Creating A "clone" Of A Picture Box

We I am trying to make a "road" builder program for a class. The way I have been tackling this is by creating a forms application in using Visual Basic in VS 2008 where I have a combo box with 4 items in it: long road, short road, double lane, dead end. I also have a button that when pressed, loads the image associated with the item. Then I implemented a method that handles the click and drag function to place the image in the "world" panel where I am building my roads. I also added a rotate feature that flips the image about as I see fit.
Now, here is where my dilemma begins: I can only have one picture shown on screen at a time. This is because I don't know how to tell the program that once I let go of the image anywhere inside the panel, it becomes a part of the "world" and it
cannot be moved anymore. Then, when I click on the create button, it should allow me to generate a new image and so on and so forth.

I have some operations of Picture Boxes etc being performed. After the user finishes with the formatting, I want to give the user an option to print the work.But its the work is not done on the Rich Text Box but on picture boxes. I am not even sure, how many of the picture boxes would be there after the user finishes the job, since I have provided option for dynamically creating picture boxes as well.

heres my code i have it set up so when i press spacebar it should create and display a picture box my help is two parts one why is the picture box not displaying and how to i set it so that every time the space bar is pressed a picture box is created. The second part to that is how do i create a timer with that picture box that makes it move, i know how to make a picturebox move im just not sure how to do the for each statement to set a dynamic name and how to use the timer to affect it...

I'm building a simple game which involves many pictureboxes with which the player may collide. For instance, I'd have a hundred bricks spread throughout the level. In an old version of pacman I built in VB6 (and upgraded to .net), I implemented this like so: [Code]
As I understood, the brick(I) array exists thanks to the naming of the bricks, which ranges from _brick_0 to _brick_217 (as nowhere in the project a brick array is declared implicitly, at least not that I could find). I'd like to do the same in my current project, but even when I duplicate an existing brick it automatically renames it to "PictureBox123" instead of _ExistingName_NextID.
I saw a method of declaring a picturebox array and adding the bricks one by one, but since I have so many pictures this would best be avoided (especially due to the fact that not all pictures are bricks, so I cant just loop through every picture in the form). In short, my question is: How do I duplicate pictureboxes so that they'd be serialized in a way vb.net would interpret as a picturebox array? As you can see, i'm a really newbie to vb.net and wf in general, just started studying wf a couple days ago for my B.Sc and even that was accomplished with c#.

I'm a Visual Basic beginner. I want to replicate an existing Mac application that I have with Visual Studio 2010. As you see below, this application (Mac version)'s form has a folder picture at the center. That's a drop box onto which the user can drag and drop a folder, and the application will get its path and write it to a database when the user clicks on Add. Now, according to Microsoft's web site, the PictureBox control has a property called AllowDrop, which is what I need, except that I don't see it as you see below. If PictureBox doesn't have AllowDrop, then what will be my next best alternative to accept a file/folder while displaying a picture?

I need to create a vb.net program that consists of a unmovable, always on top bitmap, with no menu bar or anything, and does not show up in the task bar as program. It needs to always start in the same place.
Essentially I need to mask a part of the screen by using a bitmap that blends into the scenery.
I am not sure which properties I need to tweak to achieve all of this.

There is something that I do not understand the point of, and it has to do with ICloneable.
Take the simple example below:

No... For the life of me I cannot understand why anyone would want a Shallow copy of anything.... And... I do not understand why the Me.MemberwiseClone would not work with list and arrays....

I have a panel that is "drawn" on by passing: panel.CreateGraphics.GetHdc() into an api call
I was wondering how i can then clone what is now on that panel to another - i have tried: panel.DrawToBitmap and then painting the resulting image on the other panel - but this doesn't work
oh and also the panels may not be the same size ... so in this case the result would need to be "stretched" or "shrunk"

The following code loads a large 1 bit depth bitmap (10800x7226) on a PictureBox docked and with auto scroll bars.
After loading the bitmap I can drag the scrollbars, and it's very responsive.
After clicking the PictureBox and executing the Bitmap.Clone, dragging the scrollbars becomes very sluggish.[code]...

Are there other conditions that can cause this exception to be raised? I am attempting to use the method to take a section of the source bitmap in question (possibly equal to the entire source bitmap). I have checked my code extensively, including verifying the parameters of the Rectangle at runtime, and even tried hard-coding a Rectangle with parameters that I knew were within the bounds of the source bitmap, but have still received the error. I tried several choices for the PixelFormat as well.

I have an image that I need to shrink. The original image is a grayscale PNG, which isn't a huge issues except that when I shrink it down, the thermal label printers pickup the artifacts and print them on the label. So, what I did was change the image to black & white (Format1bppIndexed) before resizing, like this:

And then I resize it. This code works fine on my Windows 7 machine, but when I run it on the Windows 2003 Server box that it calls home, it always throws an OutOfMemoryException when it hits the bmp.Clone line.

Im getting a constraint error when running the following code. there are four fields set as the primary key on the table: bid number, phase number, phase version, detail number.
It errors out saying that bidno, phaseno, phaseversion are the keys and unique. it does not mention the detail number, but it will error out as soon as i run the line dtDest = dsbid.phasedetail.copy....or, if i use the clone (as in the example below), it errors as soon as i add the row.

I have a custom datagridviewcolumn in which i've added an event.The problem is, I can't work out how to see who has subscribed to the current column object's event and add those subscriptions to the cloned column object.
I get around this problem by asking the calling program to pass the address of the handler to a delegate in the custom column, instead of adding a handler to the event.

I been trying to made a clone of the vista contact program to use in a address/phonebook application im tryin yto make for learning purposes. I have or think I have it almost licked but it seems there is a few buggs that does not work right.
what i want it to do is as i type characters into the textboxes it will automatically at the same time fill another control like a label.text or textbox.text. but ultimally the combined data will be added to a combobox.in the vista new contact program it automatically updates the full name combobox in realtime as you type each letter in 3 different format.
