Drop Down List Value Remain Selected Even After Submit Button Click?

I have 2 drop down lists and 1 submit button. It works such that after the user has selected values from BOTH the drop down lists, then the user will click a "Search" button. My problem is, after the user click the "Search" button, the second drop down list is no longer displayed with the selected value, instead it displayed a default value. May I know how can I make sure the selected value remain selected even after the user clicks the "Search" button on the page?

i developed an application which takes input from drop down list and then creates files when we click on that button for specified value in dropdownlist.And if we click on send button it sends to remote database.All the application is working fine. I am trying to check to see if a value in a textbox is already in a drop down list. If it is, I will simply write to a label. If the textbox value is not in the dropdown list then I want it to write to the dropdownlist.

How can I click the submit button after I've sent a string to a website using httpwebrequest?

I need code for getting the Submit button to click on this website.url...i checked the page source and have been able to get the username/password to enter on my Webbrowser. However, I cannot figure out how to grab the Submit button and simulate a click.I managed a work around in which I set the focus on the "password" element and used SendKeys to send ENTER, however I don't want to use this method.

Below is is an HTML form and below that, is a vb procedure, "LoginExamp" that enters in the username and password. I am unable to locate the button however and click it since it does not seem to show up as a mshtml.HTMLInputElement. "htmlInput.click()" never runs. How can I adjust the loginExamp code so that the button is clicked.

I've worked out how to create a DropDownList using the following code: <select id="salesPersonDropList" runat="server"></select> In my .aspx page, then my code behind loops through database output running:

I have a webbrowser and on a form I need it to fill text. The problem is, in order for the submit button to activate, you have to atleast type in 1 letter for it to update and make it send. The problem is when I do document.getElementById("p1").innerHTML= "SSSS" it works but it wont update the submit button to allow me to submit the form. What should I do?

I have a view with a few checkboxes that can be selected or unselected. I'd like to always register any change in a checkbox, without the use of a submit button (the user could forget to do it, and it would waste time). So, is there a way to handle this inside the view? I looked at "How do I place an image with a mouse-click in Javascript?" but it had a small snippet of Java; immensely larger than my knowledge of Java. And that is the closest I've come to finding an answer in the past week. Here's what I would like to do (don't know if its even possible):
I have a panel and a toolstrip with 3 buttons. Each button represents a different image. I want to click on a button (once) and then move into the panel and everytime I click the mouse button it drops the image where ever I clicked. This only ends when either I click back on the same button or one of the other buttons. I do not want to drag an image into the panel each time. In other words the button stays depressed and the event/action stays active.

I have to hidden buttons on my page that I can trigger using JavaScript (__dopostback...). I also have a list of object on my page and a dropdownlist giving the user the possibility to sort those objects on the page. My code checks the current value of the dropdownlist on Databind of the list and applies the chosen sort method to the list. The first button is triggered when the user has selected another sort method from the list.
The second button is triggered when the user adds a new item to the list. Sortmethod "sort2" should be set automatically in the dropdownlist if this happens. So when the second button has been clicked, I need to set the selected item of the dropdownlist dynamically so I can check the value of the selected value later in the DataBind method of the dropdownlist and know what sort method should be applied.
I don't succeed in changing the selected value dynamically. I'm using to controls: First is the objects.vb and the second is the ObjectContainer.vb. Objects.vb contains the two buttons, the dropdownlist and an instance of the objectcontainer. The objectcontainer contains the list with objects that needs to be sorted based on the value selected in the objects control.

The ContextMenuStrip tied to the ListView control. However, the right click option (edit)appear where ever i click on the ListView area, this gives me exceptional error because the implementation of edit can only cope with a selected row. I only want it to appear when on a selected row (blue highlighted row). How can i do it?
