I have a problem here. In my window form there is a datagridview. Inside the gridview there are rows with data. Some rows background color is yellow, and some is white. I'm wondering whether there is any solution to sort the datagridview by rows background color so that yellow color rows is showing first.

I am pulling back some data from a database using ADO.NET, putting into a datatable, and then setting the datagridview datasource to the datatable. I then want to add a checkbox column as the second column. So far I have this code that seems to work:

This code 'works' and I get MyDataGridView to show the data with the checkbox column in the correct position in the table.
However, for some reason, I cannot check any of the check boxes in the DataGridView? I have tried lots of things (e.g.altering the readonly state of the column) but cannot get it to work.
I have create a project with one main form window and also i have to use a number of other forms as well. now i want to open these other forms inside the main window and not outside. I'm using Visual Studio .NET 2010 as developing environment.

I have a big datagrid view, with datasource set to datatable with 15 columns, and about 350 rows.
When I change the size of the window with the datagridview it isn`t resizing smoothly.
How could I make the resizing more smoothly?
I am using a Thread object to perform a function. This function performs a task and displays its progress in the gridview (like adding rows changing text etc )
The reason I am using a thread for this function is that there is a cancel button on the form. While the task is in progress, user can click on cancel to abort it.

The function works fine and thread is completed. But calling any method of datagridview after thread is completed ( outside the worker thread ) generates an error- "Error creating window handle".
That's probably because i am not using the invoke method of datagridview for calling its methods or readingwriting properties Do i have to create separate delegates for all the methods properties used in the function ( worker thread)
I have now got a DataGridView on a form with a toolstrip which automatically created for me when I dragged the DataGridView from the DataSources on the Solution explorer window. I now would like to know how can I have a pop out window saying " Are you sure you would like to delete xxx?" with a OK button and Cancel button.

When I selected a record in datagridview and hit delete, it always deleted the first row in the datagridview then if I tried to delete any of the row again, it would not let me. I would like the selected row to be deleted,how I can do that?

I have a DataGridView that shows the row error symbol in the RowHeader if the update to the database is unsuccessful for that row. Currently, if you hover the mouse over the error icon it will show a default tool tip to display the error text.I would like the user to left-click the RowHeader and a small popup window will show the error text. Then when the user clicks somewhere other than the popup window it will disappear just like a context menu. do I need to build a form with no borders that has a large textbox in it, then setup an event so when the form loses focus it closes? Or does a context menu strip have the ability to support a large textbox? Or do I use a splash screen?

Once I hit a save bottom on the second form how can I automatically update the database, refresh the grid on the initial window but remain on the same row on form1 that I double clicked on in the first place. Currently I am re-loading the datagrid on the initial form with all the data once I close the second window down.

In vb6, we have a windows (kind of layout of the screen), that allows us to manually position a form, by simply moving it with the mouse to the desired position.Don't we have same feature in .net ? am not finding where I can show this Window in visual studio 2008

If I use the SendKeys.Send method, it would send it to whatever window is opened. Is there a way to only work with the form? Very quick random example: Let's say I have 5 textBoxs and I click the 'Tab' button 5 times. What would happen ?
It would change the focus from one textbox to another right? Can I make this happen automatically ... like make it happen in the background and only to the form itself. I've got a question about attachment field (as OLE object/attachment) in Access Database and Visual Basic 2010. I would like to know, is there a possibility to use attachment field in the same way, in VB like in Access Database? What I want to do, is to make an application (connected to Access Database) for users from my company, that will allow them to open "Registration Form" and fill all required fields, and also add PowerPoint Presentation as attachment.
What is most important, I would like to have an access to this presentation.
Project Path:
Employee opens Application/Window Form --> Fill all required fields + attachment field --> I have access to the presentation from Access Database/or another Window Form (I can Open/Edit/Change the presentation)
So, what I would like to have - Window Form with attachment as icon, but after upload (by employee/other person) it has to be in the database.
