Count Number Of Emails With Certain Colour Category In Outlook
Sep 25, 2011
I work with a large shared mailbox within which several individuals each have a folder of their own. I am trying to develop a tool which will monitor how many emails each individual has in their own folder including a breakdown of what categories have been applied to each email (IE In my Subfolder there are 20 Emails - 10 Blue, 5 Red).I have already coded a prototype but so far I have only been able to get a general count working not a breakdown of categories.Does anybody know if this is possible? I have searched a see lots of code for setting the category with VBA but none for querying it.
how to count emails in an Outlook inbox. So if I click button 1, it will populate a label with the total # of emails in the inbox.
I've been using the redemption.dll to do operations to handle emails, I just can't figure out how to count emails in the inbox. Redemption examples would be preferable, but I'll take any kind of example at this point!
(We run Visual Studio 2005 & 2008, office 2003, & exchange server)
I used the following code to send emails through outlook using vb.net. I installed windows xp professioanal,ms visual studio 2005, ms outlook 2002. But i am getting the following error. Operation aborted (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80004004 (E_ABORT))".
' Create an Outlook application. Dim oApp As Object oApp = New Outlook.Application()
We currently use the following code to create an email in Outlook so that the user can type what they want in Outlook, then when the email is sent, the system prompts them to see if they would like to save the email[code]....
I have a macro written in VB in Excel, which reads emails from Outlook. I would like to automatize this process, but everytime, when Excel wants to access the outlook, I have to give permition to do that, see http://apophis.wz.cz/permition.PNG (It's in czech, but you will see the point). Is there any way to give this permition for ever? Or for long time, such as 10 hours? (I can choose max. 10 minutes).
dragging and dropping emails from outlook onto a datagridview. Please help me step by step in setting up my form for dropping. So far I get the black circle icon with a slash across the middle, the indicates "this is not allowed"
At my job we have about 800+ customers. They send their orders which we receive through public folders that we have set up. I would to create a program that would count the emails in each public folder and send the output to a spreadsheet. Having trouble getting the count.
I'm trying to cycle thru the emails in an Outlook Inbox, but strangely, when my code cycles thru each individual email, the order of each in the FOR....IN.... loop is non-sensicle. The loop seems to start from the email in the middle of the list, cycles down to the end, then starts at the last email received and cycles down from there. When viewed in Outlook and sorted by latest email first and descending, the emails seems to be in order. This is my code:
[Code]....
Should I have to sort the emails first by received date descending? If so, how do I do that? If you look at my code, I have attempted that but it doesn't seem to work.
designing a Windows based computer program that will allow a user to enter some number (n) and a choice of a count up or count down for that many numbers. So for example, the user enters 5 as their number and selects the count down option, the message box displayed would contain the message: "Here are your numbers: 5,4,3,2,1,0"
when I generate my <appname>.exe file, the summary properties fields are all empty. There must be a way I can add this, but I haven't found it yet. I am running VisualBasic .Net 2003 standard edition.b
At present I have wrote an application (in-house CRM, vb .net 2010) which allows me to send emails under the selected customer & I categorised these emails. As these are categorised I can return data to display email history in my program by using search criteria:
Dim oMail As Outlook.MAPIFolder = oNS.GetDefaultFolder(Outlook.OlDefaultFolders.olFolderSentMail) Dim sSearch As String sSearch = "[Categories] = '" + "[" + tAccount.Text.Trim + "]" + "(" + tShipTo.Text.Trim + ")'" Dim oItems As Outlook.Items = oMail.Items.Restrict(sSearch)
However the limitation to the above is it only looks at sent items & no other folder. My ideal solution would be to display all email correspondence for a certain contact.
So I would like an email program that within the code already has the from email adress, gmail. I would like it to let you enter the number of emails to send to the address that you enter, not the one in the code. Also I would like it to be able to enter the message.
To .NET after getting tired of using VB6 due to the lack of functionality. I'm trying to create a log on method for a system which will involve users selecting a colour from a paint panel and then placing/drawing the colour in 1 or more tiles of a grid, basically a 3x3 grid in which for example they selected the blue colour and drew in the top left tile and the bottom left tile. The logon is selecting the correct colour and placing the colour in the appropriate tile. What i want them to be able to do is place even a single pixel of colour so it has a high accuracy. So far i have a timer which loops from the width of the grid to the height of the grid.
Private Sub Timer1_Tick(sender As System.Object, e As System.EventArgs) Handles Timer1.Tick Dim BMP As New Drawing.Bitmap(1, 1) Dim GFX As System.Drawing.Graphics = System.Drawing.Graphics.FromImage(BMP) GFX.CopyFromScreen(New Drawing.Point(MousePosition.X, MousePosition.Y), _
[CODE]...
To start with i have just hard coded the colour i want it to detect. At present it produces an error. Parameter must be positive and < Width the error is on System.Drawing.Point(i,j). If i place the mouse over the colour then run the program it will say it has been found, but otherwise it wont find the colour. I believe i am not updating the location of the pixel or something to that effect.
I've got a combobox which loads the system colour list, the selected colour is stored in the registry (i've tried storing the index number value aswell as the colour name - how can i get the combobox to display the stored colour as the default colour when the form loads? It always defaults to the first item in the colour list I've tried
So I have got a program with a timer on, a few labels displaying coordinates, and two buttons. Here is my
[code]...
It displays the color of the pixel at the coordinate typed into the text boxes.I have a video of a tennis ball which is bouncing on the spot, and the background in brown, so when the tennis ball comes into view there is a significant color change and i want it to start and stop a timer each time the colour changes significantly. So my question is, how do i get it to check whether the colour chas changed significantly?
Imports Microsoft.Office.Interop Public Class Form1 Public Sub SaveAttachments() Dim objOL As Outlook.Application

This is my code. When i am tryng to run it in my VB editior i got the errors

My VB2010 programme changes the background colour of a button (butExtra.BackColor = Color.Red). But how do I restore the colour to the default "Control" colour?
i am looking to change the windows colour and colour intensity. These settings are accessable through Control PanelAppearance and PersonalizationPersonalizationWindow Color and Appearance But is there a way that i can remotely change these two settings through functions in my windows form application? Also is there any way of removing the slight blur on the window bars/taskbar when using an aero theme?
I'd like to replace all the white pixels in a bitmap image with pixels of the colour "Color.FromKnownColor(KnownColor.MenuHighlight)". Is there some method in the Image, Bitmap or Graphics classes I can use, or will I simply have to inspect each pixel in the image with GetPixel, check whether it is a white pixel, and then set it with SetPixel? Here is the code I am using now:
Private Shared Sub highlight(ByVal b As Bitmap) Dim highlightColour As Color = Color.FromKnownColor(KnownColor.MenuHighlight) Dim whiteARGB As Long = Color.White.ToArgb
I have two listbox.listbox4 have a number from 0 to 10.i want to count that number and put into listbox5oid to count item 1 - 10 in listbox4.start count from item 11.
I have a bunch of pdf files in a folder and would like to know the best way to either via a free PDF counter software or programmatically how to count the number of pages for each pdf and put the result in either a excel or access table. I already have the table populated with the pdf filenames. I googled "PDF page counter" and there were a number of hits, however I'm not sure how trust worthy these tools are. So, what some names of trust worthy pdf page counting tools/software and alternatively, are there any good VB.NET code samples that attempt this?
