The remarked area works fine when I'm accessing a specific table. I've successfully inserted the products_model field into the combobox too. The datagridview does show the table names in the db using the SHOW TABLES sql statment, but I'm not understanding how to get this info into the combobox instead.
I fill the DGV by looping through a dataset and adding a DGV row for each datarow. After this the DGV.RowCount = DataSet.Rows.Count. Funny thing is that the DGV shows only a part of it (19 of 2448 in my example). After some testing I figured out that the rows show up if I change the Window size a bit.So now I use a work-around by including the following code after I've filled the DGV:[code]

I've using binding source filter to filter the data i see in the datagrid based on the value of the cell (this is in relation to the checkstate of a checkbox column), so far so good

My problem with AddNew. It really is somewhat simple, but I can't figure out the solution. I have a form where I show a list of my rows with a given a table. The user can then select a row and press clone, which then will try to make a copy of that row.
Here is a snippet:

.... and continue to copy the rest of the data to the newrow...One of the items in the row is obviously a primary key called id. I can not copy this data since I am creating a new row. My problem is, how do I set that value!? or atleast retrieve the value for the newly added table. I need that value so that I can call another form to actually allow the user to modify this newly cloned data. I tried using EndEdit, UpdateAll, no worky. THen I thought I could assume that the newly added row would go at the end of the table so I used MovedLast then got the currentRow id from there... That worked well until we did some deletes within the table.

But the issues are
1) It works very slow
2) It seems as form is vibrating and lightning behind the panel when rows are hiding or showing(jerky motion of hiding or showing)
I also used the control .visible property for each control of the row but it also make same problem of being slow
I need a help with showing/hiding rows in datagridview by setting the trackbar value. The below example works if there are not too much rows. If there are greater number of rows then after you change a value of trackbar you must wait for a few seconds for the datagridview to redraw and only then you can use trackbar again.Apparently I must use multithreading to achieve what I want: when I use trackbar, datagridview starts to redraw, but if I use trackbar again before datagridview finishes redrawing, it immediately stops redrawing according to previous trackbar value and starts to redraw from the beginning according to current trackbar value. That way trackbar will never be frozzen (stuck, unusable...).I tried with backgroundworker but got error "Cross-thread operation not valid: Control '' accessed from a thread other than the thread it was created on." I have old and slow computer. If you have new and fast computer maybe you wont experience what I'm describing here so try to increase number of added rows in line 'For i As Integer = 1 To 5000' (I added 5000 rows here) - and if you have even older and slower computer than you will have to decrease this value or you will have to wait to long after you drag the thumb in trackbar.

I want to use the rich text box control and show a given record in rows of 100 characters each. I have set the font to Courier New and sized the RTB appropriately to show the records correctly. However, if there is a record with 80 consecutive alpha characters followed by a space, then 120 consecutive alpha characters, the RTB separates the line at the space, as if there were a vbLF there. This happens in other cases, but I haven�t been able to figure out how the RTB decides when to break the line.

I am having an issue with the following code. It works when the data is all numeric such as 9200000 but not when the data is alpah numeric such as b101462 I am collecting data from a textbox into a string variable findacct and then using the variable in the sql statement. The data in the access database is char type.

I use in my Project the IfExistsTable function; in order to see the existence of a table.
For this purpose I use the Select statement as follows.

The reason I ask, is that there is a user in a different state who is using a tool, and he is getting some errors. He is getting an unhandled exception message. I can not seem to reproduce the error, and want to know where it is happening, other knowing that is has happened somewhere in the UpdateModelLists.
