Use To Disable 'Script Error Message' From Appearing In WebBrowser Control
Aug 9, 2007
I made a web browser using the Visual Basic Language. I am having a problem with the WebBrowser Control. If I go to a website that runs scripts (i.e.; sports.yahoo.com), a message comes up:"An error has occured on this script page", Do you want to continue running Scripts on this page "yes, no". If you click yes or no, the same message appears for 8 more times. Is there anycode I can use to disable the "Script Error Message" from appearing in the WebBrowser Control.
I have been googling for hours and trying to figure this out, and I just can't.I have 1 webbrowser control on a form, webbrowser1. Once I load a page, say google.com, if I use webbrowser1.refresh() or webbrowser1.navigate("google.com"), it's not reloading the page, it has it cached so it's just reloading the cache. This is terribly apparent especially on pages like forums or craigslist.
I want to speed up loading of pages, as i dont need my webbrowser control visible, nor in direct user i/o use, so i thought i'd disable image loading, and/or css only for that application. Obviously i came here coz i dont know how would i do it btw. does anyone know how to disable right click on webbrowser control?
I'm using the WebBrowser control to automate some things in the background of my application but I'm getting this popup. How can I disable these popups in the webbrowser?
How do you disable the Security Alert?I'm using the WebBrowser Control to open office documents and everytime I navigate to the files location and when use the right mouse button or try to open a document
I get a Security Alert Form that ask, You should only run files that come from websites that you trust.

Is it possible to disable image loading on the webBrowser control? - So that pages load faster. I just want the HTML of the page to work with in my code - I don't wish for the page to be displayed. And I know that using httpwebrequest or webclient would normally be the best option for this kind of thing but I need to browse secure https pages and I don't know if that's possible with anything other than the webBrowser control.
I have been googled for couple of hours but couldn't find a solution

I'm using the webbrowser control in designnmode in VS2008 (vb.net). When I insert new text into the control (from a database) I am promoted if I want to save the changes. How do I suppress this message? In older versions of VS there was a function called 'webbrowser1.silent = True' but that dosent work anymore. Setting scriptErrosSupressed dosent do the trick.
1. Is there any way to disable refreshing in such a way that the button can still be used for stuff like flash on the page still? All my methods have blocked using the button in the flash which is loaded on the page....
2. Is there any way to get the new scrollbars of IE10 or metro style scrollbar or what not into the webbrowser like the desktop version of IE10 does in Windows 8 Consumer Preview?
3. Is there any way to allow the close window called from javascript to be detected & actually close the window in my program?
4. Is there any way to make it so when new window is called it will open a new window with my application in a new instance? stopping me now is it seems to want to open in the same window if I use the event NewWindow to cancel the event from happening but it gets script errors....is there any way to retrieve the link to what it needs to open so I can handle this properly? Or at least tell it what else to use? besides the default browser....I want it to open inside my own program & not IE.
I am trying to use my web browser control to get retrieve date from a specific page, including all sub-page content. Problem is some of the sub-pages are on a separate domain and thus I am getting a permission deigned error when i try to access the frame [through document.windows.frames(i).document].Is there any work around to do this, even if I have to manually change security settings? I tried turning all my settings in IE to allow and still same error. I will only be running the app locally and no one will be browsing on IE so I can literally change anything needed to get this to work (even install older version of IE which may allow it but can still handle JS processing).
Note the reason I am using web browser is a great majority of data I will be accessing is JS generated, so I need to access the DOM after JS processed / generated the HTML. Because of this, simply using SOCKETS to get the HTML is really not an option. Even if I had the HTML, I still need some type of engine to process all of the DOM elements based off javascript.
Tried to look for a solution for this problem everywhere and can't seem to find it?I have found solutions related to sub-classing the document, but this method results in a Null Exception as there is no document.
Private Sub Form1_Load(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles MyBase.Load
AddHandler Me.WebBrowser1.Document.ContextMenuShowing, AddressOf WebContextMenuShowing WebBrowser1.ContextMenu.Dispose() WebBrowser1.ContextMenu.Show(WebBrowser1, pas) End Sub
This is something probably very simple for you all by the looks of these other thread but I can't figure it outThis is a hotel reservation order form.IsFormComplete function checks to make sure the form is complete, if true it calls GetOrderList which... well you get it.The problem is this:I have checked functionality at random and everythn there is an error, message box displays what is wrong... except one thing. When you complete everything but choose cash as the payment method and click place order, the message box pops up with the GetErrorList caption "Please Complete the following:" BUT there is no error reported after. I'm losts, I know, it's probably terribly written to begin with but I'm all of a week in to the class so I will get there.

