I am wondering how one would go about using the graph control to display a bar graph that shows trends from my database. They are rather easy trends. I am building an industrial issue tracker and I would like for it to show how many issues were submitted each month for the last 6 months and also how many issues in the last month were of certain types that are categorized in my database.
I created Dataentry forms. In the form there are so many controls like DropDowns and textboxes. I am using Access database. Now I enterd the few records into the controls, and these records are saved into the Database. But now if i enter the any data which i recently saved in the database to the textbox or any other control then the remaining controls should be display the related data.
For example i have 4 controls in my form one is dropdown and 3 are textboxes. If i select the data in the dropdown then the remaining 3 textboxes shows the related data. How can i dispaly the corresponding data to the other controls?
In our company we are using PHP to display graph from statistics in SQL over webpage. So anywhere just access the website and input the date will display statistics over the webpage of the company.
My question now is, will VB.net can do that to link SQL and display it over the webpage? Or do I need to have special software to use?
If VB.net can do it? Is there any tutorial link you can recommend for me? Video link much better.
I"m having a bit of trouble getting my pie graph to work. I'm not too sure if I should be posting here, but it's about vb so I thought it would sort of fit. I've used the chart control from the toolbox, and dragged one of those across to use. I can't get more than one item to display in the chart.
Is it possible to fix a web browser to a certain spot? Example, i want it to display the graph in this link, and only that graph, nothing else. Is there a different way i can do this? [URL] Also, the users will be searching items to display that items given graph, it;s not the same every time.
if there's a way to just display the latest Symbol when drawing a graph. My app displays "real time" data from a pointPairlist and I want one graph just to be a + mark with no trace.
Dim myCurve As LineItem = m_graphPane.AddCurve("", m_pointsList, Color.Red, SymbolType.Plus)
This will show a red line with a + with every pointpair, I just want to display the latest pointpair, as an +.
I have used MSChart control and created line graph. when i move my mouse over the graph, i want to display X-axis value and Y-axis value in another label above the graph.
Is there a way to get Visual.net to display the sound coming in the microphone as a graph on the screen? for example it would show the frequency and intensity of the waves.
i have recently installed Visual Studio 2010 Professional and I am currently coding in VB. I am trying to display a bar graph (pulling from MS SQL database) for certain criteria, but I do not have a "Chart" option in my Toolbox section. I have a licensed software and do not know why the "Chart" option is not present.
I'm using the chart control that's built in to Visual Basic 2010.NET Service Pack 4.
I am creating a basic date time graph with time on the axis and, at the minute, random points between -20 and positive 20 on the y axis. At the minute I can set everything up perfectly. The only problem is that the label on the x axis is not a time, it's a number. To be precise, it's the XLabelInterval value. This value is a double, so the label on the x axis is also a double not a time. But that's only interval I am setting. I think, by default, because I am not setting any labels, it is just using that value as the label as well.[code]...
I'm just trying to create a graph where the user can input data into textboxes and then plot the data. I am attempting to use Zedgraph, but open to other suggestions. The program below creates a plot, but it won't update when the textboxes are updated.
Imports ZedGraph Public Class Form1 Private Sub Form1_Load(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles MyBase.Load
I am developing an application with multiple picture boxes, each displaying a line graph. I want to be able to have a label following the mousepointer showing xy coordinates of the point. I also want to allow a user to zoom in on a specific picture box by double clicking on it. The code does what I want as written (changes backcolor so I know double click event fires) except moving the position of the label to follow the mouse pointer.
However if if uncomment the line in the MouseMoved sub: LB.Location = New Point(e.X, e.Y) Then the label moves as desired however the double click event no longer fires.
Public Class Form1 Dim PB As New PictureBox, LB As New Label Private Sub Form1_Load(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles MyBase.Load Me.Controls.Add(PB) With PB [Code] .....
I am having problem with datagridview. Actually I have created datagridview control used to display the data using sqldatareader. My problem is that How can I fill the data in textbox control when user selects the row in datagridview using coding. For e.g. my form is having a) Datagridview and displaying values of columns: Name, Address, City, State etc and textboxes: txt1, txt2, txt3, txt4. Now if the user selects any row from datagridview the selected value of Name is filled with txt1, address is with txt2, city with txt3, state with txt4. I am directly dealing with database with using DataAdapter.
I am having trouble in allowing the user to select the row in the datagridview.
