VS 2008 : Convert A IP Range String To Base64String For XML Storage?
Jul 14, 2010Been a while since I last posted here. I'm busy on a new project and I need to convert a string which represents a IP range (like this: 10.0.0.0-10.0.0.254), to two Base64 strings which represents the first and second IP adress in this range definition. Like this: (start IP: CgAAAA== End IP: CgAA/g==)I've got it to work, but it such an ugly code, and I know it can be done with 2, or at max 4 lines code. But I'm not so handy with the Base64 string conversion jet. So this is where I ask for help from you guys!
Here's what I got (in goes: Apf.Iprange = "10.0.0.0-10.0.0.254")

Jul 22, 2009I have a datagridview that has 65000 rows and 200 columns. I need to extract unique rows from the datagridview based on some sort of relevancy percentage.
While processing these rows it gives me an error "System.OutOfMemoryException" at around 47000 row. I searched for this exception over internet and found that it is related to RAM. I have 4GB RAM and my OS is Vista. However it would be used by people having as low as 512 MB RAM.

Sep 28, 2009I wrote a POS system a few years back, about 5 Then updated it about 2 years there after, so it has been running without problems for about three years now.All of a sudden of saturday, The following error comes up, System.outofmemory exception in mscorlib.All the system does is run the POS. Its not connected to the internet, nobody installs anything on there.And to make it worse, I now specialise in web strategy, and am a 'bit rusty' when it comes to vb.net applications.

Jan 23, 2009I'm downloading a bunch of files from a URI but when they get big, I get an utOfMemoryException. I thought at first it was MemoryStream error but I'm pretty sure now that the error is rooted in the declaration of an array of Bytes that's too large. (Half a gig is fine, 1.7 gig is not.)

And I think obviously is about memory matter because of the number of records to be transfer.My program goes this way.. after filling a dataset from a table it will transfer all data into another table. ToBase64String And FromBase64String?
Aug 2, 2010I have a crypto class where strings like a passwod or email address are encoded and decoded.
I'm having problems with the ToBase64String and FromBase64String methods.
In the crypto class, the string is encoded first and then converted to a base64 string.
When decoding it, it's first converted from base64string to an byte array which is then decoded.
If I encode a certain email address it and then later I want to decode it again, I get an error.
The error is: "Invalid length for a Base-64 char array."
I tried it first with coding with DES and also tried it with tripleDes, but the result is the same.
This is causing a lot of problems. How can I solve this?

I then have a store Proc that looks at a table and gets a list of files that matches the files in the first array. The result is a fullresultset. The next step I need to create a 3rd array that only contains the rows from the first that are not in the second. However, I am getting the following error.
