Displaying Data In Grid View Page By Page?

I have more than 30,000 rows in a table. It takes a lot of time to load all the data in the gridview. So I want to display 100 rows at a time. When I click next page button, another 100 rows should be displayed. When I click previous page button, previous 100 rows should be displayed. If I type page 5 in a text box, then I want to jump over to the 5th lot of rows.
I also want to display how many pages there will be. Can we implement this concept in vb.net [winform] gridview. I am using database PostgreSQL.

I have written an application which extracts a list of URL's (currently in Internet Explorer cache) from an XML file and displays them in a data grid view. From here i would like to launch Internet Explorer in a hidden mode and capture an image for each of the selected URL's in the data grid view. Is this possbile? If so what is the best way to go about it?

So i've been working on a page for a project where the person logs into a login page and then can see a list from the database of employees. everything is working except for one problem. If someone puts in a username and password, username= a and password=b, for example it still allows that individual to view the next page and doesn't throw the error that i have enbedded on the login page to say sorry you have the incorrect password/username. I am creating a notes software. This is just a simple application that will show the data from the database which are Notes_Title, Due_Date, Priority. I display the data with datagridview. I also added a checkbox for each row to the datagridview to mark as check if the Notes_title is already done. In displaying the data, I need to display only a 5 data in a row.So, I create a another CLASS that will only show 5 rows per page. But the PROBLEM is, if I mark the checkbox as check in the first page then if I turn it to the next page the checkbox in the first page that mark as check will be uncheck if I turn it back to the first page. The mark check in the checkbox will mark as uncheck if I turn the page. How can I make it mark as check even if I turn the pages? And How can I save the data row as done if I check

I have a master page which contains everything that inherits it within a form. A page inheriting from it needs to run some javascript to act on a text field on a page. However, I can't seem to reference that text field through the javascript, since the form begins on the master page. The following line will come up bogus: document.form1.txtFindUser.value = blah.responseText; This is because form1 is defined on the master page, while txtFindUser is on the current page.

Does anyone know why a Page_Load would be called twice on a page when requesting an aspx page?I am using .Net 2.0 with the new .net 1.1 compilation model installed. Whenever I request a page, the Page_Load on the aspx page appears to be called twice, so does the Page_Load on and user controls added to that page.

The thing is i have a Master page and a Content Page. I have a LoadComplete in Content Page and a PreRender in Master Page. The problem is one of my htmlcontrols on content page i change on the LoadComplete event server side of the content page. I also have some code for disabling controls on the Master Page PreRender event. For some reason all controls on the aspx side go through the Master Page prerender except the ones that i change on the LoadComplete side. How can i make sure the entire content page loads and then the Master Page PreRender event is called, making all the controls go through that event.

This is a VB .NET application where we are showing the output of a SQL statement in a Datagrid view. using .NET 2005.We need to get the seperators of the headers on the grid control to be the same colors as the GridColor on the form. See the picture below:We've tried looking through all of the properties of the DataGridView control, and found some interesting things that looked promising such as the DataGridViewAdvancedHeaderStyle, and DataGridViewHeaderBorderStyle, but none of it seems to allow you to change the colors on it.Does anyone know how to do this without remaking the entire thing with a GDI+ control?

i have datagridview populated with stock code, name and description.And i have docked my datagridview to the bottom. so whenever the form is resized, the bottom section will be occupied completely with the datagridview.But i want to display one extra empty column and multiple empty rows to completely fill in the datagridview.The extra empty column width will be adjusted to the right end side of datagridview.And the no of empty rows will be generated based on how many is required to fill up to the bottomSo that i can create datagridview with full column and row even though some columns or rows are empty.

I'm trying to page and sort my DataGrid which is inside a ModalPopupExtender but I can't page it in any way, already tried with <Triggers>, put the UpdatePanel inside, outside, in the middle, and it does NOT work. Modal popup does not get closed but the grid just disappears. Code:

I am generating a grid view having column with images. I want each image to print on stock paper: Marco ITEM #A-6LI (3inch by 4inch Inserts page) using printer. What setting and code should I write? Also I want to see the print preview. i am using VB.Net, and on pop up some grid is displayed having one column with format for each user this is repeated on the whole page of pop up, but i want each of set to print on the page i mentioned above. I am just making the switch from WebForms to MVC and would like to ask what are the best ways of hiding particular fields in the view. Assuming we have a model named WishList that has a list of gifts kids want for Christmas and the child's name. We want the elves to view the list of gifts, but only Santa Claus can view the child's name. Would it be best to have two views for the WishList (one for Santa and one for the elves) or is there another way to handle this? My concern is that the number of views can start piling as high as the snow does in the North Pole by the time I enforce all of the visibility settings required in my application.

Under Options/HTML Designer/General There is the option of starting pages in either Source View or Design view. I'm now doing Windows Forms and when I open a vb page it is usually to do something to the code. I would like the page tp open in Source View but cant find a similar option for Windows Form Designer.
