I am trying to create an applicaiton that will verify that a large text file used far a CNC machince
has all of the operations in order (someone may have edited the file by mistake) I wish to bubble
sort the lines of the file while ignroing other lines. I really stuck on how to set up and handle

I want to arrange this lines according to the number in [Txxxx] from small to big then write all the line which not contain[Txxx] at the below of sorted lines. How to do this? is that possible?

But the above code replace the line with 1,2,3,4 or 5. According to select case statement. How to modify the above code so that it sort the lines?

I am trying to use bubble sort to sort to sort the deatils shown on the datagrid. The buuble sort code is there and the data grid view code is there which retrives the product details in my databse. How would i link the two together so that when the user clicks the button it uses the bubble sort code to sort and view the product deatils in order of the selected coulmn name selected by the user through a combo box?

I'm trying to implement a bubble sort on an 2 dimensional array. However the results after the bubble sort have not infact been sorted at all! I am trying to sort by the 7th item in the 2nd dimension. The other items are not important as they just contain other data but I would like to have the data kept together instead of creating another array for the bubble sort.

I've learned about and understand HOW to do a bubble sort (theoretically), but I can't seem to wrap my head around how to use a bubble sort with array structures. I'm supposed to be able to sort the inputted student information (via textfile) using bubble sort and display the result in a listbox. Basically I want to have a lines that contain certain numbers ignored. Where lines that do not contain those certain numbers show up in textbox1.text.For Instance.In the code I want it to ignore all lines that contain "1234" and "1645" when it reads Accessed.txt, and output every line that does not contain those numbers. So if a line contains "78910" it would output that line into textbox1.text.Here is what I have so far, and it works as long as I only have 1 if not contains statement. When I have more than one, it doesn't work at all and just outputs everything in the text file.

In my program; I need to collect a sequence of events in a variable of some sort. Each time the Sub is initiated, it should add one random event to the sequence (so that it gets longer each time) and then run through the sequence.This is rather difficult to express.What I'm trying to do, is create a Simon Says game with the four buttons.After the sequence goes through blinking the buttons, the program must then be able to capture the sequence of button presses by the user and match that to the sequence that the program ran.So, I need to be able to keep track of two sequences in a variable. The only thing I can do for now is either use the substring function to remove the first character from all array values after 0 but I don't like that because it's messy and what if the split "works" as I want it to one one of the lines and knocks of the first character when I don't want it to.
I have a text file containing lines of data (File 1). I need to delete all the lines in another text file (File 2), which are found in file 1.So I could read file 2 line by line. And then once the line has been read, read file 1 line by line to search for a match. But that's going to be painfully slow.Or I could read file 2 into memory. And then read file 1 line by line and REPLACE the lines in file 2 with nothing, therefore deleting them. File 2 could be 100 mb, so I'm not sure about reading it all into memory.

I made a form that when you put your CustomerID in Text3 Box.. it access the records and make some calculations. now.. The customer will return the car.. Then his data should be deleted.. I want to know how to make that when I enter the CustomerID and press on the Command button .. It copies the other lines to a new output folder and doesn't copy these ... So it appears to be deleted using this way..

When the form is first initalised and when then binding navigator moves to the next record the text_changed event fires on textbox where I have a boolean to determine if things have changed.
Is there a way to set my boolean only when valid data changes have occured or a better way to detect if things have changed
I have a text document that contains a bunch of data sets. However before each data set there is a number surrounded by brackets. I need to go instance by instance of brackets and pull the number between the brackets and the lines after the brackets until the next bracket. Here is an example of the text file that contains the data. I know how to read from a text document, do substring, do contain function, etc... I just am extremely stumped on how to do this. Here is an example of a couple entries of the text document...

Notice how different sections have a different amount of lines therefore a reading a fixed number of lines is not an option.
