It does not need to differentiate between different IP addresses. And, it doesn't even need to differentiate between things which are and are not SSL packets. Apr 5, 2009So I am hacking together an app which listens to traffic using SharpPcap library, it reconstructs the packets from sessions using the code from TpcRcon.
Listening and reconstructing part work on their own . What I want is on each packet arrival main window gets an event so it can display the packet , and when session is reconstructed display a complete packet (I am interested in HTTP ones) . -That is where it breaks with weird symptoms: for example right now it does not stop on invoking stop listening method - the sharppcap library function hangs there forever waiting on this line of code : m_pcapThreadEvent.WaitOne();//wait for the 'stopped' signal from thread
I also had it not working and crashing in sharppcap function because I had omitted one parameter in form delegate- which makes no sense, because form delegate does not deal with packet capture at all and only reacts on "New Packet" event from my "Listener" class (which is only there to notify main form)
My app starts as module main instancing class "Listener". MainForm has it
registered as friend with event and handles even "New Packet"

I found some examples that show tracking a certain color, but that wont work because the qr codes have different colors. some are red, blue, purple, black, and green. I am using the touchless sdk to capture the video. How would I go about tracking the person's hand holding a 1"x1" cube? I am trying to reduce the "background noise" that the scanner has to try to read through.

May 17, 2011I need to write a program that will capture a twain scan, then let the user input a file name and append a date and time stamp to the file. Afterwards, it should upload the file to a ftp share on our network. As a bonus, I would like it to log the transaction to a SQL server so we can verify the file was uploaded. The catch is, I have almost no programming experience. I have written a small program here and there, but never something that I had to call an outside source for besides SQL. We do have an in-house VB programmer, but he is to busy to do something like this. I wanted to give it a try myself before hiring someone else to do it since it sounds like such a simple program. I know how to layout the basic forms and I can probably figure out how to log the transaction, but I am looking for examples on twain scans and saving to ftp.

My end objective is to save this RFID tagID into a database and assigned to a person for a personnel management system.I had to use button3 to add the value of the variable 'msg' into textbox1 because I was getting the following error "Cross-thread operation not valid: Control 'TextBox1' accessed from a thread other than the thread it was created on". It is a temporary workaround.When I do press button3, I get the incomplete hex number, instead of "4C00A2C82A0C", I get "A2C82A0C", and sometimes I get random digits like 1,A,C etc etc.

Reading Packets From UDP / IP
May 13, 2009I am writing a program that talks back and forth with an external machine through UDP/IP. I have figured out how to talk to the machine, bu now I need to know how to read the machine's response. I am using the following code:
Dim receiveBytes As [Byte]() = udpClient.Receive(RemoteIpEndPoint)
Dim returnData As String = Encoding.ASCII.GetString(receiveBytes)
TextBox1.Text = returnData
When I break the code down and read receiveBytes, it comes through exactly the way I want it. It is falling apart when it gets encoded and put into a textbox. It just comes out as a "?".
Receiving UDP Packets From Different Ip's?
Jun 19, 2009I am trying to receive about 900 packets coming from around 900 different ip's. But for some reason I can't seem to capture them all. The same code in C++ seems to work fine, but when I try to do it and run it through the parser it seems that I only get about 150 - 300 of these packets each time I ask for them.

TCP: Differentiate Between Packets?
Oct 3, 2010Does anyone know of a good example of TCP, in C# or VB.NET?
The problem I have with the majority i've found is that they send data once, receive data once, and end. This isn't a workable example. Even MSDN's example does this.
My main question:
Every example reads incoming data into a buffer (byte array), usually 512 bytes. If two packets are received in a row, how do I know where one packet's data ends and another's begins? What if a single packet has more than 512 bytes of data?
All TCP examples i've found work in a rather procedural way.
I'd like to have something as simple as this:

When one of the client sends 100 packets to the server, the server receives only a few of them.Here's the client code in PasteBin. It shows how the client connects to the server and then sends 100 messages in a For loop to the server.And here's how the server handles the connection.
