I am trying to figure out this problem for my class, and I can't even decide where to start with it. The question is: Create a Project to compute your checking account balance.Form: Include radio buttons to indicate the type of transaction: deposit check or service charge. A text box will allow the user to enter the amount of the transaction. Display the new balance in a ReadOnly text box. Calculate the balance by adding deposits and subtracting service charges and checks. Include buttons of Calculate, Clear, Print, and Exit.This question has me stumped, I dont know where to really being, this is how I decided it should work in my head, let me know if theres an easier way.They choose one of the three radio buttons and to the left of that is a text box with a submit button under. They type in there deposits and hit submit after each one, and then do the same for service charges and checks. Once they are done they hit the calculate button, which displays it in a readonly text box.

I'm trying to add charges to the account, specified from a textbox and change the results of the balance.It works to a point, that it adds a number (1) and then when it comes to adding another number. it kinda remembers the previous one in addition to the next one Im adding to it.I'm working with class instances too, so if there is a problem with that, please point it out. I have an installer for my application that makes changes to the registry for better application performance However, depending on the language of the operating system installed this input need changes For example (which is the case itself) Systems in Portuguese the entry is called (Padrao)Systems in English the entry is called (Default) I know I have I change the property "Condition" of the entry I created but I do not know what I have to write in this "Condition" I write within this property to validate that The system is in English or The system is in Portuguese I plan to put the project set two registry entries, one that will be done on systems with English language and other entry in systems with Portuguese language?

To create a program that asks for input then uses an else statement to create a handling fee balance.
Input: sales record - first name, last name, purchase amount, balance before purchase
Output: report - full name, old balance, purchase amount, handling fee, new balance
Definitions: handling fee is 5% of the old balance if the old balance is less than $1000.00 else it is 2% new balance = old balance + purchase + handling fee
Processing:
Ask for and receive sales information
Calculate new balance
Print output report
End the program when a purchase amount of 9999.99 is entered

For my Visual BASIC class we were asked to create a project to compute your checking account balance.Included in the project should be three radio buttons (deposit,check, and service charge), one text box (the amount),and a read only text box which will show the new balance. The balance should be calculated by adding deposits and subtracting checks and service charges; Each of these must return an updated balance. If there is not enough money to cover a check,do not deduct the check amount, but charge a service charge of ten dollars. The problem I have continually run into is keeping a running balance without using do or for loops. Here is a copy of the code i have come up with which will display only what I enter into the amount text box and put it into the balance read only text box; it will not accumulate.

I want to take opening balance when i open a report between date parameter it show the opening balance, actually i have three columns "description" "debit" "credit" in crystal report now i want to add 1 more field which come throuhd formula which is opening balance. i have a data of debit credit from 2006. but user choose to show the data from 2008 so i want that the balcne from sum of debit and credit side between 2006 to 2007 end come in the shape of opening balance in the report and then add the debit and credit side of report into opening balance. i put a following fromual bt not accept it sum ({vr_detail.debitT})-sum({vr_detail.creditT}) > {?strtdte}

I have started a project in VB 9.0 (or if you like Visual Basic 2008 Express Edition), it's called bEdit (Basic Edit). It is like notepad for writing basic files (.bas). And now, my problem is:If you press enter to start a new line and then save the file, and then open that file in Notepad and there will be no blank line, all words will be together and blank line will be replaced with some weird ASCII character.

I thought I postet this yesterday but I can't find my thread so if this is a duplicate please point me at the original one. Background: I need to create a user account and Modify it's registry before the user logs on the first time. Creating the account is done by using the Winnt provider (works great). To create the profile I'm trying to use Process.start to launch a process as the newly created user. With the use of loaduserprofile property the users profile gets created and i can do my regwrites without problem.

I have one successful VB program in VS Studio 2010 Express Now, I want to add features to it but keep the original as is. Is there a way to save the current project with a different name without loosing the path, resources used and code? I did try to copy the project directory to a different directory named "TMP" but it does not work.

Ok this is what I'm stuck on:I have 2 ListBoxes and 2 Lists, let's call them ListBox1, ListBox2, List1 and List2.List1 needs to be associated with ListBox 1, and List2 with ListBox2 I loop through a bunch of accounts, add them to LixBox1 at run-time.During that loop I add each account number to List1 so now the account number is associated with the ListBox index number which is right.Now when I double click one of the accounts in ListBox1 it is added to ListBox2 (but it still remains in ListBox1), and the same index of List1 added to List 2, now the account in ListBox2 is associated with the account number at the same index in List2 you see where I'm going with this?The issue wtarts here.When I double click an account (let's say the account at the first index) in ListBox2 it should be removed from the list, so now I remove the index from List2 since it's no longer needed, but now you know what's happened right? ListBox2's List indexes have all decremented by 1 because I just removed an item from the beginning of the list, but List2's indexes have stayed the same (at least that's how it appeared when I tested it).
So basically whats the best method for keeping things in reference? I was told about list boxes in another thread of mine, but is it really the best way to go about this, I can't seem to keep everything linked together reliably.
