I fill the DGV by looping through a dataset and adding a DGV row for each datarow. After this the DGV.RowCount = DataSet.Rows.Count. Funny thing is that the DGV shows only a part of it (19 of 2448 in my example). After some testing I figured out that the rows show up if I change the Window size a bit.So now I use a work-around by including the following code after I've filled the DGV:[code]

If there are greater number of rows then after you change a value of trackbar you must wait for a few seconds for the datagridview to redraw and only then you can use trackbar again.Apparently I must use multithreading to achieve what I want: when I use trackbar, datagridview starts to redraw, but if I use trackbar again before datagridview finishes redrawing, it immediately stops redrawing according to previous trackbar value and starts to redraw from the beginning according to current trackbar value. That way trackbar will never be frozzen (stuck, unusable...).I tried with backgroundworker but got error "Cross-thread operation not valid: Control '' accessed from a thread other than the thread it was created on." I have old and slow computer. If you have new and fast computer maybe you wont experience what I'm describing here so try to increase number of added rows in line 'For i As Integer = 1 To 5000' (I added 5000 rows here) - and if you have even older and slower computer than you will have to decrease this value or you will have to wait to long after you drag the thumb in trackbar.

The remarked area works fine when I'm accessing a specific table. I've successfully inserted the products_model field into the combobox too. The datagridview does show the table names in the db using the SHOW TABLES sql statment, but I'm not understanding how to get this info into the combobox instead.

All I am attempting to do is allow the user to select products from a list(or a second datagridview) and have it added to the datagridview so they do not have to type in every cell since the other cells are not visible because they do not purtain to their needs. I have several problems with rows in a DataGridView. Background information: The DataGridView (DataGridViewCalib) is in one TabPage of a TabControl, some columns of the DataGridView are automatically DataGridViewCheckBoxColumn as the DataSource have some colums which are Boolean. This is a Windows Form written in VB.Net with Visual Studio 2008. The user loads an input data file.
The problems:
1) At first arrival in the TabPage, ShowDataGridViewCalib (code below) is called. All rows are then shown in the DataGridView, despite the code saying that some rows should not be visible. Breakpoints in the code show that the code do arrive at the Rows.Visible = False events. Despite all rows beeing shown a Watch in the debugger shows that:

My problem with AddNew. It really is somewhat simple, but I can't figure out the solution. I have a form where I show a list of my rows with a given a table. The user can then select a row and press clone, which then will try to make a copy of that row.

.... and continue to copy the rest of the data to the newrow...One of the items in the row is obviously a primary key called id. I can not copy this data since I am creating a new row. My problem is, how do I set that value!? or atleast retrieve the value for the newly added table. I need that value so that I can call another form to actually allow the user to modify this newly cloned data. I tried using EndEdit, UpdateAll, no worky. THen I thought I could assume that the newly added row would go at the end of the table so I used MovedLast then got the currentRow id from there... That worked well until we did some deletes within the table.

2) It seems as form is vibrating and lightning behind the panel when rows are hiding or showing(jerky motion of hiding or showing)

I am trying to create a viewer for files with large (sometimes over 2,000 characters) records. I want to use the rich text box control and show a given record in rows of 100 characters each. I have set the font to Courier New and sized the RTB appropriately to show the records correctly. However, if there is a record with 80 consecutive alpha characters followed by a space, then 120 consecutive alpha characters, the RTB separates the line at the space, as if there were a vbLF there. This happens in other cases, but I haven�t been able to figure out how the RTB decides when to break the line.

On a previous windows form a number is entered and passed to the function which populates the datagridview.
How do I add rows based on that number? So if 2 is entered two rows are added.
In the combobox's players name are added from a textfile.
