Textbox Without Pressing The Reset Button Then The Label Appears?

I am trying to write a program where I have to create a Reset Button.On the form are two buttons a textbox and a label.I have to put some information in the textbox and if the information is wrong I get an error message, I have finished that part of the program.My problem is creating the Reset button.When I get an error I need to press the reset button to clear the data in the textbox and replace it with the words Reset Button in the textbox. Also I have to create a label that doesn't appear unless I don't press the Reset button to start over. So if I have an error and try to type something else in the textbox without pressing the Reset button then the label appears and say YOU NEED TO PRESS THE RESET BUTTON. That is the only time that the label will appear is when I don't press the reset button.

When a button is focused by pressing Tab key, a rectangle appears on it. Even if the button's TabStop property is set to false, when the button is clicked with mouse the rectangle appears. Is it possible to stop the rectangle from appearing?

I got on my form textboxes, checboxes but also a groupbox which holds texboxes.
The idea is to be able to clear and reset all of these by clicking a reset button.
At the moment i got this

Ok, so I am building my own program to control a video player I have through telnet, I have everything else working except one thing.I have a reset button to reset the player, when I press it, it sends the string "Reset" and the unit resets without a problem.But when I add a code to close the winsock connection upon reset, it doesn't send the string to the unit. I am sure what is happening is the winsock is getting closed at the exact same time it is trying to send the string and so it fails to send, how do I make it close winsock AFTER the string has been sent? I have been searching the internet and this forum for the answer to my problem, but so far nothing is working. I want a label to appear 10 seconds after the form loads. This is one of the codes that I have tried so far [code] it doesn't work. Like this the label is visible when the form loads and then disappears, but if I switch the Label2.Visible = True & False the code doesn't work at all. It also doesn't do anything if I change the = to a less than sign.

I have a label, a button and a textbox.I want to add to the label the value of the textbox label.text = button but permanent so when I close and reopen the application the value still be in the label.For example I open the App and add a value in the textbox like 123 and hit the button, now the label = 123.
Close and reopen the App and Label still = 123 .
Note: The value is a secrete key (label visible = false) so I cannot place the value in a txt or xml.

I have the following in my code:
lblIsInvalid.Visible = True
I have noticed that even after going to this line, it does not make the label visible. I am thinking this may be a refresh issue as the last line hit is lblIsInvalid.Visible = True. Is there any refresh property that I may not be aware of for a label control.

I'm trying to stack a few lists on top of each other. But the label.size.height appears to be bigger then the label itself. When i set the borderstyle to fixedsingle, i see the border around the text. But the height is bigger, so there comes a space between one label and the next. I have tried to set margin and padding to 0 without result. Exemple: label.size.height return 23, when the height actually is something around 15. Does someone knows how i get the right size? Edit: When i explicitly set the height of the lable, the problem is solved. Is this some problem with autosize?

is its possible to have a link/button inside a textbox or label... or other term for that...for example.. i am populating some chapters in a book... then i would only display 250 chars from each chapter... then i would end it and add a "Read More" text in each chapter.. and when they click it.. i would populate the whole chapter of selected chapter in the textbox...

I'm using Visual Basic Express 2010. I have the prompt, the textbox and the calculate button. For the answer do I have to make a separate label for the answer in seconds and the actual response "That will take (separate label for answer) seconds" I made a click event button and assigned the following as global variables at the start of the form:

Then I made a click event for the button. I don't know what the formula is. Basically the user inputs a distance in the box, the calculate button tells you how long it will take for the vehicle to travel that distance in seconds.

The Thrust SSC, a super fast vehicle tracked at 1207 Km per hour (750 mph) was clocked on the Black Rock desert back in 1977. Build an application that will tell people how many seconds it would take to get to their destination if they were driving the vehicle. Of course this doesn't include having to stop for stop signs, travel through school zones, or slow down for corners.
You need to include the following:
1.) Design the application with a prompt label and textbox to collect the distance from the user.
2.) A calculate time button
3.) The form must have the text property changed to read "Are we there yet?"
4.) The objects must have both the Text property and Name property changed to an appropriate value.
5.) A constant global variable should be used to represent speed of the vehicle.
6.) A constant global variable should be used for seconds (there are 3600 seconds in an hour)
8.) A local Dim variable declaration can be used within the button click to hold the distance value.
7.) Variables should be declared with the most appropriate data types.
8.) Include a "Text Changed" event to reset the time in seconds to a blank value when the user starts entering in a new distance.
9.) Comment code should be included

I have a window form with a label. I have a form that you can type in a four digit code and press enter and will will run some code on a database. The problem occurs when a user click their 4 digit ID number and then click enter, the next user then comes up, types their 4 digit ID on the number pad and when they press enter it runs the code twice (this is due to the fact that the enter button has focus, meaning i intercept the enter, run my code, then the button runs that same code)

I have a moving label in FrmAbout and when the form initially opens for the first time the label moves from right to left exactly how it should, but when that window is closed and then re-opened the label continues moving from the position it was in when the window was closed. How can I reset the labels position to the starting position when the form as been opened or closed?Here is the code that I currently have inside the Tick Event. I have tried resetting the timer, thinking that maybe that would work, but it has not.

Is there a way that i could run a code by pressing one button but doing a code already in my project. Example, if i have a button that will do two things, and one things is something another button will do. Could i make my button run that buttons code without typing it again? I have many fields in the page and the last field is a dropdown with list of values. When I select an item in a dropdown and press Enter, it doesn't do the "Ok". Instead I have to manually click on Ok to Submit. How can I do by pressing Enter on my Keyboard rather than Clicking on "Ok" button after selecting the value from dropdown list. I have set the SubmitBehavior to true.
