I just want my UI become user friendly with changing mouse cursor while loading data from the database,because while it is loading a plenty of data it paused.

This VS010 solution is not providing my intended outcome as a custom override of a 'crosshair' or 'reticle' cursor e.Graphics.DrawPath() is the function that isn't working. This
WORKING solution demonstrates how it's supposed to work. The additonal PictureBox added to a Panel is, for reasons I don't understand, not allowing the 'new' cursor to appear.

i have access database connected to application.. i have a table in database called "clanovi" (members) and first column items loaded to combobox their name and surname..now..when i select one of them from combo box i need all their other info loaded into several text boxes..adress,email etc..all of that info is in the same table ..i need some example code too .

an application i developed using vb 2008 express, to fill a web form with data from an access database, one after another when a button is clicked hasn't given me what i expected. the loop was suposed to stop after filling web form with the first data on clicking a button and continue to fill the webform with the next(2nd) data from the database on clicking the button again. I am using following code to get data from database and load to picture box

It gives error on DsPic.tblPicTest.Item("Picture")) portion of the statement.
I also tried

I have a form that has two text boxs User ID and password. My question user must move cursor to the User ID field. But it should default to that field as that is the only option. How to do it in .net?
View 3 RepliesIn my program I have a picturebox. using the .onEnter and .onLeave events for the mouse I have the cursor change to a cross (one of the default cursors) and it does like a transparent grayscale thing and changes color a bit depending on what is behind it. The issue with that is that all the images I look at are grayscale images so it gets a bit lost. I am wondering if there is a way to use this default cursor and apply a different color to it?

Now where i click that button the other text boxes are filled up with the data from database thru web service.. what i want is while all text boxes are being filled i want to show an animated loading gif image till data loading is completed in all the text boxes.. i have tried to use image picture box but while data is loading gif image is displyes but in static mode.. cant see animation... i think this is because data loading and animation both are done thru one UI thread..

This was surprisingly easy (This seems to be the norm in Basic, if you think it will be hard it isn't and visa versa). What I am struggling with is how to set the default location to 'Computer' rather than a disk letter and directory name. The photo is most likely to be on a card reader or Memory stick so the drive letter is likely to change.
I am guessing the command will be:

I have a label that displays information from my database and I need to format it. It displays a number format like so: (53389) and I just need it to display (53,389)it uses the SQL to COUNT or SUM the data from the datasource. is there a way to have it format like I want when it is displayed, or do I need to change the data format in the database?

I mean as in even if the user's cursor leaves the form, it will still display the custom cursor only.

The code only works if your cursor is on the form. If its not, it doesn't work as intended.
I need the code to work that the cursor will hide the original cursor and let the custom cursor I declared shown.
