In the main form I have a menu item to open my frmUserType, In this form I have a button to open another form which is my frmCreateUserType, In this form I have a button to add records then update the listview in frmUserType. The problem is the listview will not access with my add button control in frmCreateUserType. I tried not to used mdiparent declaration for my frmMain and frmUserType as children and it works, so meaning that the problem is showing my frmUserType as childform?I am using vb.net 2008

May 6, 2009How do you disable additional checkbox selections/deselections without sacrificing the functionality of the ListView? I know you can call: ListView.Enabled = False, but that also disables any scrolling within it.
For example: I have a timer that starts a backup based on the Listview items that are checked. After a certain time, I don't want the end-user to be able to click on any of the checkboxes within the listview (so I have a set number of items to backup), but I do want them to be able to scroll the list while the backup is being performed. Asp.net - Repeater Button CommandArgument Is Empty String?
Apr 26, 2011My button gets a commandargument of empty string even though the commandargument gets set. I have verified it gets set to the correct ID in debug mode, but then when I go to access this commandargument later in the repeaters ItemCommand event the commandarguments are empty string. And I have no idea why. I end up getting a sq foreign key exception because it is inserting an ID of 0 from the empty string values. There is no other code regarding the repeaters buttons that would be resetting it.

Oct 19, 2010I have a calculator like program which has a function to export a string ('StringBuild') to notepad .The process start OK but it has a funny problem. When I run Process.Start it also keept running a sub that I had linked to one of the calculator buttons.I played around with the code but now it runs a hyperlink that I have on the calculator. I even tried adding an empty, hidden, button as the last item on the tabindex to see if that would work but it hasn't.

Databound Radio Button Class When Database Table Empty
Apr 13, 2009The problem I have is that many times, the dataset that this control is bound to is empty. Therefore, the user continuously gets an error saying that one or more fields is missing. When I debug the code, I can see the code in the class loop through all of the radio button controls on the form. Since none of them match the field from the database, the code throws the error. I assume the code expects a match.
Should I modify the class to handle the case when there is a DBNull value? If so, what would be the best method? Or should I approach this situation in a completely different manner?
