Copy An Image's Region To Another?
Jan 25, 2011Following my test project for making a map editor, I finally got the tile selection part covered.The application can already tell which tile(s) is selected.
So now we will work on "click the map and the tiles will be drawn" part.
When the user clicks the map, I need to "copy" a selected tiles in the tile selector, and "paste" them on the map. The process is a bit longer actually.Or is there a way to directly copy the selected tiles to the map image?

Mar 18, 2011ive been have a bit of a problem with copying a file to another directory.In my app i display an image, i provide an browse for a new picture button.This feature will copy the file from the users choosen directory and copy it and place it into a specific directory. The problem imhaving is the image i want to replace is in use by the app and wont change.i use picturebox.dispose() to free up the image in memory but it doesnt seem to work.

Then I want to copy a section of the first image and paste it on the second image.
For example, lets say I want to pickup the rectangle (25,25,75,75) from the first image, and paste it at (25,25) point of the second image.

What I would like to do is to drag those picture boxes on the court at run time but when I drag them inside the court the images should not be moved instead they should only be copy inside the court. how do I do it? Im having a hard time solving this problem. what I have right now is that when I drag the images the image are moved to the court and not copied. Also after dragging the first picture box that picture box from the source should be hidden then the 2nd picture box will now be visible and so on...

Jul 25, 2011When I load images using openfiledialog I need to store a backup copy of the images to the other folder using the same filename and with the same extension.So how do i do that as in the below mentioned code I am able to copy only one image and I have given random string for that image.But I don't need that.I want to copy with the same filename and with the same extension.And if I have the same filename it should overwrite it but not with a different name and extension.[code]

I have code that is able to copy text from the webbrowser control to the clipboard and paste, but I would like to be able to copy the image url to the clipboard so that it can then be pasted wherever.Here is the code that I have that is able to copy text and past it:

However, when i try it, it tells me that the file could not be found.
System.IO.File.Copy(My.Resources.Image, PATH, False)That will turn up with an error telling me that the value of type Bitmap cannot be converted to string. So i figured i would try to put a .ToString behind it, and then i'll get the File Not Found error.

Jun 5, 2011A user scans a series of documents which are sent through a program that places a .tif or .pdf of each document into a folder on a remote VM Server and sends the image location to a VM instance of SQL Server(along with other OCR extracted data).
It is my job to create a program that will:
1. Allow another user to see the filenames on a form, chose which files need to be processed (either by typing them into two textboxes {ie. start and end filenames} or by clicking on a start and end filename on the form {from a databound SQL container maybe?}.
2. The program then must show the images in a picture box as it is copying them to the destination folder.
3. Then the software must somehow be able to regonize which documents were processed, and not include them in new searches.

How To Copy/move A File (image,accdb,...) Out Of Resources
May 12, 2012I am making a VB.NET application linked to a database. when you press the button 'generate' it is writes (fairly simple) webpages to a folder in your destkop. what I tried was adding a build-in uploader to my website, but my host didn't supported that. ok, not that big of a deal, and completely out of context but now let's get to the core of my problem;
I wanted to have an image in the resources (none made yet) and have it copied out the resources and placed along with the webpages (to use it as background image). I have tried a lot (clearly not everything or it would work) but I just don't manage to solve this. the problem is I need to be able to do this, since I want to have my .accdb in the resources to, so that it copies out when used an writes (an updated version) back to the resources and deletes the external file. but I never seem to manage to do this. I tried to read,write and other things it with IO and everything, just getting the message that it cannot be read. but I never seem to find how to copy/move it outside the program. the code I am using now looks like this:

i use a hiden label to "show" the path. to the picturebox read�s the location from the label and the databas reads and writes the locatin to the label and the "openfiledialog" writes the location to the label. sp that simple.
