Printing A Serialized Barcode Label To A Zebra Printer?
Jun 15, 2011trying to create a WPF application that will allow users to print a barcode label written in ZPL that is saved to a text file on the C: drive. I am able to print the barcode with the WPF Application except it prints the same serial # without incrementing to the next one. I would like have the application:Open the test.txt file and read the last serial # that was printed. Print the next serial #. Write the last serial # it printed to the file for the next it is printed so that if I printed 1,2,3 this time, the next time it would print 4,5,6. Below is my code for the test.txt file and my VB.net code.

The printing process doesn't look pretty, but I was unable to get it to print with PrintDocument.Print() and I could by using a Process. I am guessing the issue is with intSN declaration not appending the serial # back to the test.txt file, instead, it adds
the barcode back to the file.

I have created a barcode label and stored as barcode.lbl This barcode.lbl has two fields:
1. name = &Barcode& {variable barcode field EAN field 12}
2. name = &text1& {variable text field length character field (10)}
I want to link textbox1.text to &Barcode& and link textbox2.text to &text1& Then just want the label printed on Zebra GX420t.

Serial Port Barcode Scanner Delegate Sub Firing Twice Per Barcode Scan?

Grier's Enhanced Serial Port dll to read input from a serial port barcode scanner I notice that the datareceived event fires only once per barcode scan, but the delegate sub fires twice per barcode scan. Once for 1st half of Barcode , 2nd for 2nd part of barcode This makes it hard to capture the full barcode so it can be passed to routines in my vb.net 2008 windows application In Richard's example 'Test Enhanced Port' program he sends it to a textbox using .selectedtext and it works fine Richards Delegate code ......................

May 6, 2011I now need to have a drop down menu with different languages in it.the user selects a Language from the drop down menu the text of all the relevant objects changes from like a Button with pause on it in English changes to a button with 'Pausar' on in Spanish.
I have found some partial topics but none on this website so if any of you have advice. I have looked about on google but nothings come up with what I am after.
Changing Multi-langauge On Form?
Feb 14, 2009I cannot get my application to display in English, it always displays in French I have an application that uses 2 languages. The default language is en-GB and the second language is French For setting the text of the buttons and labels. I have set the localized property to true and changing the language to fr-FR on the form. So setting the default languages controls by choosing the default the language property, and then switching to French language to set the French controls. So I have the following files:

And for message boxes and other strings I have added these 2 resource files
Code:formMain.Strings.resxformMain.Strings.fr-FR.resx
So if I want to switch to different languages I have changed the cultureInfo as follows:

I also an address book form that is a child of the formMain. Which I have used the same method. However, the address book works as normal, but the formMain never changes to the language I want. Even though tested by explictly setting the language to en-GB in the form constuctor before the inializeComponent() it will always default to French.Not sure why the address book (child) work correctly, the parent form (formMain) will always display in French, no matter if I have set this to en-GB.I am 100% that my method is correct using what I have show you above.I was thinkng about deleting the formMain and creating a new one. But that would mean doing everything again and would take too long.
Send HEX To Zebra Printer?
Apr 10, 2012My printer is a ZEBRA TLP 3742, and dont have memory for graphics, so i've printed the label to a .prn file where I can see commands, and write them in VB commands
The graphic part of the file is in HEX I think, so how can I send it to the printer ? i've tried by "print.Write" but dont work since it wants a String [code]...

Nov 10, 2009I have a Zebra TLP 2844 Printer connected by USB to my computer. I want to send EPL Commands from Visual Basic .Net to the printer through the USB Port wich the printer is connected to. USB is a Serial port but IT IS NOT COM PORT. So, I don't want the method of connecting the COM port with VB.Net. I want a USB method or any helpfull idea or code.
I searched the net for many days but no solution was found.
Briefly, I want to print to Zebra TLP 2844 from Vb.Net over USB port.

Also i am using Crystal Reports for Report solution. my question is How do i created reports such a way that they can be printed in faster Ascii Format on any DotMatrix printer. The default true type fonts make printing very slower.
I tried to use "Draft 10 cpi" font which come to available me after i installed a correct driver for my Epson printer. which also helped me overcome this problem. however it wont be the scenario with all my clients i.e. they might have different printers having different Make with different drivers installed. i have tried to open such project on there PC but the printing wont come in Draft instead the fonts get expanded too much & the print wont come right.

I use a timer which checks if there is any file to be printed on my database. Example, the timer ticks and selected 10 files to be printed, it should print the 10 files 1 at a time, if there's no print queue, that's the only time the next file should print. I think another timer is required which will keeps on checking if print queue is done. How will i do this?

When I print the output to a PDF file using PDFCreator, it stacks all of the letters onto each other rather than creating new lines at the places I've specified. I've also tried using vbNewLine instead of vbCrLf, but I haven't had any luck. I searched the web for this but couldn't find anything about it.

Jul 21, 2010I am writing an inventory control application in which a barcode scanner will be hooked up to a laptop computer in our shipping/receiving department. What I'm wondering is, whenever a shipment comes in and the receiving clerk starts scanning the products, what exactly do I need to do in order to setup our database so that the scanner recognizes which vendor/product etc. and puts the data in the correct tables. I've written inventory control apps before but never one that incorporated the use of a barcode scanner.

So far pretty simple to use, on theing thats baffling me though is after the keyUp event and the string parsing, how do i reset the value of the textbox that reads the string to make it wait for a new keyup event.
