In VB.NET, windows form has the Checkbox as first control and when form loads focus has to be set to the checkbox and display the dotted rectangle over the checkbox as shown below in screen shot.
Im trying to display a value in a textbox when a checkbox is checked. My amount displays but not until I hit the calculate button, and I need it to display as soon as it is checked.
Option Explicit On Option Strict On Option Infer Off
this gonna sound like a really basic problem but would some1 be able to tell how me to get a checkbox selection to be displayed as a peice of a text in a listbox or a text box.
I would like to develop a VB.net application that includes VB.net datagrid displaying records with Checkbox in the grid operation. Also would like to learn, available datagridview options/events for more friendly programing with VB.Net datagrid.
Given a rectangle of width w and height h. and a coordinate x,y in that rectangle I would like to identify which triangle I am within.
i.e. the function should take parameters(x,y) and return a,b,c,d or a zero based number representing that triangle index i.e. (0=A,1=B,2=C,3=D) if they are in that order.
I think this would be something like >= the formula of the red line and >= the formula of the green line?
I have a problem drawing dotted path lines, with evenly spaced dots: I want to be able to draw evenly spaced dots along a path line using points in an array, My issue is not with drawing the path line, with dotted lines, this is easy, but with the spacing of the dots at the start and end of the path line.
In the example I have created, I create a square with 4 points and draw a dotted path. The path starts at the top left corner and finishes back at the top left corner, the dots are evenly placed along the path, except the final dots at the end of the path. (Sometimes the dots are even and other times they are not even). The shapes I want to draw can be any size and any shape, but I have used a square in this example to show the problem I have.I have also attached two pictures showing the dotted path line, 1 with even spaced dots at the start / End and another showing the problem I want to resolve, with not evenly spaced dots at the start / end.The only difference between the two is the point values.
I'M creating a kind of photo viewer, and I cannot figure out how to orient the scroll buttons with the photos I want to draw because they all are different sizes. This is really hard to explain so please ask questions if you don't understand.I'M thinking if i could draw every photo on a single rectangle and then the scroll bars will position that rectangle up or down. but is there a way to make a rectangle inside another one so it only shows inside that rectangle?
I am building an application where on a form is a datagridview and textboxes. The dgv and tb are bound to the same table. I am using the dgv to have an overview of the records and the tb I use for editing. Selecting a record programmatically in the dgv is no problem, but the textboxes have to be filled with the same record. Here I have added my code to this far.
If OuderID <> 0 Then 'select the row For i As Integer = 0 To dgvOuders.RowCount - 1 If dgvOuders.Rows(i).Cells(0).Value = OuderID Then
[CODE]...
I am stuck right now. I want to add (on the dotted line) an performclick action, but a dgv doesn't have a performclick action.
Problem drawing dotted path lines, with even dots along the path line.I want to draw a path line that can be any shape (square, round, outline etc), and along this path line I want even dots to appear.
I also want to be able to resize the shape (as in the example attached)This is very easy to do using "DrawPath" and defining points for the path and using a pen defined as dots. The problem I have is I want the dots to be evenly placed along the path, on any shape or size I draw.In the example I have created, I create a square with 4 points and draw a dotted path. There are 2 buttons that allows me to resize the square (larger or smaller) this helps show the problem more clearly.

In the pictures below if you change the size of the shape, one will have even looking dots, the other will not.

I have a ListView with Checkboxes in vb.net and what I want to do is when the user check the checkbox, the program ignore the response of the user in checking the checkbox, instead it leaves the checkbox uncheck.
I am creating an Interactive map which displays the facilities when the user clicks on the Checkbox, such as toilets. It will display all the toilet locations via PictureBoxes.I want to do this without having to write all this code?[code].....

I have some DataGridView code written in vb.net. (Nothing is attached to a datasource.)The 4th column is a checkbox cell. How do I detect if that checkBox is checked or unchecked? This code strangely reports TRUE or FALSE at random times. It even turns ON the checkbox in rows other than the row I clicked in. (Huh?)
Private Sub DataGridView1_CellContentClick(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.Windows.Forms.DataGridViewCellEventArgs) Handles DataGridView1.CellContentClick Dim whichGrid As DataGridView = CType(sender, DataGridView)

I've tried countless other methods... none seem to actually get the checkbox ON/OFF value in vb.net.
I've got a form with parent-child setup. The parent displays name and other demographic info. The child displays multiple addresses, one row at a time. There can only be one primary address for a name and this is designated by a checkbox at the top of the child form.If the user wants to change the primary address to another address, then they find the other address and click on the checkbox. The form checks the other addresses and if one is found that is designated as primary, the user is warned that one already exists and prompts them to change it.
So for example, a name has 2 addresses, the 2nd being the primary address. The user wants to change the 1st address to be primary. They click on the Primary Address checkbox for the 1st address.A warning displays that there is already an address listed as primary. The user then answers the prompt to change the 1st address to the primary address. The checkbox for the 2nd address will be unchecked and the checkbox will be checked for the 1st address. My problem is getting the checkbox unchecked for the 2nd address. If I close the form and reopen, then the checkbox is unchecked. How do I refresh the checkbox for the 2nd address? Here is the code I'm using to find if an address has already been marked as primary:[code]......
I have 2 columns of checkboxes in a gridview, where the header also contains a checkbox. If i select the header checkbox, it will check all corresponding checkboxes in its colomnow, what I want to happen is if I select column 1 checkbox, column 2 checkboxes should get unchecked and vice-versa.
<%@ Page Language="VB" AutoEventWireup="false" CodeFile="Default.aspx.vb" Inherits="_Default" %> <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN"
I am refreshing a form, and I want to assure the checkboxes are cleared when refreshing. I can clear the textboxes and masked textboxes, but cannot figure out to revert the checkbox back to the UnChecked state.
myObject has a property called rect (which is a Rectangle). During runtime I will want to chage the X position of such rectangle, but I am given this error:
Expression is a value and therefore cannot be the target of an assignment.
It is my understanding and experience that VB.NET does not perform well with moving graphics from point A to point B in a form. How do I draw a rectangle or a line and move it from point A to point B? Is there a reliable way to do this without seeing a black rectangle around the moving object on every frame? I've tried this with bitmaps before but it doesn't work. I see the frame rendering and it's way to slow. Perhaps there is an animation Control or library?
