I don't want to use event cellmouseclick or cellvaluechanged because it didn't react when we click. Which event that do transaction when we click check.

I have a datagridview on my windows form bound to field "STATUS" in SQL database with the default value of 0.What i want to acheive is that for each row in the datagridview, if user clicks the checkbox column only it should display a message " LOCK THE ROW?". I'm facing a strange problem in my dgv, I have the dgv bounded to a datatable, now I had to add a new column to let the user checks the rows that he/she want to export to a text file. View 1 RepliesI have a form with 2 datagridviews on it, each connected to to table in a database: datagridview1 and datagridview2.Datagridview1 has a column called names and a column called recievers.Datagridview2 has a column called senders and a checkbox column in it.
The user will first select a row in datagridview1 and then click a check box in datagridview2.What i want to do is when the user clicks a check box in datagridview2, i want it to copy the value in the "names" column of the same row, to the receivers column of the selected row in datagridview1.
I'm afraid this is a very simple question, but I can't figure it out... I hardly ever use the DataGridView (usually use a third party grid) so I never needed to do this before.Anyway, I have a DataGridView that is data-bound to a List(Of SomeClass). The grid is not ReadOnly, but I made every column ReadOnly except the very first, which is a boolean column so it displays a checkbox. This way, the user cannot edit any cell value, but he can check/uncheck the checkbox in the first column.
What I need now basically is an event that is raised when the user (not programmatically) changes the value of this checkbox. I also need to be able to retrieve the bound item from that event (from the row number I think?) but that should be no problem, I hope.Anyway, there's a bunch of events that looked promising but all have something I don't want:
1. CellBeginEdit - Fires before the checkbox value has changed, so can't use this.
2. CellEndEdit - Only fires after the edited row loses focus. I want to save it back to the database as soon as the user changes the checkbox value!
3. CellValueChanged - Same problem as nr 2.
I'm sure it must be possible for me to react as soon as the user changes the value of the checkbox? How can I do this?
I want to know that do you still need to rollback your transaction if you haven't commit the transaction that was created earlier.

i was thinking. is it possible to bring the rows that we click at datagridview and bring it into another form. which mean i click on a data that are on the datagridview, then it will pop up a form, inside the form, there will be have the data we have click on the datagridview, and we can edit and save at that form. I get this error at the Commit of a transaction in a desktop application:
This OleDbTransaction has completed; it is no longer usable.
Other posts I have seen with similar error suggests this can occur if it takes a long time, or contains large amounts of data. This is not the case here.Logging tells me it takes 140 ms from Begin to Commit and about 10 commands executed inside the transaction.It is using an Oracle database.This class is a simplified version of my database class:

Is it not allowed to run a select inside a transaction like this? Or can it be done by running the transaction in a specific isolation level (I see that the BeginTransaction method has an optional parameter for doing this) ? ..Or some other sollution..? In my case, it was not a problem to move the select to run before the transaction started, but what if you need to run selects that must run inside the transaction?
I've seen plenty of examples of transactions in the actual store procedure's SQL. But I'm wanting to do the transaction and keep track of it in code. I tried this but it says that my insertcommand's transaction object is null. How can I fix this?

I've read thru Iceplug's tutorial on control arrays and got it working. I tried to add a new event by basically copying his click event code and calling it a doubleclick event. I used the proper addhandler and assigned the correct name to my sub. I have the click event changing the background color to blue and the doubleclick event changing the background color to green. The background color does not change to green. Why?
