Add Random Number To All Text Boxes Which Create Dynamically?
Mar 15, 2012
My problem is after I created 5 rows of text boxes, I want to add random numbers to all of the text boxes in one time when I click the button. Here are my coding to create text box dynamically:
Private Sub btnAdd5Row_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles btnAddFiveRow.Click
For Me.count = count To 5
Public Sub RandomNumbers() Dim s(4) As String Dim RandomNumber As Byte
I don't know if you can tell what I am trying to do here, so I will try to explain. I what to create for random numbers and place them into for different text boxes. I also would like to do this with combo boxes and their selected indexes. So if the combo box has 10 items in it; the new selected index would be the random number generated above.
I am using VB.NET vb 2008 . I am trying to create text boxes dynammically and remove them here is the code i have written so far
Private Sub setTextBox() Dim num As Integer Dim pos As Integer
[Code]....
I am able to create the textboxes but only a few of them are removed. by using For Each ctrl In Panel1.Controls it doesn't retrieve all the controls and some ae duplicated as well.
I have a number of images that I want to select a random number of and populate that number of picture boxes either dynamically or that already exist but can't think of the logic that would do it.
I considered dynamically creating them but don't know of a way to name them uniquely. I tried using pcbx& a variable but it didn't like that. Placing the image inside picture boxes that already exist, I couldn't think of a way to differentiate between them without what seemed excessive repetitive coding.
I am trying to follow the book 'Sams teach yourself VB 2008'. It was going well until the end of hour 4. For exercise 1 I have created the form with a button and two text boxes, but cannot work out the code I need to move text between the two boxes. The Object Browser does not seem to help - am I reading it wrong?
i wanted to create a random number generator that iterates through a series of number between an upper and lower bound. say between 1 and 100. Basically I want the number generator to pick the numbers randomly and then display them until all 100 numbers are picked without any duplicates. so thats easy I can code that. But what I don't know is how to show those numbers in the order they are generated on a windows form. So i have basically a variable that I will let be changed 100 times (or however many times I want, I don't want their to be a size constraint just using 100 as an example) and each time the number is generated I want it displayed on screen (in a list or something not sure what. Hopefully some type of scrollable list) and each successive number also to be displayed in same format beneath it so that I can see the list in its entirety. What type of form control do i use for that? I could do messagebox.show for each iteration but then user is required to hit ok after each iteration and that would obviously be a bad idea if user selected a large number to work through. Anyways, code isn't exactly necessary just point me in the right direction, i.e.what control (if any) to use.how to format the change in data?
ive got code like the code below that creates textboxes dynamically. I want to be able to click a button and delete all of these textboxes i make, however im not sure how to do this. When i tell the program to remove the TBIndex control it does not do anything. The only way i get it to work is if i put the command in the same sub as this code. This code runs in a loop by the way.
So if the loop runs one time and creates the TBIndex control and i have a line of code right after to remove the textbox, then it does not show up on my form. But if i put the command in to remove the textboxes somewhere else and run the code the loop runs abunch of times and creates all teh textboxes and the loop is complete, then the remove control part is called and nothing happens. I just need a way to clear all the textboxes off my form with like a button. I also tried painting over the textboxes with a big grey rectangle but that dindt work.
I find myself copying single files to multiple different machines, so would like to create something to help.I would like a numericupdown, which dynamically adds text boxes (which will be destination file paths). I will obviously need it to remove them too when I decrease the number.
With the following example of code, whenever the user clicks a menu item it will load up a new form. This form will then read from a database, and create text boxes throughout.
Private Sub allowances_Load(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles MyBase.Load If mainMenu.currentSlic.ToString = "0" Then
Can give me coding to create 6 random number in single word.. .For information i am using this coding to create serial number. This coding will use to generate 6 different number as output.
I'm trying to lern VS 2010 from VB 6 and one of the things i'm hawing a problem whid is control array. In vb 6 if you create a text box it's named "Text1" and if you yust copy it and paste it it renames to "Text1(0)" and the new one's name is "Text1(0)" and the code would lock like this
[code]...
then it would print for each loop the random result in one of the text boxes corresponding to i.
I want to create an array V0(9) using random number generation. For example I generated V0(9) = {1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,1} I want to use 12345 + 67891. How can I separate to use two parts of the array.
My
Public Class Form1 Dim i As Integer Dim V0(9) As Double
I have created a basic query generator which allows a user to select the Select, WHERE and criteria attributes using a number of checkboxes. However i have got stuck. In the results form i have the following code
The program keeps on crashing if the user does not select the corresponding amount of display records from above for the amount of attributes they want for the SELECT part of the query in the intreface in form 1.
How would i go about making something where the number of SELECT attributes selected which are listed in a string create the correct number of textbox fields in the results form (form2)
Beginning VB 2010, had a project that requires us to create a list box of 25 randomly generated 0s or 1s. Problem is when I put the loop in, it only repeats the same random number, not different one each loop. What am I doing wrong? This is the code I have so far...Code in Question:
'Declare new random object Dim RandomGenerator As New Random intRandomNumber = RandomGenerator.Next(0, 2)[code]......
Im making a text based game that i need to randomly select different numbers of lines from a text file then pass them to a list box.[code]...
First the code needes to identify the 4th element then randomly select lines from lines that contain that element. The code needs to work out how many lines have a matching text to the 4th array then randomly select lines from that total no need for a maximum limit to that number. The same line must only been show the once at a time, but It can then be shown again on a different button click.[code]...
I am trying to create a Random Number Generator (dice roller) that will dump its results into an open chat window. I was lead towards using DDE but have never used it before. Is this the best method? if not, What is?
Im making a text based game that i need to randomly select different numbers of lines from a text file then pass them to a list box. The text file is made in the following format:
First the code needes to identify the 4th element then randomly select lines from lines that contain that element. Im stuck on how to randomly select lines from that list. This is the code i have so far.
I have a form which contains a large number of textboxes covering numerous panels/tab controls and I would like to have the user only have one text box visible at a given time and when the user clicks on the screen to another label with a corresponding text box I would like that to appear and the other currently open to disappear. Currently I have the following loop that goes through and changes the visibility of the appropriate controls unless it is the name of the control I am looking for:
'This is used to iterate through all the controls in the form and ensure the visibility of all other controls ' than the active control is set to false.
I have a form that needs to create textboxes based off the count of rows in my dataset table. The amount of rows could vary from 10 to 20, so I need a loop to add the textboxes to add the textboxes on load. Right now I have the loop down and other things shown below.[code]...
I have some operations of Picture Boxes etc being performed. After the user finishes with the formatting, I want to give the user an option to print the work. But its the work is not done on the Rich Text Box but on picture boxes. I am not even sure, how many of the picture boxes would be there after the user finishes the job, since I have provided option for dynamically creating picture boxes as well.
I've read numerous posts and threads about random number generation, but I havent' run across this.If I generate a bunch of random numbers, the results are radically different if I create a new Random generator for each number than if I use on Random generator for all the numbers. The results are much more consistent and evenly distributed if I use the same Random generator.I would have thought the opposite, because creating a new Random generator each time should reduce the number of random repetitions, if a different time slice is used to create the random number.[code]......
I am working on doing a Copy and Paste in Excell. I need a way for the user to input the range for coping form the first sheet. So I created two text box. But now I can not figure out how to combine the text box values as to create the range. Here is what I am woking with.
Private Sub BUILD_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles BUILD.Click Dim moApp1 As Object
