply work with the data in the background.
There's a treenode class that I could use, but I've noticed that when I have a lot of data in the nodes, it has a lot overhead when for example serializing, because it also saves the checked state, imageindex of the nodes and things like that, which I never need. The saved file is about 10 times bigger than the actual data, which is not acceptable.
Import Project Namespace Into A View In Order To Use The Custom?
Jun 20, 2012I am trying to create a custom LabelFor helper to apply by default instead of the standard LabelFor helper include in System.Web.Mvc.Html. I want my LabelFor to take model properties that are PascalCase and make a label that appears as multiple words. For example the property FirstName would appear as "First Name".
I found this post that shows how to make a custom LabelFor helper that allows the addition of html attributes. I recreated this helper in VB.Net and modified it to do what I want, but I am not able to get it to work.

The sample includes this Module in Namespace System.Web.Mvc.Html but when I add the namespace declaration to this module everything in the rest of the project goes haywire. For example, each of my models has a Primary Key property that is a Guid datatype and as soon as I add the namespace above to the module, I get several errors stating that System.Guid is not defined among other similar errors.
I've tried to import my project namespace into a view in order to use the custom helper, but then I get an error that says Overload resolution failed because no 'LabelFor' is most specific for these arguments.I am trying to avoid having to specify a DisplayName for every PascalCase property I have in many models.
