May 8, 2012Is the a way for a ClickHandler to work IF the control is Enabled = False? Like for example to show a messagebox with the message "Unable to change this data".

Jan 17, 2010I would like to know how to make a button click only so many times until it becomes disabled.
I would also like to know how to keep what is put in a RichTextBox there, without erasing the other text;
Example: Two buttons, the first puts "1" into the RTB, and the second puts "2" into the RTB. However when I press the second button, it over writes the first value.
How can I prevent this?

VS 2008 - Get DataGridViews Entire Column To Become Disabled And Won't Let The User Click On The Checkboxes
Aug 23, 2011I have a dgv with a column type = DataGridViewAutoFilterCheckBoxColumn. I want to know if there's a way to I can get that entire column to become disabled (or Enabled = False) so it won't let the user click on the checkboxes. I tried looking in the "Bound Column Properties" but there isn't an option to disable the entire column.

Oct 12, 2010What is an "EASI" LinkButton? Why don't you just use an ASP.NET LinkButton? Try modifying your JavaScript method so that it returns "true" if you want the postback to occur...and "false" if you want it to stop. Then change the LinkButton to so that it "returns" the value that is returned by the JavaScript method... This should stop the postback from occurring (but then again I've nevers een an EASI LinkButton before.......)

.net - Highlight Control In A Disabled Form Using Reflection?
Dec 23, 2011I am using Reflection with VB.Net to get all the forms in a list box and all controls in another list box for the selected form in the first list box for any selected Assembly from any location.
On selection of any form and clicking the 'Open Form' button it opens that particular form in disable state.
But it throws exception as connection could not established(seems the load event of the form still fires which is not desired).
So now i want that the form should load in disable state without firing any event of it and also if any of the control will be selected then it will be highlighted in the form with a red border.

Oct 20, 2010I set the HourGlass, disable the button (to avoid ppl that are too used with FPS games), do the serial communication bit that last a couple of seconds, then the set the mouse back to normal and re-enable the button.And I have a few more like those through the software using text boxes or drop-down menus.[code]My form is set in design time to be KeyPreview = True and I even tried to set it again after the Click. The routine is simply not called and the ESC key on the keyboard does not hide the form anymore.

Jul 5, 2009does anyone know how to change the text color of a disabled checkbox control?I have drawn a black background on my form interface and a checkbox has been positioned on top of this background. When the checkbox has its enabled property set to false, the text cannot be seen at all ( so I assume the disabled text color is black ).Does anyone know how to change this color? I've tried changing the chkbox.forecolor property from within the program code but it didn't change the disabled text color :/

May 7, 2009I have 2 listboxes on a form. Each listbox has a few items. As you know, I am able to have 1 item selected from each listbox, therefore making it 2 selected items from different listboxes.

May 12, 2011I have a Winform application where i added picturebox's to a flowlayout panel dynamically from code. I have successfully managed to add a handler for doubleclick and click events the problem i have is that when i add both together it only seems to work with the click event and not the double click. where I could bee going wrong? Nov 20, 2009Here is a problem with focus. I have a container(e.g. Panel) which contains some controls. How can I detect the focus event whenever any of the controls in the container has received or lost focus? Do I need to add handler for each control?
example: If all controls in the container have no focus, the container will report as inactive; if one of the controls has focus, the container will report as active.

I have been able to add an event handler to a single textbox to respond to the ".Leave" action.
Now I want to take multiple textboxes and use them as a single control and use the same event handler.
Eg. If TextBox1, TextBox2 and TextBox3 are grouped as a single control nothing would happen in those boxes until focus went to any other control on the form.
Using An Event Handler At Runtime To Control A Button?
May 25, 2012During the process of my program I am creating several different buttons depending on what file the user selects. I have been able to create these buttons and I would like to set up the event handler so when the user selects one of these buttons it pops up a message box that shows the user the name of the button they just clicked on. The message box isn't the goal of what I would like to do with it but If I could get that to work I would be able to alter the code to get it to work the way I want it to.
Below is my code that I currently have. I don't have the event handler doing anything at this time as I can't seem to get it to work I am still playing around with it.

Jan 24, 2012I am passing some values from a Gridview Update Click event to a popup ASP.net page that dynamically builds a series of textboxes in a Placeholder based on the number of sentences that are found in a specific cell of the Grid Row selected.The boxes that are built represent each sentence found in the cell of the selected row. Each sentence is presented for translation, where user enters data into a 2nd dynamically generated textbox.This all works great.Now I have a Listbox beside the 2nd textbox, which sometimes has 1 or more variables that need to placed into the translated sentence. I have set up a Hover menu over the listbox so that I can select the variable and insert it at the end of the sentence in the 2nd textbox. My problem is generating the click event on the dynamically created Listbox. Something like....

VS 2010 AddHandler Not Adding Second Event Handler For Control?
Jan 6, 2012I am playing around with Drag and Drop, and I am having an issue with AddHandler. I am creating labels and displaying them on a form. Before I add each label to the form, I add 2 event handlers (DragEnter and DragLeave). When I run the code, it hits the first event handler (DragEnter), but doesn't hit the second event handler (DragLeave). Either I have coded something wrong, or the second handler is not being added.
