ASP.Net VB Javascript Function: Calculate Height Of Content Passed To IFrame
Jan 26, 2012
I'm trying to convert an old ASP.Net 1.0 application to ASP.Net 3.5 and am running into trouble with a JavaScript function. The application passes in content into an within a table cell. The function is supposed to calculate the height of the content and size the table cell appropriately.
way of accomplishing this with the
JavaScript function
<script language="javascript" type="text/javascript">
<!--
function calcHeight() {
I want to pass a List of T where T is an object I've created that has about ten properties (strings, dates and integers). The lst passes to the function successfully. I am also passing an New T of the Object (itm as T).I can see all the values (see image below), but because it's generic I cannot seem to retrieve the property values and I cannot figure out how to iterate through the properties of each itm as they are retrieved in the For Each.[code]
I have a jQuery modal that pops up when a customer clicks on a link on one of my product pages (which is a classic asp store...) This modal contains an Iframe, Within this Iframe sits my .net vb form.
The src= for the Iframe is populated with script when the link is clicked.when the form is loaded within the Iframe I have a SQL insert on page_load..For some reason Im getting 3 inserts into the database instead of the one? when I debug my app locally it works perfectly. Can anyone help? Perhaps somone knows a better way of achieving what im trying to do? I want a sexy modal that pops up with my .net form in it from my classic asp page..
In an .aspx page with a VB.NET codebehind I am using an IFRAME which would be created inside the repeater control. Since I want to resize the IFRAME based on the content within the page I have been using the resize function obtained from here on the IFRAME onload as shown below.
HOW TO RUN THE JAVASCRIPT FUNCTION ON PAGE ONLOAD EVENT IN CONTENT PAGE OF MASTER PAGE.? means i have masterpage and the content page of master page namely default.aspx in vb.net.i wanna run javascript function in Default.aspx and i have called the function body onload in master page.when i run my website it shows the error "" Microsoft JScript Runtime Error : Object Expected ""
I want my application to open a web page that has an iframe within it named "test_iframe". Now I want to obtain the text being displayed in test_iframe. How do I get this content (I dont need the HTML code, only text being displayed in that page). Also if the iframe is hidden, can I obtain the content in such a scenario also?
I have a long string of text which i am appending to PDF document.
But im having problems trying to find out exactly how many "lines" the text will produce.
I currently have the PDF,s width to work with , But im wondering if anyone would know how i can use this to calculate how many "lines" a long string would need?[code]....
I have to Panels on a Form. The "upper" Panel is set to Dock = Fill the second "down" Panel is set to Dock = Bottom
Ok. - During the application I add some usercontrols in to the "down" Panel.
Now in one of the usercontrols, I have two group boxes (also set to Fill & Bottom) In the upper groupbox (Dockstyle = Fill) There is a Grid and below the grid, I have two RadioButtons.
On my developer machine, I can see the Grid and the Radiobuttons. On an other machine (other resolution, and other Display), I have the problem that, the RadioButtons are not visible anymore. - The user has to change the height of the "down" Panel by hand, so he can see the RadioButtons.
What I try to do now (and I don't get it working) is: Set the minimum heigt of the "down" Panel so, that both Groupboxes are visible and what is more important: that the commands are all visible.
calculate the height of the grid and the Radiobuttons depending of the solution and used display!?
I am creating a puzzle game and would like to calculate the width and height of the puzzle taking into account the original image size and the screen resolution. My screen height is 768 and width is 1366. An example image is 1200 x 1600 and the jigsaw size that works well with this image is 480 (height) x 640 (width). I would like to create an algorithm that calculates the jigsaw size for any image bearing in mind that the screen resolution will change as will the size of the image.
I am trying to make a program that will calculate the height of a falling ball for every .25 seconds starting at 0 and going till the height = 0 or until 10 items have been listed. I have started the code, but it just isnt working out!
Dim h, time as double Dim aftert as integer Do While h>0
[Code]....
I get an "expression needed" error from the &time& and nothing is displayed in the list box. Not to mention, I have no idea what to put in the loop or how to limit the list to 10 items or until the ball hits 0.
I am needing to get the browser height and width of the browser window with vb. I can get these values by setting an ASP.Net hidden input control using javascript, after the page has loaded and a post back is done. I need to be able to get these values when the page initially loads so I can create an image based on those values.
