I find myself copying single files to multiple different machines, so would like to create something to help.I would like a numericupdown, which dynamically adds text boxes (which will be destination file paths). I will obviously need it to remove them too when I decrease the number.

I am using VB.NET vb 2008 . I am trying to create text boxes dynammically and remove them here is the code i have written so far

I am able to create the textboxes but only a few of them are removed. by using For Each ctrl In Panel1.Controls it doesn't retrieve all the controls and some ae duplicated as well.
Im trying to code a program, that will only accept numeric values in a text box, and if you try to enter non-numeric values you get a message box that says "Please Enter Numeric Values Only." Is this possible?

I currently have a subroutine that generates a file with specific parameters, and it relies on user input in 2 fields. Now I also have a numericupdown control. What I'm looking for is a way that if Numericupdown.Value = 3 then it will generate 6 textboxes and once the parameters are filled out completely it will generate subroutine times(numericupdown.value) and output it to a single file.

ive got code like the code below that creates textboxes dynamically. I want to be able to click a button and delete all of these textboxes i make, however im not sure how to do this. When i tell the program to remove the TBIndex control it does not do anything. The only way i get it to work is if i put the command in the same sub as this code. This code runs in a loop by the way.
So if the loop runs one time and creates the TBIndex control and i have a line of code right after to remove the textbox, then it does not show up on my form. But if i put the command in to remove the textboxes somewhere else and run the code the loop runs abunch of times and creates all teh textboxes and the loop is complete, then the remove control part is called and nothing happens. I just need a way to clear all the textboxes off my form with like a button. I also tried painting over the textboxes with a big grey rectangle but that dindt work.

What I am wanting to do is write a single function, where in you click on a button and it will pass the text box name (so that it knows which text box to edit), as well as the value inside of the text box (to make sure that the new character stat ceiling is taken into account).

View 8 RepliesI have two Numeric "spinner" boxes on my form called, nrcStartNumber and nrcEndNumber. The valid range for these boxes is 1-9999 (set for the controls at design). My question is what is the proper way to validate the two controls against each other such that the nrcEndNumber is always greater than nrcStartNumber? A similar question would be the same thing with two datetimepickers (formatted to time) such that the end time is always after the start time?

After the user finishes with the formatting, I want to give the user an option to print the work.But its the work is not done on the Rich Text Box but on picture boxes. I am not even sure, how many of the picture boxes would be there after the user finishes the job, since I have provided option for dynamically creating picture boxes as well.

If I validate for either numeric value OR range value there is no error (for example, comment out one of the validation statements), but if both statements are present and I enter "a" I get an error "Conversion from string "a" to type 'Double' is not valid." I have form with ComboBox and TextBox. ComboBox has values A, B. And I would like to validate TextBox. If user select A so TextBox need to check for numeric and amount of numbers can't exceed 10 characters. If will entered not numeric characters error will indicated. If user select B so TextBox will check for string and user can enter any characters. Only if box is empty error will indicated.

I also would like to do this with combo boxes and their selected indexes. So if the combo box has 10 items in it; the new selected index would be the random number generated above.

This involves the customer giving the employee information such as name, address, postcode etc and the employee inputting that information into text boxes and combo boxes that are in the application.
What I would like to be able to do is after the customers information is given over the phone, I need to be able to send that information to a database which will probably most likely be done by button click. In this case, I'm using Microsoft Access. I'm also hoping that I can do this within Visual Basic coding.
The database is set out with multiple tables which include a customer table and a ticket table and both have multiple fields such as first name, surname in the customers table. Both of these tables are in use with the information that the customer gives over the phone.
I've already asked on other forums and people are where replying giving me third party programs that I could use to implement this, something I don't really want to do.

Im trying to make a program that allows the user to view additional information via moving the cursor over the label to view (make visble) additional information, in the form of text boxes and/or picture boxes. How will i go about doing this?
View 6 RepliesI am currently trying to allocate a number of group boxes dynamically. Previously (in other languages) when I have carried out something like this I have used the '&' to substitute the contents of the variable direct into the code I.E
For I = 1 to 20
Groupboxname = "GroupBox"+I

This would then have the result of creating a button in all the group boxes, however this does not appear to work in VB .net 2010
