Read Text File And Sort Data Between Two Characters?

I have a text document that contains a bunch of data sets. However before each data set there is a number surrounded by brackets. I need to go instance by instance of brackets and pull the number between the brackets and the lines after the brackets until the next bracket. Here is an example of the text file that contains the data. I know how to read from a text document, do substring, do contain function, etc... I just am extremely stumped on how to do this. Here is an example of a couple entries of the text document...

LauncherDirKey=
[Code]....
Notice how different sections have a different amount of lines therefore a reading a fixed number of lines is not an option.
I would like to read a text file into an array of strings using System.IO.File.ReadAllLines. However, ReadAllLines strips out some odd characters in the file that I would like to keep, such as chr(187). I've tried some different encoding options, but that doesn't help and I don't see an option for "no encoding."
I can use FileOpen and LineInput to read the file without modification, but this is quite a bit slower. Using FileSystemObject also works properly, but I would rather not use that.
What is the best way to read a text file into an array of strings without modification in .net?
I am making a program for my Dad's company that can keep track of inventory so I need to store the info in a .txt and load it up etc. I currently am using a stream writer to write to the text and I got that down pat I am just having troubles loading it back up and putting the info in specific text boxes aka sorting or parsing?
Here is my current code. It is kind of useless because I have tried so many methods I thought maybe I could use a ReadAll function have it go to a string and parse from there hoping it would have been easier but it has not worked out for me so far.
I am currently trying to develop an algorithm for the following problem: Read data from a text file such as: the driver returns on his glorious day. He's very happy to be safe and.sound at home, with his wife. With that data, i need to print the length of each word in the file and the total number of words in the file. But symbols such as . or , or ' cannot be included in the word length.
I only want to place the numerical data in an array. At the moment I have the following code to do this. [Code]. This code places the numbers in the data array when there is not any text in the file, i.e. when there are no headers. I would like to place the headers in another array, and then have the numbers in the array as in the code above.

I am exporting a directory list from a FTP directory to a text file, I would like any suggestions how best to read and split the information detailed on each row in the text file as information isn't Tab Delimited (which i have code for if it was) and the number of spaces between each attribute is different. There r 7 numbers in each row and need to read each of that and store it as an integer value ...I tried the following code..

This works and is showing each number by number ...But is there a way to store each number to another variable...something like a(1)=1, b(1)=0...., a(2)=2, b(2)=0......
