i have a table layout panel with a background image. in the table there is some panels with transparent back colours. the image shows up in vb designer but when i execute it, it is invisible.
View 6 Repliesi am creating a table in vb.net code (htmltable) with htmltablerows and htmltablecell. I gave on image control but thatr control cant have the .imageurl property, which i need cause i have a handler image.ashx which brings image from the database.

I'm coding a little application to login to one of my sites and grab some information then display it on a form, i'm using the webbrowser control:

I have made a browser, and it all works fine, the only thing is i don't want to see the browser working, i mean i want the code to still execute but not display everything to me
currently:
Grab info button -> browser appears logs me in -> display information
what i wanted was:
Grab info button -> display information
does the browser need to be viewed? or can i make it so it works in the background still doing it's stuff?

i try to resize the picturebox according to the image size.for example if the image width is more than 500 then change the sizemode to stretch and then resize the width to 500.i am using a timer for doing this but i think it's unnecessary and stupid. and also it doesn't work well.

View 3 RepliesI have an application that requires data be entered, and after entering, a button is clicked to process that data. Clicking the button works just as it should--the data is processed properly. In constructing a test module, I provide a set of data values, followed by:
btnWhatever.PerformClick()
Nothing happens. I have used this syntax for years, and it has always worked flawlessly. I have triple checked everything else and isolated the problem to the failure of the PerformClick(). The PerformClick() is in a test subroutine that does nothing but fill textboxes and labels with default data, then calls the PerformClick() on the button to begin processing. Again, the button works fine, the data is entered as it should be, but the PerformClick() does not fire the click event.

I mean big software companies have programs that have more pixel images and are much more colorful then my program is but never lag why. AVG has nice look but the program never lag. But the code runs fine so that is a good thing. How can I stop the lag with background image?
View 1 RepliesI'm making a tileset creator and everything is working fine so far except previewing a tile. The way it works now is it gets the image from a picturebox and calls the following code when scrolling the mousewheel. It functions fine but there is a border appearing between the tiles and I can't figure out why. The source image is 32x32 in size. Most likely it is the graphics class not measuring in pixels or something.

In my project, I have a form with a background pic that I like, but unfortunately, I also have a ListView on that form which covers most of the picture. Now, is there a way to find the part of the background image concealed by the ListView, and then display it as a background image of the ListView at decreased opacity? You know, like a vague image.Just one more thing, setting the form's transparency key to the background color of the ListView is not an option.
