After processing information in the masterpage, say, adding two numbers and displaying the sum, when i navigate away from the masterpage and want to go back using the browser's back button, the resend dialog box appears with 'resend' and 'cancel' buttons. clicking resend loads the masterpage together with its previous information(the sum), and cancel does nothing, What i am trying to do is to hide or disable the dialog box and automatically select 'resend' so that when the user clicks the browser's back button he is automatically redirected to the previous masterpage without the dialog box appearing.
Not sure if this is the rite place for this cause im new but i wanted to now how to automatic reload a page every 2sec and make it to a button (ex: hit start then every 2sec page reloads).

I have done extensive DuckDuckGo and Google search and I have came up with no viable options.The purpose of the calendar is to create a appointment system with multiple dentists therefore appointments also can run in parallel. However having it in parallel isn't required as I may have the end-use select what dentist the appointment is for (creating a appointment, therefore got to select a date/time).The project is only a university/college project therefore having it perfect isnt a requirement (but I'd prefer it). I'd use anything, otherwise I'm going to have to use a ListView.

I am a newbie at VB.net and would like for you to review my code in order to improve its performance.My objective is to append a bunch of ".csv" files into daily data sets. Within a directory I have about 2500 individual text file (.csv). Each file represents minute intraday stock market data for an individual stock covering 5 days or one week of data. This means that each symbol has 1950 string lines..Here is an example of what a string line looks like: "2011-06-27,10:07,48.15,48.15,48.02,48.02,25421". Not that is relevant but these represent Date, time,Open, High, Low, Close & Volume. Since I have 2500 files within a directory; doing some math, I am processing 2500*1950 = 4,875,000 lines. This process takes me about 16 hrs to run.[code]

I tried to Load a 8GB file with 60 GB Free Disk Space it Inserted 1658 records,Then I deleted SQL Logs and made space more than 100GBs free. For same file it inserted 60,000 records. I was just thinking what is the best way to make daily update system? I have a perfectly work system that checks for updates and downloads the latest files and all that. But one problem the user has to click check for updates button first. I think the real question is how can i add 3 hours to let say 10:00. I also think using the 24 hour system would probably be easier.

However, I can't seem to reference that text field through the javascript, since the form begins on the master page. Does anyone know why a Page_Load would be called twice on a page when requesting an aspx page?I am using .Net 2.0 with the new .net 1.1 compilation model installed. Whenever I request a page, the Page_Load on the aspx page appears to be called twice, so does the Page_Load on and user controls added to that page.
View 16 RepliesThe thing is i have a Master page and a Content Page. I have a LoadComplete in Content Page and a PreRender in Master Page. The problem is one of my htmlcontrols on content page i change on the LoadComplete event server side of the content page. I also have some code for disabling controls on the Master Page PreRender event. For some reason all controls on the aspx side go through the Master Page prerender except the ones that i change on the LoadComplete side. How can i make sure the entire content page loads and then the Master Page PreRender event is called, making all the controls go through that event.

in this case m using itemid as a unique id and the format is 1,2,3... and m finding out the max and assigning to a new record but how to assign if the previous id is of the a00001,a00002,a00003,a00004...so on. how i do i produce a unique id in this case

How can I make a textbox for an ID field automatically generate an appropriate number for the ID? Just like the sql server direct database editor generates an id for fields with the "is identity" and "auto increment" properties on.
