Error - Downloaded Chilkat Component From The Net

I have downloaded Chilkat component from the net and I'm trying to use it in my project. This is my VB

But it simply won't work. It always throws that exception and I don't know why. I tried debugging and it sad that the value of bundle is nothing. The error is on this line of VB For i = 0 To bundle.MessageCount - 1
The interesting thing is that it worked ONE time only. And after that time, never again. What's the problem?

I am a new developer in general and decided on VB.NET for my first language. So, I decided that I should write a basic FTP client since the types of apps I plan on developing later on will incorporate file transfer. I imported the chilkat dll as a reference to my project since the FTP seems to work great. Anyhow, I've designed my program with separate interfaces for sending and getting files (see attached screenshot).
The problem here is that I use an openfiledialogbox to select the local file to transfer to an FTP server which this populates the textbox with "C: ext.txt", but chilkat wants the filename without the C:, or I receive an prohibited file name error when executing the send button. So basically I just need a way to store the filename text.txt without the C: extension so I can specify THAT name as the "remotefilename" which Chilkat will understand. The way I'd really like to do it is to have my send button remove the C: from the existing textbox and just leave the filename there - that would be fine.
I tried to research this and found that the path.Getfilename may be used for this, but I'm not totally sure how i should go about it. Here is the code of the Send button for my FTP Program so far. *By the way, this program works 100% if i just create another textbox, take the filename "test.text" and reference that as the remotefilename.

I'm a Flash developer and since short I wanted to try putting .swf's inside of vb.net applications.I can put it in, but whenever I want to build it I get the following error.

Using Visual Studio 2008 I've built a COM object that targets the .Net Framework 2.0.
I'm trying to use the component in MS Access 2007 on XP SP3. If I use early binding it works flawlessly. If I use late binding I get this error:
Run-time error '429': ActiveX component can't create object

im trying to install visual basic 2008 express edition, but when it gets to installing it starts the first part but comes up with an error which says "setup could not install the following component, visual C++ runtime pre requisites, I'm running on windows 7 and have tried to do a web install and i have tried saving the file on the computer and burning it onto a disk then doing a offline install, but that hasn't worked either. So what can i do to install it.

i have an ocx called TTF16.ocx. It is 32 bit and I placed it in Windows/SysWoW64 and register it as an admistrator (My system is Windows 7 64 bit). The control appears in the toolbox. When I try to add it in the form I got the following warnings

I am getting a run-time error within my VB app:

I have run this application under WinXP and previous Windows operating system fine, but when I installed my application on Windows Vista I get the above error at run-time.
how I could resolve this error as I believe it is not a programming error as the app works on other Windows OS's fine. Could it be something to do with registering dll's etc.

My dot net windows application (visual studio 2008, vb.net) is running fine on 32 bit windows XP. I am getting the below error while i am using Microsfot excel interop. In my server there no excel installation. With out excel installation i want to export data to excel. So i used excel interop. But i am getting the below error.

I am trying add the prerequisites with my setup i have set the prerequisites download location to the same whwere my application is and now i am getting this type of several errors.

I am converting an old Vb6 solution to .net 2.0 in vs2010. I've been working in C# for about 3 years now and .net for 5. I don't recall having this problem in C#, but if I want initialize a readonly collection of DerivedControlFoo Is there a clean way to do it besides creating a sub to do it all off somewhere else? I'd love to be able to do it at the class level at the declaration for readability and simplicity.