How do I configure the rowheights so that the top and bottom rows (menu bar and status bar) size to fit the height of their content, and the middle row (main content), fills the remaining available space in the program?I can't fix the height of the top/bottom rows because the height of their content can vary.
I'm not having any errors from these pieces of code, they're just empty everytime. I'm wondering if I perhaps have created them incorrectly. Dim l As New Log() l.Log = "Attempted staff login with username [" & txtUsername.Text & "]" l.LogId = 0 l.StaffId = 4 l.LogDate = Date.Now() l.Insert() .Insert() is picked up in my BLL layer by these two functions; [Code] ......
I have read previous posts and used suggestions about firebug and selenium etc. I am still a newbie and am still pretty confused as how to implement this. I am trying to access URLs that appear when I click on a link. I have accessed the JavaScript code and the function just has a couple of parameters which I have no idea how to intercept using vb.net or C# etc.
I have been learning a bit of jQuery and .Net in VB. I have created a product customize tool of sorts that basically layers up div and add's text, images etc on top of a tshirt.I'm stuck on an important stage!I need to be able to convert the content of the div that wraps all these divs of text and images to one flat image taking into account any CSS that has been applied to it also.I have heard of things that I could use to screen capture the content of a browser on the server which could be possible for low res thumbs etc, but it sounds a little troublesome! and it would really be nice to create an image of high res.I have also heard to converting the html to html5 canvas then writing that out... but looks too complicated for me to fathom and browser support is an issue.I'm thinking perhaps I could do with two solutions for this. Ideally I would end up with a normal res jpg/png etc for displaying on the website, But also a print ready high res file would be very desirable as well.
My issue is regarding overloaded functions of the already provided IIf function that would handle specific types. As you all know the IIf function provided returns objects, rather a specific type so for my needs I created a few overloaded function to do just that but with a specific type in mind. So having said I have IIf functions for types of booleans, strings, bytes, integers, etc etc.
Now my problem is when I'm trying to pass a byte value to this function that would return one of the two byte values. When I do this the designer keeps confusing my values as an integer value and calls for me to convert it to a byte. If I did this then it would defeat my entire purpose for creating these functions-which is to avoid any conversions. The only way I can solve this is by converting the whole statement itself or the true/false parameter parts individual to specify to the designer that these values are bytes. I'm just hoping there's a way of identifying the difference between bytes and integers..
Is there a way to write a single function that will control validating the input to any textbox? How to pass control of it.
E.g.: My second try was to: Dim CurrentTextBox As TextBox << Declare a global Write a function that uses the global textbox and takes in 2 parameters, one determining the length it has to validate and the second telling it what to do once the input is verified
Public Sub ConfirmInput(length As Integer, which As Integer) If (CurrentTextBox.TextLength < length) Then CurrentTextBox.BackColor = vbRed GoTo DONE ElseIf (CurrentTextBox.TextLength > length) Then CurrentTextBox.BackColor = vbRed [Code] .....
My first try was to pass a textBox parameter to the ConfirmInput function but I believe that's the same problem as above.
I am in vb.net and have a function that will be accessed by multiple threads. Everything inside the function uses local variables. However, each thread will pass in its own dataset by reference. From what I have read the local variables should be no problem, but I think the dataset coming in is a concern. How should I control access / execution of this function to make sure that it is thread safe?
I wrote a Log class that details the exception, including the method name and its arguments list, but I couldn't find any way to programmaticly retrieve the arguments values.in some forums it was said that its impossible mission. I find it very odd.my arguments list looks like:
argA As String = ? argB As integer (Opional, Default value = 2) = ?
If I set a ListBox.Height = ListBox.PreferredHeight when the control is hidden and IntegralHeight = True, then set it visible:
a) Actual Height reduces by typically 3-5 pixels after redraw (but not 1 pixel per item).
b) PreferredHeight does not not appear to give the correct integral of item heights.
Is there a way to make ListBox calculate the correct integral Height before the ListBox is made visible, so it can be correctly pre-positioned from bottom edge?
Private Sub Form1_Load(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Me.Load
Is is possible to do basic mathematical operations like addition, division etc. in XAML?For example, I want to set the height of a button to {Binding ElementName=MW,Path=Height}/2.
