I have a vb.net application successfully processing the text in TIF files, but it is ignoring the checkboxes. Is there anyway to use MODI to process anything within the file that is not text? Such as a mark that a person has made with a pen inside a checkbox? I think I would need to be able to evaluate where the pixels are. This is for a zero budget personal project.

I am using VB.NET 2005 and my problem is to sort binded DataGridView using numeric sorting (but for strings). As i understand problem is the same as in:http:[url].......or in http:[url].......My DataGridView.Datasource = DataTable. I want DataGridView to be able sorting numericaly when Column headers are clicked. This common function must be very easy, but unfortunately it is not :(. How can i get write sorting? I don't find answer in internet.Link1 is without explanable and i think it is for unbinded DataGridView and link2 is for for C+ or C#.

View 3 RepliesI am writing a calculator app in VB Express 2008. I'm trying to get the app to accept numeric and operator input while ignoring all the alpha input. In other words taking input from the numeric keypad and the top of the keyboard and ignoring all the letters.

Well, it's really my first time to try Visual Basic .NET, then I realized that not all my previous experience with VB6 will work smoothly in VB.NET. I am creating a simple program that will enter a name in the TextBox and will greet them by using the MessageBox class. But I wonder, since the TextBox that I'll be using is for inputting a name, I want to "trap" all numeric keys in my keyboard, I just don't know how to do it. This is fair easy in VB6, using the Text1_KeyPress(KeyAscii As Integer) subroutine.

I am using a masked text box to allow users to enter a serial number. The problem is that this serial number has to be communicated over the phone and people seem to be having trouble differentiating between O and 0 and I and 1.
I thought that a good solution to this might be some way of highlighting which characters in the textbox were numeric characters (as opposed to alphabetic characters). Obviously there is no way to do this without using a richtextbox and then I lose the masking ability. Highlight numeric characters in a maskedtextbox?

Right now it doesn't look like it does anything. I have tried changing my index's on my subitems to 1 and 3 instead of 0 and 2 but i figured because they are subitems that they need to be subitem index 0 and subitem index 2 since there is one item and three subitems to that one item.

View 2 RepliesI've got a listview with a bunch of items which all use checkboxes. Each time an item is checked or unchecked I want to save the selection. Whilst saving/loading the selection is not an issue, I can't seem to find an event which triggers AFTER the checked item has been changed. For example, the ItemChecked event will fire when an item has been checked or unchecked but the event will give it's checked status BEFORE it was changed. I've had to resort to saving the list when it loses focus but this isn't ideal.
View 11 RepliesI've got this code which basically loops through a set of folders and subfolders and finds specific file types. And then lists these in a listview. Now, it's intended to list exe and msi files. And I've made it so that these icons can be doubleclicked after they have been listed. I do this by adding the path to the file in it's tag property.
But, my superiors want a checkbox next to each item. So that they can check each item they want installed. And then have a button which runs the path in each tag property one at a time. It's basically the part where I fill the listview with the checkbox, filename of the exe or msi file, tag and the icon that I'm wondering about.

I have a ListView with the columns 'Name', 'Expected', 'Total', and I want to add another column saying 'Recount' at the end. The 'Recount' column will ideally have a checkbox only if the 'Expected' value is larger than the 'Total' value.
So far I have got the ListView with columns and can add a check box on the left hand side, but that check box is not under a column heading (though I can probably put another column with no values in there to work around that) and it is on all of the records.
I am using the winform datarepeater control from vb.net power pack. All of the items on the repeater are readonly except for a checkbox column.I want to iterate over the items and find out which checkboxes are checked. I can't find a collection of datarepeateritems on the control and help is scarce.
