I'm trying to create dependent (cascading) drop down boxes that can work in browsercompatibility mode. I've written an event handler that's tied to the first control to then populate the second based on values in a SharePoint list. My problem is the the VB code in VSTA keeps having an "End of line expected" error at

I use VB to get data through my form. I have some optional fields in my form and I have a problem with the following code:

When the optional field 'Questions1' is inserted into the form I get the value 'true' by the IsNode() function.
If the field it is not inserted I have an exception stating that the reference is not correct (and it is indeed true). Is there a way to verify about a node, whether it is present or not in my form?
I am new to Office programming. I am trying to automate sending Infopath forms through Outlook. The form must be displayed in the body of the e-mail, which the customer can fill in and send it back. I am able to do this manually by selecting File->New->Choose Infopath Form through Outlook.

View 1 RepliesI have an Infopath form that retrieves data from a datasource, then populates a repeating table with a dynamic number of rows depending on employid. Once the data is populated, a "user" can enter numbers, times, etc. That part works fine. Now, what I would like to do is submit the data to a sql database. I just can't figure out how to navigate through each record of the repeating table. I have tried the following code, but have been unsuccessful. I can not get the XpathNodeIterator to work on the secondary datasource.

how I can pass data from my VB form to InfoPath?
I'd like to have a link on my VB form that will open an InfoPath Form with some information already pre-populated (name, date, etc.) with information that is already filled in on the VB form. I'm pretty sure there is a way to do this, just haven't figured it out yet.

This is the code this exception occurs when i click on the home button of my webbrowser.or i enter any site on the combobox.
I have searched for two weeks, every night, exhaustively reading forum threads and trying all suggested solutions no matter how outlandish. Just as is the case with the many many forum threads about this same issue, the site works fine on my development machine. It deploys with no errors. It works from the production server and reads data from the database, but when it attempts to access a profile it crashes with this error.
A number of posts say to check or uncheck an option called "remove app_code.compiled file" but apparently this was a Visual Studio 2005 option. It is nowhere to be found in Visual Studio 2010. A number of posts say to make sure the App_Code.dll is present in my bin directory. It is present. I've deleted the app_code.compile file manually to see if that made any difference. I've changed the target framework from 4.0 to 2.0 and 3.5. I've completely deleted the site in IIS, created a different folder with a different name and redeployed the site with every combination of "allow this precompiled site to be updatable" and "Use fixed naming and single page assemblies".
i've included references to System.Web.Profile and System.Web and System.Web.Profile.ProfileCommon. I've created a new, fresh website targeting .net framework v4.0 and copied that web.config file to my application and recreated my profile entries to ensure that I didn't jack anything up in the config file along the way.

I am getting a "null reference exception" error when I run my application, this error occurs even before the webbrowser has navigated anywhere. Why would I get this error without a webbrowser document complete occurring?

I am working on creating an application (game) for a PocketPC with Visual Studio2005 in VB/.NET. I try to dynamically create a (new)button upon clicking a label and assigning certain properties to this button. For this I used below displayed code, but this button does not appear on 'Form1' - which is big enough to display it- but creates an error: A NullReferenceException. Which is inside a class which overrides a custom list base. The code is occassionaly throwing an unhandled exception, System.NullReferenceException, on this line when used in production:

The problem is in the LoadTables in the Server class. When it hits Databases.Add(db) it gives me a NullReference error (Object reference not set). I don't understand how it is getting that, all the objects are set.
