Copy An Image's Region To Another?

Following my test project for making a map editor, I finally got the tile selection part covered.The application can already tell which tile(s) is selected.
So now we will work on "click the map and the tiles will be drawn" part.
When the user clicks the map, I need to "copy" a selected tiles in the tile selector, and "paste" them on the map. The process is a bit longer actually.Or is there a way to directly copy the selected tiles to the map image?

i have an image which has 2 colors, black and white.
i wish to get a region object that has all the white areas 'selected'
the shape is not just a polygon, its fairly shapeless
is this the best approach: create a region that is the size of the image and run a loop checking each individual pixel to see if its black, if it is then exclude it from the region. (i've got a feeling this will take very long to load)

What i'm trying to do is fill a non rectangular region (actual build up out of 6 points) and draw a bitmap in such a way that it stretches with the region. Now for drawing a normal bitmap or even a trapezoid bitmap there are examples on the net. but drawing anything more then that with GDI+..

To refresh or invalidate only a region of the form.sometimes I will need refresh all the form, but in some situations only specific regions of the form..I saw some samples on the Microsft site, but I don't understood.I use VB .net 2008

ive been have a bit of a problem with copying a file to another directory.In my app i display an image, i provide an browse for a new picture button.This feature will copy the file from the users choosen directory and copy it and place it into a specific directory. The problem imhaving is the image i want to replace is in use by the app and wont change.i use picturebox.dispose() to free up the image in memory but it doesnt seem to work.

Lets say I got two images in VB.NET. Both are 100x100.
Then I want to copy a section of the first image and paste it on the second image.
For example, lets say I want to pickup the rectangle (25,25,75,75) from the first image, and paste it at (25,25) point of the second image.

How would one create a temporary copy of an image to use, and then dispose of it once finished? System.IO.File.Felete returns an error, stating that the file is still in use. How would I make the file delete-able? [code]As you can see, Ghostscript creates an image in a temporary location, then sets it into the pbPreview PictureBox.

I have 6 picture boxes 5 of which shows the players and 1 picture box for the basketball. What I would like to do is to drag those picture boxes on the court at run time but when I drag them inside the court the images should not be moved instead they should only be copy inside the court. how do I do it? Im having a hard time solving this problem. what I have right now is that when I drag the images the image are moved to the court and not copied. Also after dragging the first picture box that picture box from the source should be hidden then the 2nd picture box will now be visible and so on...

When I load images using openfiledialog I need to store a backup copy of the images to the other folder using the same filename and with the same extension.So how do i do that as in the below mentioned code I am able to copy only one image and I have given random string for that image.But I don't need that.I want to copy with the same filename and with the same extension.And if I have the same filename it should overwrite it but not with a different name and extension.[code]

I have a webbrowser control that has the contextmenustrip control in it. I would like to right-click on an image and have the contextmenustrip tool copy the image url to the clipboard. I have code that is able to copy text from the webbrowser control to the clipboard and paste, but I would like to be able to copy the image url to the clipboard so that it can then be pasted wherever.Here is the code that I have that is able to copy text and past it:

I have a picture box and if I use Clipboard.SetImage(PictureBox.image) Then I can only paste the image into things like Paint and MS word. I can't paste it as a file into a folder/desktop.So how can I copy the image to to the clipboard and if gets pasted to a folder then it becomes a file?

I'm trying to copy/move (whichever works in the end) a picture from my resources in my program, to the startup path.
However, when i try it, it tells me that the file could not be found.
System.IO.File.Copy(My.Resources.Image, PATH, False)That will turn up with an error telling me that the value of type Bitmap cannot be converted to string. So i figured i would try to put a .ToString behind it, and then i'll get the File Not Found error.

A user scans a series of documents which are sent through a program that places a .tif or .pdf of each document into a folder on a remote VM Server and sends the image location to a VM instance of SQL Server(along with other OCR extracted data).
It is my job to create a program that will:
1. Allow another user to see the filenames on a form, chose which files need to be processed (either by typing them into two textboxes {ie. start and end filenames} or by clicking on a start and end filename on the form {from a databound SQL container maybe?}.
2. The program then must show the images in a picture box as it is copying them to the destination folder.
3. Then the software must somehow be able to regonize which documents were processed, and not include them in new searches.

I am making a VB.NET application linked to a database. when you press the button 'generate' it is writes (fairly simple) webpages to a folder in your destkop. what I tried was adding a build-in uploader to my website, but my host didn't supported that. ok, not that big of a deal, and completely out of context but now let's get to the core of my problem;
I wanted to have an image in the resources (none made yet) and have it copied out the resources and placed along with the webpages (to use it as background image). I have tried a lot (clearly not everything or it would work) but I just don't manage to solve this. the problem is I need to be able to do this, since I want to have my .accdb in the resources to, so that it copies out when used an writes (an updated version) back to the resources and deletes the external file. but I never seem to manage to do this. I tried to read,write and other things it with IO and everything, just getting the message that it cannot be read. but I never seem to find how to copy/move it outside the program. the code I am using now looks like this:

It should also be possible to add Paint-like editing features later.What is a good approach? System.Drawing.Bitmap works internally, but the only way I could show it is to convert it to an ImageSource and show it inside an Image control. Is there any better way?

I have a 3rd party (c#) class that raises an event. on accsing this event i want to copy the image property to a queue.

But when I view myQ at a later date it tells me the parameters of the images are not valid.Is it adding them by reference?i would have through adding an object to a queue was byval. how can i enforce this?

I have a custom-shaped form created by setting the Region to an image. I want to be able to highlight the edge of the form when it has focus. To do this I believe I need to get the outline of the form and convert it to a path so I can draw a two-pixel highlightaround the edge of the form.