I managed to include the checkbox column in the datagridview but i do not know how to wrte the code such that when the user wants to update or edit the data in the checked row, he just have to check the affected rows checkbox, can be one or many, and then click on ok button, which will then lead him to the data updater form, allowing him to update the data.
Currently i have the below code which can populate the checkboxclumn only.
I'd like to use a TreeView control to display database data in a windows form with VB2008. All the information what I found is related to a website design, but I'm working on a database program (sql2005), where I'd like the user to see the structure what he/she make up with a TreeView like control. Just something like that when you explore your hard disk. How can I do that?
I've got a bar chart on my form which when I click a button, it populates with some data showing the clients net position, which is their assets vs their liabilities. This is shown on a year-by-year basis, so the graph will go up or down accordingly. If the graph goes into negative, or is negative at any stage, I would like it to turn red, and leave the positive values green. I have no idea how to do this, or even where to start looking into the properties. I'm still new to using the charts. How can I make the x-axis labels in increments of 5 from 0, instead of increments of 5 from -1?
I have an VB.net application in which I have imported the MSchart control 6.0. It draws all the bars in the same colour. I want to have each bar in different colour. I want bars of the same series to be so. There is only one series of data.
I've been asked by a local window cleaner to design a small utility that can display a grid of customer data, sort them, and then export it out as a formatted .txt or rtf file.
I am using Visual basic express 2010. I have a set of data in a text file and I want to read that text file into the visual basic and create a chart. I am able to import the data into visual basic but I don't know how to use that data and create a 2d line graph from that data. [code]What I want to do in visual basic is create a chart like the chart created by microsoft excel.
I need to quickly demonstrate a project and decided to create a user control that is connected to an Access database through pure simple data connections (create the dataset and drag it on the control.)When I build the project and add the usercontrol to panel control on the main form, no data is shown in the datagrid. When I add the data components directly on the main form, the data is displayed properly. why I can't get my databound user control to display the data on my main form?
This control takes in an array and plots a bar chart type 'count' along the Y axis for a corresponding X location. A user has requested to be able to mouse hover over any location on the graph and have it display the X and Y coordinates.
Option Strict On Option Explicit On Imports System.Windows.Forms
I have created a function to create a string to populate a y axis with data:
Function talktosql() As Double Dim ConnString As String = "Data Source=MARK-WORKMSSMLBIZ;Initial Catalog=Yahoo_data;Integrated Security=True" Dim SQLString As String = "SELECT [RDSA.L] FROM yahoo_data.dbo.XLON" Dim SqlDataAdapter1 As New SqlDataAdapter(SQLString, ConnString)
[code]....
so it should for example come out like this:
Dim yValues As Double() = {55.62, 45.54, 73.45, 9.73, 88.42, 45.9, 63.6, 85.1, 67.2, 23.6}
I cannot seem to get the data from the function into the right format to populate "yvalues".(the msgbox that I put in at the end in the first code renders the result "0")
I would like to use a treeview control to display related data as Folders(Level0), Projects(Level1), Drawings(Level2). So far I don't have a problem reading data from a database, creating classes to hold the data and displaying the tree from the class data. I have created (3) contect menu strips, one for each level of the tree to perform various tasks. Each menu has an ADD option to either add a folder, add a project or add a drawing. My problem is as follows...After I add the node, in the correct location, I would like to have it set in the BeginEdit mode.
Dim oNode As New TreeNode oNode = TreeView1.SelectedNode.Nodes.Add(sNextID, "New Project") oNode.ImageIndex = 1 TreeView1.Refresh()
[code]....
After this code runs, the node.Text changes back to "New Project". As you can see, I added a few debug.print statements to try to see what is going on. It really blew my mind to see that the entire tree printed in the immediate window.I have already created a work around for this, but is isn't really the way I'd like to see the program run.
This isnt the first time i have posted about a graph, last time i was posting about which way i should do it, now that i have created the graph (by drawing individual lines) i was wondering what the easiest way to actually get data from a SQL database and output it as a line on a graph. here is a picture of what the graph looks like (bottom of the page) [URL]
I am trying to plot a set of data using a function I have defined as an array: Private Sub calculate_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles calculate.Click range(1) = min.Text For i = 2 To 100 [Code] ..... Range(i) I want to be my x values and fee(i) to be the y values. When I try to select range() and fee() as the x and y values for a series, I get an error because they are not of type double.