I dragged and dropped a label control on my web form. But then whe I go to my VB .net code behind file, if I try and set a property on that label control, I am getting a "Declaration Expected" error message for the label I created.Yet if I do try and explicitly declare my label control, the compiler tells me that the label control is already declared.[code]
I am using a webBrowser control in vs 2008 to be used as a wiziwig editor to edit newsletters, everything works find but when I specify designmode = "On" -Me.webDESIGN.Document.DomDocument.designMode = "On" And try to load the webBrowser control with another newsletter, it comes up with this annoying message "This page has been modified Do you want to save changes". I need to somehow supress this message and don'twant to do anything, I' have already saved the page at this time. I tried the solution her
I'm running a webbrowser control with a custom user agent. When I try to load google with it, there are a number of 'script errors' in the website, which I've hidden by setting 'Scripterrorssupressed' to true. Now however there is still an 'object error' which pops up when i try to load google.Every other website that I've tried loads fine, and when I click 'ok' google runs fine. I'm quite sure its something to do with google 'location services' trying to locate my browser, because it thinks its a cellphone (due to the custom user agent).I've been trying DESPERATELY to fix these errors for DAYS! Is there any way I can just totally hide any popups - hence hiding this? Just any way to hide or stop the errors!
Getting the html source from my webbrowser control. I'm trying to get the source in the DocumentCompleted event of the webbrowser. The code i'm using is this[code]...
I am developing an Outlook 2007 VSTO application that works with a commercial website.Almost all of the app's interactions with the website are done using HttpRequest objects. One user scenario does require the app to open a browser to a specific page on the site, and that page requires a Post string to provide the results of a form submit.I am using the version of the WebBrowser control that ships with VS 2008, and specifically VB.Net.My code successfully goes to the first page, after which it navigates to the actual target page (once the first page is loaded). That works, too, but if I click on the desired link on the target page, a JavaScript error pops up, stating "'j.parentNode' is not an object", with a Code of 0.I do not have access t the commerical site's internals. The page and links in question, when accessed via IE or Firefox, work correctly without the JavaScript error. The page containing the link is using Flex.Is this a problem with the nWebBrowser control?
I am navigating to a web page with my webbrowser control

and this works on most pages. Now I'm going to a page that I guess there are errors in the page and I get a box asking me if I want to debut in IE's built in script debugger or something to that effect. Is there any way to have the system ignore this message and continue to load the page as normal
I have DataGridView display Customers Details. The DataSource are from DataSet. After the user have created a new customer record and updated the SQL SERVER Table, Instread of refreshing the whole DataGridView I am trying to add new rows with data from the TEXTBOX into the DataGridView and it generated this error message: Rows cannot be programmatically added to DataGridView's row collection when the control is data-bound This is the coding which the error was generated from:
Private Sub FRefreshDataGridViewRow() 'use strmode to determine New or Edit existing record Dim strCell1 As String = CType(Me.txtCustId.Text, String) Dim strCell2 As String = CType(Me.txtCompName.Text, String)
If I use IE I can visit the website I want and click the 'Next' button and life is good. If I open that same website using the webBrowser control and click the 'Next button I get a javascript error message.I'm not doing anything in the code to manipulate the website. My goal, eventually, is to have some level of automation; but at this point, I get the javascript error and a pop-up and it screws everything else.
