View 2 RepliesIs there a way to get Visual.net to display the sound coming in the microphone as a graph on the screen? for example it would show the frequency and intensity of the waves.
View 2 RepliesI was just thinking if there is any component which monitors sound output. My intention is to recognize a particular sound coming out from my soundcard. I know its an issue about the driver of my sound card but is there a way I can get atleast noise level coming out of my speakers and maybe draw a graph and detect the peak at when the sound is played?
View 7 RepliesIn our company we are using PHP to display graph from statistics in SQL over webpage. So anywhere just access the website and input the date will display statistics over the webpage of the company.
My question now is, will VB.net can do that to link SQL and display it over the webpage? Or do I need to have special software to use?
If VB.net can do it? Is there any tutorial link you can recommend for me? Video link much better.
I"m having a bit of trouble getting my pie graph to work. I'm not too sure if I should be posting here, but it's about vb so I thought it would sort of fit. I've used the chart control from the toolbox, and dragged one of those across to use. I can't get more than one item to display in the chart.

I am wondering how one would go about using the graph control to display a bar graph that shows trends from my database. They are rather easy trends. I am building an industrial issue tracker and I would like for it to show how many issues were submitted each month for the last 6 months and also how many issues in the last month were of certain types that are categorized in my database.
View 1 RepliesIs it possible to fix a web browser to a certain spot? Example, i want it to display the graph in this link, and only that graph, nothing else. Is there a different way i can do this? View 10 Repliesif there's a way to just display the latest Symbol when drawing a graph. My app displays "real time" data from a pointPairlist and I want one graph just to be a + mark with no trace.
Dim myCurve As LineItem = m_graphPane.AddCurve("", m_pointsList, Color.Red, SymbolType.Plus)
This will show a red line with a + with every pointpair, I just want to display the latest pointpair, as an +.
I have used MSChart control and created line graph. when i move my mouse over the graph, i want to display X-axis value and Y-axis value in another label above the graph.
View 2 Repliesi have recently installed Visual Studio 2010 Professional and I am currently coding in VB. I am trying to display a bar graph (pulling from MS SQL database) for certain criteria, but I do not have a "Chart" option in my Toolbox section. I have a licensed software and do not know why the "Chart" option is not present.

View 1 RepliesI am developing an application with multiple picture boxes, each displaying a line graph. I want to be able to have a label following the mousepointer showing xy coordinates of the point. I also want to allow a user to zoom in on a specific picture box by double clicking on it. The code does what I want as written (changes backcolor so I know double click event fires) except moving the position of the label to follow the mouse pointer.
However if if uncomment the line in the MouseMoved sub:
LB.Location = New Point(e.X, e.Y)
Then the label moves as desired however the double click event no longer fires.
Public Class Form1
Dim PB As New PictureBox, LB As New Label
Private Sub Form1_Load(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles MyBase.Load
Me.Controls.Add(PB)

I have a CSV file in my working directory and dont know how to load in into a graph in VB. I already loaded my chart into the form and its called "Chart1" with "Series1".
The CSV has the following structure:
Date Value1 Value2
27/04/2012 45.1 60.1
26/04/2012 45.2 60.2
.. ..
how to extract this data from the "*.csv" file and put in it a graph where the Date is the x axis and the Value2 is the y axis.

View 8 RepliesI'm ready to start adding sound to a 3D game and I'm looking for a decent Free library.it would not require DX and be something like:
dim MySound as SoundLib.Sound
MySound = SoundLib.LoadSound("soundfile.wav")
SoundLib.Play3DWorld(Location.X, Location.Y, Location.Z, VolumeModifier, MySound)so far all Im finding is expensive, C#, old, or not .NET compatible.
How can i use zed graph web to graph a dataset or datatable, the only examples i have found use test data.

View 1 RepliesI'm creating an application that will have 3 streams of audio. I can get 2 streams playing easy enough using DirectX AudioVideoPlayback and setting the balance for each Audio Instance. However, I need a 3rd Audio instance to play out of another output such as the Rear or Centre. An alternative would be to be able to select a different sound device in the machine to play the 3rd audio stream.

For stopping by, is there a way to detect when a sound file (WAV) stops playing?
e.g.> There is a FORM with a PLAY button on which is coded to play a WAV file. But how does VB detect when the WAV file has finished playing?
Here is the code I have on the PLAY button
My.Computer.Audio.Play("test.wav", AudioPlayMode.BackgroundLoop)

I need to get the decibel level of sound being sent to the sound card (not the actual sound level the speakers are instructed to emit via volume level)There is next to no information i can find on the net to even access sound data. Could anyone point me in a direction for this? The OS will be vista/7.

I've tried a few alternative libs such as DirectShow.Net, DirectSound, BASS.Net, QuickTime and OpenTK.Some of them do what I need to do, but they are either too difficult to use and therefore impractical or they are missing some other essential features such as Events which are required to make the rest of the application work. Would anyone oppose to me posting this same thread on other forums?I will of course post a solution if one is found elsewhere without advertising external websites.
View 4 RepliesI have a directory containing list of files.
Those files have some list of values as x and y ordered as line by line.
And my question is just I would like to read those files one by one and to plot line graphs based on those values.
I need to be able to take an MP3 or WAV file and plot a graph of its waveform over time. Prefferably without playing it first. The representation doesn't have to be amazingly accurate as it's not for EQ purposes. I just need to pinpoint certain points in the MP3 / WAV when specific music / sounds etc occur (similar to the display in Windows Sound Recorder).
how I can go about that, or if it's even possible in VB 2005?
Is there a way to draw a graph in real time. The excel file has one column with the time in sec.(x) and the other column is data(y). The examples with charts I've seen is about converting to a picture, then paste it to a picturebox.

Im developing a simple alarm clock application for smart device application. Can anyone help me on how to link a sound file to the app..that is to play the sound when the alarm is triggered?
View 1 RepliesI have a data source that creates a continuous stream of 24-bit samples. I can collect a set of samples and build a .WAV file, and play the file through my speakers. What I want to do is eliminate the middleman, and send the stream of samples directly to the sound card. The data source can run for hours or days. I want to hear it in real time, rather than collect it all and listen to it after the fact. The idea is that I can tune the process that creates the data better if I can hear what it's doing.
