How can I click the submit button after I've sent a string to a website using httpwebrequest?
Heres my code:
Private Sub Form1_Load(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles MyBase.Load
Dim wr As HttpWebRequest = DirectCast(WebRequest.Create("[URL]"), HttpWebRequest)
Dim encoder As New System.Text.ASCIIEncoding
Dim stringdata As String = "code=" & Clipboard.GetText & Environment.NewLine & "&submit=submit;"
[Code] .....
But it doesn't work. the string I'm sending converts ok when I open the site + do the conversion manually, but using the above code it reports an error:
Statement fragment: please enter a complete statement.
I've double checked + it must be a problem with the stringdata line.

I have 2 drop down lists and 1 submit button. It works such that after the user has selected values from BOTH the drop down lists, then the user will click a "Search" button. My problem is, after the user click the "Search" button, the second drop down list is no longer displayed with the selected value, instead it displayed a default value. May I know how can I make sure the selected value remain selected even after the user clicks the "Search" button on the page?
For your info, my coding goes as
Private Sub Page_Load(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles MyBase.Load
Dim strSelectedUsername As String

View 1 RepliesI have a webbrowser and on a form I need it to fill text. The problem is, in order for the submit button to activate, you have to atleast type in 1 letter for it to update and make it send. The problem is when I do document.getElementById("p1").innerHTML= "SSSS" it works but it wont update the submit button to allow me to submit the form. What should I do?
View 2 RepliesI have a view with a few checkboxes that can be selected or unselected. I'd like to always register any change in a checkbox, without the use of a submit button (the user could forget to do it, and it would waste time). So, is there a way to handle this inside the view? Up to now, I've only used the controller to do that job.

I have an ASP.NET page with a Submit button. When I click the button my code runs and then the page reload/refresh....the whole page gets posted back.
View 4 RepliesI have an asp.net application, where the user would click a button and launch another page (within the same application). The issue I am facing is that the original page and the newly launched page should both be launched. I tried response.redirect, but that tends to unload the original page.
View 3 RepliesI have a web application built around a frameset. The main page (with the frameset layout) is index.aspx. After the user logs in, if there are any alerts it redirects the main content frame to an alerts page with a confirmation button on it. When they click this button I want the index.aspx to be reloaded. If I use the response.redirect("index.aspx") on button click it reloads the main content frame with another frameset.
The server-side button click sets a flag within the database so that the user doesnt see the alert again.
how do I force a complete reload of the entire frameset?
I am building an application. This shows a form, header and footer are to be kept fixed. In the middle there is a Group Box that hold a question with different option. I have managed to automate the following page: https://post.craigslist.org/atl/S/msg/none/x and even click the "Continue" button, but I noticed that my vb 2008 program is creating an infinite loop and tries to click "Continue" buttons on following pages. I only want my program to click the continue button once, fill out more data on the next page and then click another continue button on a later page. But I need the following code to end on the first page before I can continue coding for the following pages so that the web browser doesn't go crazy.Here is the code that I am using and not sure if this is called an infinite loop, but that is what it seems to be doing:
theElementCollection = WebBrowser1.Document.GetElementsByTagName("button")
For Each curElement As HtmlElement In theElementCollection
If curElement.GetAttribute("value").Equals("Continue") Then[code].......
I found that if you press F5 or refress from browser window, the last event fires again
example, I have clicked on a button, the button event is carried out normally, but if I refresh the page by pressing F5 key the same event is fired again.
(I'm a VB beginner, for the record : ) I am working on a form of an application. The form calls a table that contains fields. The I manually altered the column properties of the table to "Read Only". This is to avoid accidents and such. In the form I want the user to be able to add a row. Except there is 2 problems, but I am only concern with one.

I have a popup aspx page that receives data from a parent page gridview Edit click. There is a great deal of parsing of data from parent page to pop up as the data is being translated in pop up, then sent back to parent page to be reassembled in the original text block before update.
When the popup passes the data back or is canceled, the parent page gridview is still in Edit mode.I would like to pass the Cancel or Update button click from the popup to the parent page gridview so it can complete the update or cancel event without asking the user to click the corresponding command button link from the gridview edit mode, to Update or Cancel.
UPDATE: There is also a jquery UIBlocker on the Parent page to prevent the user from returning to the page until the PopUp page processing has been completed. Below is the critical code:
PARENT Page:
function parentFunc(a) {
// Unblocks on return from popup page.
$.unblockUI({});

Had a problem with preventing the popup from reloading. So there is an if condition in the load event. A dynamic number of controls are built on the popup as literals. So the Page Init event and Page Load event fire on non Postback to rebuild the controls.
