Add Permanent Value To Label Using Textbox And Button?

I have a label, a button and a textbox.I want to add to the label the value of the textbox label.text = button but permanent so when I close and reopen the application the value still be in the label.For example I open the App and add a value in the textbox like 123 and hit the button, now the label = 123.
Close and reopen the App and Label still = 123 .
Note: The value is a secrete key (label visible = false) so I cannot place the value in a txt or xml.

I am trying to write a program where I have to create a Reset Button.On the form are two buttons a textbox and a label.I have to put some information in the textbox and if the information is wrong I get an error message, I have finished that part of the program.My problem is creating the Reset button.When I get an error I need to press the reset button to clear the data in the textbox and replace it with the words Reset Button in the textbox. Also I have to create a label that doesn't appear unless I don't press the Reset button to start over. So if I have an error and try to type something else in the textbox without pressing the Reset button then the label appears and say YOU NEED TO PRESS THE RESET BUTTON. That is the only time that the label will appear is when I don't press the reset button.

is its possible to have a link/button inside a textbox or label... or other term for that...for example.. i am populating some chapters in a book... then i would only display 250 chars from each chapter... then i would end it and add a "Read More" text in each chapter.. and when they click it.. i would populate the whole chapter of selected chapter in the textbox...

I'm using Visual Basic Express 2010. I have the prompt, the textbox and the calculate button. For the answer do I have to make a separate label for the answer in seconds and the actual response "That will take (separate label for answer) seconds" I made a click event button and assigned the following as global variables at the start of the form:
Const intSpeed As Integer = 1207
Const intTime As Integer = 3600
Then I made a click event for the button. I don't know what the formula is. Basically the user inputs a distance in the box, the calculate button tells you how long it will take for the vehicle to travel that distance in seconds.

The Thrust SSC, a super fast vehicle tracked at 1207 Km per hour (750 mph) was clocked on the Black Rock desert back in 1977. Build an application that will tell people how many seconds it would take to get to their destination if they were driving the vehicle. Of course this doesn't include having to stop for stop signs, travel through school zones, or slow down for corners.
You need to include the following:
1.) Design the application with a prompt label and textbox to collect the distance from the user.
2.) A calculate time button
3.) The form must have the text property changed to read "Are we there yet?"
4.) The objects must have both the Text property and Name property changed to an appropriate value.
5.) A constant global variable should be used to represent speed of the vehicle.
6.) A constant global variable should be used for seconds (there are 3600 seconds in an hour)
8.) A local Dim variable declaration can be used within the button click to hold the distance value.
7.) Variables should be declared with the most appropriate data types.
8.) Include a "Text Changed" event to reset the time in seconds to a blank value when the user starts entering in a new distance.
9.) Comment code should be included

I finally finished all my labels and textbox codes for this button.But now I have to code it so that I will be able to click the button and it will calculate all the wrong and correct answers in the labels and then finally place the percentage score in the uiScorePercentagelabel. Window Application in vb : I have a tab control (Tab 1 for temporary address & Tab 2 permanent address) and a checkbox. After entering the Temporary address. User will switch to Tab 2 (Permanent address Tab) there if both Temporary & Permanent Addresses are same then simply he can click Checkbox. Basically, it consist of a form with 2 labels, 1 textbox, and a button.The first step is to purchase an upgrade key in which the user will purchase through a source such as paypal. Basically, in my example the key for testing is "upgrade". After that, the form does some changes and forces the user to type the generated GUID and shows a msgbox saying that the update is saved. What I want to happen is allow such and such elements to be permanently visible for the user after they update successfully and that the update remembers that the user has upgraded.Summarizing, I basically want to make it where once the whole upgrade process is complete, the user can permanently show the extra upgraded features and that the upgrade is remembered.[code]

sir, i have no idea how the code will look, but i want it to assign a value after reading from a text file and then store it for further use even if the text file is not there, but without using any external storage like registry, disk, ram. It should store the value in itself and do like this:-

i am trying to get the font from a label's text to be read into the text.. i can add the font to the label with this code:

but reading it from the label and setting the font to the textbox, is the problem i am facing. i know the code does not read the font as it is displayed in the label's text, so it might be possible to just get the font name in one label, and font size in another, just by locating those two. this i have an idea how to do, just do not know how... if you have a solution on how to locate these two, and add them separately.. getting the font to the label this way, does not show the option of the selection for the font style.. i have tried using my.settings to do so, problem there as well.. basically, i want to be able to save the font selected, and next time the app loads, it loads with those those settings.

I have a form containing a date textbox and a submit button and a close window button. The date textbox onblur calls a javascript function which checks for date validation and some other logic and displays some alert messages. The date on the textbox is always selected and onfocus. My problem is when I try to click the close window button with/without changing the date the alert messages from the onblur logic are displaying and I am unable to close the window. I tried using onchange instead of onblur but onchange too works when a control looses focus. it works fine when I donot change the date but when I change the date and hit the close window button it too displays the alert messages and the window does not close. Please suggest me what will be my best option.
