Extract All Fields From Create Sql Statment Using .Net?

I am creating a windows application using VB.Net and this application will take a SQl create .sql file as a parameter and will return all fields and their data types inside in a list or array.
Example:
USE [MyDB] GO /****** Object: Table [dbo].[User] Script Date: 07/07/2009 10:16:48 ******/
SET
ANSI_NULLS ON GO
[code]....
Should Return:
UserId int, FirstName string, MiddleName string
I want to do this by any way, pure vb.net code or using RegEx.

I'm trying to create a table in Word using data from a table in Access. There are four fields in the access table that I need. 3 fields are text which I can populate the Word without any issues. However the fourth field is a memo with >255 characters.I'm struggling to come up with the proper code to allow me to populate the Word field with the memo data that has more than 255 characters. The code I have so far is listed below. But when it hits the memo field, it crashes on the line I marked with **. I have this sql statement:

What I want is regex code which I can use to get all fields and data type. So will return something like that:
FirstName varchar
MiddleName varchar
The sql statement will always have this format. I am using .Net to run this regex

I have used VB (versions 2 - 6) through many years; however, I am crash-course training myself into the VB2008 / VB2010 world kicking a screaming. I would like suggestions as to what SQL database access method should I focus more on in my learning process without making me feel that I'm a million years behind. I know I have WinForms where I can create a datasourse and drag / drop fields or tables on a form to create a grid (not really what I'm looking for).
My trouble isn't so much designing the form but in how I access the database. Theres XML, LINQ to SQL, ADO.NET, and many other methods. Not only do I need to grasp these methods quickly but I also need to know what type of projects I should create. What I mean is...I was thinking that I would design a WinForm app; however, I see that there are WPF apps and others to chose from. This is getting deep. I know it depends on the project that I'm working on. My plans are to write an app based off of either an SQL Express 2008 or SQL Server 2008 database. This first app will be standalone for now but may later become multi-user. I know I'm far behind on my learning curve coming from VB6. I have read a bit on VB2005 / 2008 / 2010. I own
both VB2008 and VB2010. I use VB2008 at work. I know ADO.NET is still alive but by what I read online, it's a dying method and is only kept for backward compatibility. XML and LINQ to SQL and other methods are all pretty new to me.

I'm trying to create a function to extract the filename and number from saved files where the filename and number is not known before hand. I successfully created this example but the file name in the example is hardcoded. My program creates backup files and numbers them starting a one. I want to extract the saved files and list them in a treelist by filename only.ie.. unknown filename 1, backup 1, saved file 1, saved file 2, here is what i have but it only retrieves the hardcoded filename.

I have an SQL statement which i need to code in vb:

Notice the fields prodno1 and prodno2 in the table structure.. this is part of a number of sql statements i need to run and put inside a loop. my problem is i want to automatically use this same code such that on the next loop, this sql statement is going to be:

Note that in this "2nd loop"
- the table name is now r3 from r2 in the first SQL statement
- there are now prodno1, prodno2 and prodno3 instead of just prodno1 and prodno2
- in the WHERE clause, the p.prodNo becomes p.prodNo2
And so on and so forth.. so for the 3rd loop
- there's going to be r4
- there's going to be prodno4
- in the WHERE clause i will use p.prodNo3

3 if I = first row do not subtract one from row index

I am having an issue with the following code. It works when the data is all numeric such as 9200000 but not when the data is alpah numeric such as b101462 I am collecting data from a textbox into a string variable findacct and then using the variable in the sql statement. The data in the access database is char type.

I use in my Project the IfExistsTable function; in order to see the existence of a table.
For this purpose I use the Select statement as follows.
MASQLComm = New SqlCommand("SELECT COUNT(*) AS [RecCount] From sys.tables WHERE name Like '%" & tName & "%'", SQLConn)
RecCount = CInt(MASQLComm.ExecuteScalar)
After that I take the number which returned in RecCount. Until now the numbers was 1 and 0
And so I was turn the numbers in True or False.Now suddenly the returned number is 2 which I can't understand what it means.

I am trying to create a form which will be fed by an underlying database to create multiple form fields for each entry in an underlying database table. This is for a program to monitor patients under anesthesia, and prior to surgery, the doctor will choose which monitors they will be using. Then, on the actual monitor screen which will pop up every X minutes, there will be a text box and a check box for each chosen monitor. I am relatively new to VB, so I have tried to illustrate what I am needing but using the logic that I know from my previous life in PHP.
I am using DevExpress's layout control to place the form fields, so that is the code in the middle of the first loop (on_load), and I know that part works, I just need to know how to name the fields and then recover those fields and commit the values to the database. (the text boxes are added to the database, the check boxes are used to determine if an entry is made for that monitor- i.e. at the end of surgery if a monitor is turned off). I know that my syntax for naming the fields is no where close to correct, and it probably would not work in PHP, but I remember doing something like this in a PHP application I built long ago. [Code]

I'm currently refactoring an old Visual Basic DLL (VB.Net), which stores all of its data in one module called Globaldefinitions as public fields. There are about 200 fields, referenced thousands of times all around the code:

I need to change the module into a class with non-shared fields. This means, each and every of these thousands of references needs to reference the instance of that class:
globalDefinitionsInstance.a = 5
How do I go about this efficiently?
Regular expressions operating on the source fall flat. Refactoring tools like Re-Sharper or CodeRush don't seem to offer this functionality. Visual Studio 2010 cannot do it automatically either.

It seems fields are initialized in the same order as they appear in the source code, which (a) leads to an unexpected result, and (b) seems a little puzzling, given that one is normally not permitted to read from uninitialized variables in .NET, yet that seems to be working fine above.I would've expected VB.NET to be smart enough to initialize referenced fields first, and only then those that reference it; i.e. I'd have liked to see this output instead:
Independent created. Dependent upon nothing.
Dependent created. Dependent upon Independent.
how to get VB.NET to behave like that instead, without simply having to swap the declaration order of dependent and independent inside class Bar?
