Validating/checking An Existing Account Using Function?

I have this create user form in my system, I want to validate in my database if the certain username that is inputted has already existing, how will I do that:Here's the code I'm using for the create button in my form:

I'm trying to check username and password by using a For Each Statement. If it validates then messagebox saying welcome appears, if it doesn't a message box saying "incorrect" will keep popping up over and over until it's done looping through the table. How can i correct this and just make it display one time. Also when it does validate a new window will show up with users First and Last name in a textbox, How can I edit users info and then save to db.

For my Visual BASIC class we were asked to create a project to compute your checking account balance.Included in the project should be three radio buttons (deposit,check, and service charge), one text box (the amount),and a read only text box which will show the new balance. The balance should be calculated by adding deposits and subtracting checks and service charges; Each of these must return an updated balance. If there is not enough money to cover a check,do not deduct the check amount, but charge a service charge of ten dollars. The problem I have continually run into is keeping a running balance without using do or for loops. Here is a copy of the code i have come up with which will display only what I enter into the amount text box and put it into the balance read only text box; it will not accumulate.

I am trying to figure out this problem for my class, and I can't even decide where to start with it. The question is: Create a Project to compute your checking account balance.Form: Include radio buttons to indicate the type of transaction: deposit check or service charge. A text box will allow the user to enter the amount of the transaction. Display the new balance in a ReadOnly text box. Calculate the balance by adding deposits and subtracting service charges and checks. Include buttons of Calculate, Clear, Print, and Exit.This question has me stumped, I dont know where to really being, this is how I decided it should work in my head, let me know if theres an easier way.They choose one of the three radio buttons and to the left of that is a text box with a submit button under. They type in there deposits and hit submit after each one, and then do the same for service charges and checks. Once they are done they hit the calculate button, which displays it in a readonly text box.

I designed a DataGridView under the name "dgvTarifa" and took a chance on trying Row Validating (tried Validated, CellEnter, CellLeave, RowEnter, RowLeave all count same) event. The purpose of the code is to load the selected values of the respective columns into three textboxes in order to rephrase/revalue those and update them by pressing a button. All works fine every single line of code there's nothing wrong except one logical thing.
When the form loads the RowValidating automatically fires because I have a function that Selects the table from the Database and it fills the DataSet by then attaching it to the datasourse of the "dgvTarifa" table. After setting the datasource of the datagridview, it automatically jumps to the RowValidating event which I DONT WANT TO! It first has to finish the whole function and later when the user enters with mouse or enters/leaves a row this has to be fired. (eventually already have the CellClick event with the same code below so only RowValidating has to work properly...)

In my .NET porject, I have to run a lot of validation on 4/5 fields. This validation checks if certain fields have errors, for example: the name field is not allowed to have numbers or symbols. If all these checks are passed, I need to execute a SQL query to pull some data out of the database. I could have it with a lot of nested IFs, and run the function at the end once it passes them all, but this will translate into about 12 nested IFs, and it seems a really bulky way to do it. I have also thought about setting a boolean value after every check, and if the value is 1 then don't run the function, else do. But of course this gets overwritten by other checks that pass.

I have a SQL function that I am calling in my VB.Net code within a display function. The SQL function will format my account data to include the following results form a Table. The table data: "001000011121" (this is the type of structure the data has before formatted)
So the data table data and vb Properties would be called Myaccount, HerAccount, ThisAccount. Once the data is pulled and then formatted in the VB.net code it will result into a GridDisplay as as: "001.00.001.1121"
The way I have my Public Function in my code is:

I have a program that allows a bank to view clients information.The app will allow the users to click next and previous buttons to see clients information.I also added an edit button and save button to it.

I'm fairly new to ASP.NET & VB.I've been asked to take an existing textbox that is automatically filled with the current date and allow the user to either add a "+" or "-" and a number or a spcific number and convert that into a date.I underdstand the basic concept on how to do this, but I'm running into some problems using the proper commands in order for this to work.The Textbox is called txtDate.What I've tried to do is this:

Well, its not text, but a number. I've currently got about 10 labels and right now I'm checking each one of them separately using if statements, but I've been told that there is an easier way using a For statement (I've never really got used to it...) to check all of them without having so many if statements... Currently I'm trying something like this (which, ofcourse, doesn't work and is completely wrong :X)

Ok this is what I'm stuck on:I have 2 ListBoxes and 2 Lists, let's call them ListBox1, ListBox2, List1 and List2.List1 needs to be associated with ListBox 1, and List2 with ListBox2 I loop through a bunch of accounts, add them to LixBox1 at run-time.During that loop I add each account number to List1 so now the account number is associated with the ListBox index number which is right.Now when I double click one of the accounts in ListBox1 it is added to ListBox2 (but it still remains in ListBox1), and the same index of List1 added to List 2, now the account in ListBox2 is associated with the account number at the same index in List2 you see where I'm going with this?The issue wtarts here.When I double click an account (let's say the account at the first index) in ListBox2 it should be removed from the list, so now I remove the index from List2 since it's no longer needed, but now you know what's happened right? ListBox2's List indexes have all decremented by 1 because I just removed an item from the beginning of the list, but List2's indexes have stayed the same (at least that's how it appeared when I tested it).
So basically whats the best method for keeping things in reference? I was told about list boxes in another thread of mine, but is it really the best way to go about this, I can't seem to keep everything linked together reliably.

I want to make an numerical integration method with takes in an analytic function and integrate it over a specific interval. For the numerical integration procedure I want to use some procedures in nr.com. The problem is that these are programmed in C++ and they uses functors to pass a function to the integration method. How can I do this in VB 2010?
I want to initialize the function (i.e. set a=1,b=0 for function y(x)=a*x+b) and then pass the function to the integration method. Then when the integration method call the function it only calls the function with one parameter (i.e. x since a,b is already set)
What is the best way to do this in VB2010?I want to make a general integration method where I can pass any single valued function and integration limits.
I have just started using VB, and from what I have found so far it seems like the tools you have is
- to us a delegate for the function
- to use a lambda expression for the function
- send a pointer/adressOf
- to create a function class/structure and submit this to the function
As for now I am most inclined to create a function-class. But I am not really sure how.F.ex. I make different classes for each "uniqe function" I want to integrate, but how can I pass them to the integration function when I need to specify the argument type in the integration-function-call?This seems like a basic problem which applies to many Math operations, so I think it would be very useful to clarify this.

If you look at the XSD file you'll see that the element ID is supposed to mandatory in that I have set minoccurs to 1. However when I run the code this doesn't seem to be flagged as an error. Also I get 20 errors like Could not find schema information for the element Employees etc.

I'am using the NumericUpDown_Validating event to cancel mouse clicks on the up and down arrows of the control.The idea is that the NumericUpDown control will stop incrementing when the base of a form reaches the bottom of the screen. That works, however the textvalue keeps incrementing. Why does the text keep incrementing and how do I stop it?

I have a form that has a text box that I want to only allow users to enter a date and then a MessageBox.Show stating that their data was submitted when they press a submit button. I know that you can do this with a regular expression validation but I have no idea how to do this in Visual Basic. Can anyone offer how to do that?
