I have used the following code to get bandwidthIt works but i have following doubts1.I need Total Internet Data transferred in MB, how do i convert?, total data transferred (download+upload) varies with other bandwidth monitoring applications. how do i get exact data transferred?2.I need to exclude file transfer in local LAN in Data Transfer, The follwoing method includes internet data transfer + Local file transfer

I am trying to make file transfer program in vb.net 2008 for big files eg. 10 GB.i was able to code simple socket program to transfer files with small size by using Sockets but if the file is large then "File.ReadAllBytes(ComboBox1.Text)" command will not work cause it use lot of memory & if the file is really big i.e. 10 GB it give not enough memory error, so i made a loop that sends data in small amounts, but this give me a larger file size with repeated data at end of the file.

2. What's the best way to use encryption while file transfer via internet?

I have a program to make for a class i am in and i am stuck on this one part, its a form application where you have to enter the first and last name of five students along with their final grade then you click a submit button after each one and i need it so that after all five buttons are clicked it activates the summarize button and i can't figure out how to do that and another thing when you hit the summarize button it has to compare the grade against the value of a text box containing the pass threshold to amount how many passed or failed.

I have here a huge csv file with millions of rows entries. I want to load this data in a vb.net application, what datatype should i use, datatable, array or sth. else? It needs to be as fast as possible. how i can optimize the loading of the data? I once loaded this data in a datatable and it took days.. then i exportet it as xml data and loaded this xml file with the data. this was about thousand times faster.

I'm using a webservice to update some data to server.my webservice is written in asp.net and vb.i'm invoking it from a windows application(vb.net) but when my webservice is running it uses the complete bandwidth of my internet connection. is there any way to alllocate a particular bandwidth to this webservice sothat it wont affect other applications using internet?

I will use the Background Intelligent Transfer Service (BITS) to transfer files from a client (laptop) to a shared folder on a server within our local network.The problem is a very slow network bandwith, if we transfer a file, the other clients canīt work, all requests to other clients (application) or viewing internet pages needs a long time.My idea is to use BITS in my tool to copy/transfer a file from client to server, also I hope to get more performance for the internet requests.

So, I'm making a log in page for 'student'. I've two forms. 1) frmStudentRegister 2) frmStudentHome
in frmStudentRegister page, student will enter his first name, last name, email, major etc and will create his profile. When he clicks on 'register' button, the information he entered on the text box will transfer to the second from frmStudentHome.
I've this codes:
lblFname.Text = frmStudentRegister.txtFname.Text
lblLname.Text = frmStudentRegister.txtLname.Text
lblEmail.Text = frmStudentRegister.txtEmail.Text
lblMajor.Text = frmStudentRegister.txtMajor.Text
But when I debug it, frmStudentHome won't show those entries. It's just blank !

I have a sequence that reads the selected Excel-file and displays the first row of the columns in the Excel. (The first Excel row has the column names)

With the above code I can read the the first rows of the Excel table and choose the names of the columns I like to keep. (By populating the first row to my ComboBoxes)
So, at the moment my DataTable dt has all the table header names but on the first row. And as the header names it has F1, F2, F3, ... F13.
How can I make my new DataTable dt2 take the first row of dt and make it the column names row? How can I choose which columns do I want to transfer from dt to dt2 ???
I have tried the following (Doesn't work):
Dim dt2 As System.Data.DataTable
dt2 = dt.Copy.Columns("F1", "F2", "F3", "F4")
DataGridView1.DataSource = dt2

I am working in Vb Express with MsAccess as database. I have a form with Listview data from Listview is transferred to the TableCustomer it is retrieved from that table back to ListView and after some additions is stored back in Tabloe Customer.I have another table Transaction in the same database which has some common fields of Customer Table in addition to its own fields.
