Display Search Result On TextBox/ComboBox And Implement Edit/Next/Previous/Delete?

In my form, I have textbox + combobox to enter datas which are saved to ms access. I have search option too. Also i have DataGrid to show the result of the search. What I want now is, 1. To show the search result in the textbox/combox as well (I already am able to make the result show on datagrid)2. When there are multiple result showing on DataGrid, if i click on a particular result on DataGrid, let the textbox/combobox automatically loads the details of the one i clicked.
I'm trying to do the following: Store items from ComboBox in My.Settings (datatype doesn't matter). Retrieve these items to populate a ComboBox on formload. Also display these items (1 item per line) in TextBox, where I can edit and save the edits to both My.Settings and the ComboBox.
I have an officecharge textbox in which I specify how much I'm charging the customer for a specific service. If the user changes the officecharge value for that customer I would like to keep track of the previous value to then compare
it to the new value to then set a boolean variable true or false accordingly. I would like to fire/trigger this segment of code everytime the user leaves the OfficeChargeTextBox (after it loses focus) so that it can compare the final value entered with the previous value and then decide what to do based on whatever login.applies from that point forward.[code...]
On my add button i still have to add codes that disables my navigation buttons and and my search button... and add codes that will enable them in save button... im still new thats why my codes are just simple if, else if, else conditions that just manipulates enable, visible, text, properties..also if i search my data will be search but my textboxes only shows the searched data.. i still have to add button that will only be visible if the program finds a data... and this button function is to remove the filter..rather than disabling some functions i want a messagebox to prompt the user that this functions arent functionable...
Look at my codes... i find it lame... its kinda irritating always just using True and false..

I have a project from college. The project is for a car company showing how much the customer will be required to pay back monthly on the amount of finance they take out. I need to search to edit and delete customers so for example I want the program to say something like " Name of the customer you'd like to delete/edit" then the response would be the name "Mark". i am trying to make a search form with 1 label(surname) and textbox. i have 1 gridview on the form aswell. can you plz provide me any code so that when i type in textbox i should c the result in the gridview. wat i have done right now is. i have added data source and i than dragged the dataset.but when i load the form i already can see the data loaded on grid view .it than filters depending on the textbox. i want this gridview to be empty when it gets loaded.
I've created a form which correctly displays all my fields in a recordset. I can scroll through them, add new records, delete records, etc. etc. and everything is fine. I now want to add a Search field to the form so that when the user enters a search string, it automatically searches through the dataset and refreshes the display to display the appropriate search result (i.e. populates the currently open form with the appropriate record).I have a simple database, and I have created a form (not a datagrid) for displaying the records (and to make it easy to add new records and browse through with the next and precious record buttons). BUT, to put a simple textbox on the toolstrip and enable the user to write something in it and then click a button to display the entire record containing that "something" seems imposible.
I have eleven columns in my table, and I want to search the one with the Primary Key, so there will be no confusing wich record to display.

I have set up text boxes for user to pick a number 1-20 and to enter a word as well. Then, press submit button. What's supposed to display in result textbox is the word that many number of times. For example if the number is 5 and the word is hello, then "hellohellohellohellohello" should appear. I don't know how to complete my For...Next function to append the word to the result.

im a newbie, just want to learn vb.net (2010) wel im working on a vb2010 and msaccess2003 i wanted to search ms access data using a combobox and a textbox. i had several columns on ms access like emp_id , last name, first name, position, etc. every item name is already set on the combobox so my code is here for the search button
I would like some info on how to do a procedure. In my program when a user hits the Edit Command button I would like for the program to display a popup Textbox where he/she can input data and store it. Then the data will be linked to the comments box, once the user hits the save button. Also the popup textbox disappears after the user is done entering the data.

I am currently having a headache on how to solve this problem that i am facing. here is the situation: I have a combobox and a list box on the main form. The combobox will get the data from the ms access database. In the database, i have the details of a person's IC, Name and DOB say for eg on one entry I have D215311523C,SHAWN,13/04/1987 So now, my combobox on form load will show the list of dates in the database to allow the user to search base on the date itself by clicking on the selected date. So when the user clicks on the particular date say 13/04/1987, people in the database whose birthday is 13/04/1987 will be shown on the listbox.Meaning to say if i have 3 entries whose dates are the same 13/04/1987, 3 entries will appear. If there is only two entry, then two results will be shown. But now, when i do a single click on the date, one result will be shown. That is correct. But the problem is when i click on the same date again, three of the same results will be shown on the list box. that is it will display : 13/04/1987 13/04/1987 13/04/1987 which is not the case. Then it will show more duplicates of the same results if i click more times on the same date which should not be the case.

How can i display search results on textbox etc. like i have wrote code for searching and then it selects values as per search but later how can i display those values on textbox , i have no any idea about how to do this, i usualy use databinding but in this case i dont think i can use databinding
I have a search textbox in my form. I also have, textboxes for computer name, mouse serial number, monitor serial number and phone number. While in my database, they are all reside in one table named tblComputerAsset. I am using Access for my Database.
